We are deeply concerned about the treatment of our SEN son here. He was reportedly shamed for his traits and labeled as 'behaviour'. Unlike his previous club of 2 years where he and others had no issues, our experience here has been troubling.
The owner, hasn't provided a clear reason for a decision and sent a conflicting email without explanation, which is distressing for our son who keeps asking why.
Our SARs requests has not had a read receipt, consistent with the owner verbally stating he wouldn't discuss it further then not replying to a simple clarification question of did he write the exclusion letter as it was signed off TEAM? Thus backing up his shut down on the matter. When asking for SARs initially he stated 'what you are referring to in your line of work doesn't always translate to every other line of work. What you do in your field, what I do in my field is going to be different.'
We are denied access to crucial footage for a third-party review, which is alarming, especially given talk of deletion while a third-party review is pending. Deleting this could be seen as spoliation, and we have formally requested preservation of all footage from April 24th and 25th, 2025, for transparency. Update been allowed 30 days extension but for court only so still need third-party access to gain what happened that a child with no previous issues suddenly gets removed as call cited minor issues.
We are seriously concerned about the resistance to providing all footage to a third-party.
We often felt minor childhood behaviours were unfairly criticized, raising questions about their understanding of children in general let alone SEN needs. Our 10-year-old was very upset by the sudden ban. We specifically need the footage showing our sons distress.
The "Terms and Conditions" discussion felt unusual, and their own TCs don't seem to have been consistently followed.
This situation has caused our family significant stress, impacted university commitments, and resulted in financial and emotional strain.
This is an experience at a Braintree Wraparound, so im sure others are fine.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, please reach out.
