This company illegally telemarkets consumers by calling numbers on the Federal Do Not Call list to solicit business. We have filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office, informing them of this illegal activity, and will be obtaining an attorney that specializes in TCPA cases.
My private number has been on the DoNotCall registry since 2017. It has never been given out for any inquiry, sales info, or promotion. Sadly, my data was leaked out because of the Equifax security breach a number of years ago.
Back in 08/2023 I started getting bombarded with the live telemarketer calls with the heavy India/Pakistan accents. They always used different numbers and refused to stop calling, despite me stating this 100s of times.
I keep detailed logs on all calls and record them as well as I am in a 1 party consent state. Today was call #553 from this group. It came in on a number marked as spam of 2052704005. As per an attorney, I played along with the telemarketer since she was already told several times to stop. The overseas call center screens the cold calls and then xfers it to the US company they work with. The US person stated numerous times the company name was Cleardebt with a website of cleardebt.ai. I have this recorded.
That website also shows they go by thecleardebt.com and also clearcredit.ai.
They claim to have an office in Washington state with the registration showing the director as SAJEEL MANZOOR, with a physical address of 1400 112th Ave SE, STE 1100, Bellview VA 98004-6901. That building rents out boxes for as little as $69 a month and is called a Virtual Office by the company at Bellview Office Park.
A search on their 2052704005 number that was on my caller ID shows it was also reported for fake fraud alert scams and student debt refi robocalls.
They ignore TCPA requirement as well as repeated requests to stop calling. I have have been debt free for over a decade but they don't care because of the constant cold calls.
I did file a complaint with the FTC on this matter. The Washington AG will also be notified later today about this illegal call center and the virtual Washington physical business address.
One should never do any business with illegal telemarketers, and this is no exception. Do you really want to trust your personal and financial statements to a company that refuses to comply with the law?
