scam

People have linked this company to solent conservatories -they appear to be part of the same scam. Solent conservatories have taken £3500 deposit, closed their website, email, phone, moved office and no longer respond to us. As others have pointed out there is no social media or reviews no that the website has gone. No companies house records. It seems that these companies are using fake addresses for their buisness offices - our last letter to Solent conservatories in Christchurch was returned to sender and the addresses on coastal conservatories website are business parks which do not list that as one of the businesses there. We have contacted CAB, action fraud, the bank and next we are talking to a solicitor about how to take things further.

Please don't use this company

Please don't use this company. They delivered some of my conservatory without a roof which never turned up. I spent a lot of time trying to track it down and was told it was in a garden. The glass company said I couldn't recover it unless Coastal gave permission even though I had paid for it. I don't know what scam he is running but I am £6000 poorer because of it. I found local company to sort it all out. Please stop these people and where is our consumer protection

SCAM- beware

We have recently (within the last week) been visited by a gentleman of Solent Conservatories (not to be confused with the Solent Conservatories in Fareham, who I believe they are piggy backing off the reputation of). This gentleman has visited us three times and has provided us with quotes for the installation of an orangery on our house.

We had a feeling that something was “off” so decided to look into the company a bit further, and found the following:

- company is not registered on companies house
- no social media presence anywhere
-no brochure available
- stock images of conservatories (not their own work) on their website (I checked this by doing a quick Google image search)
- very shifty when I asked to see images of their recent work
- tried to push us to order quickly with the promise of discounts, despite us not having decided on final designs etc

Thanks to the power of social media and trust pilot, I noticed that Solent Conservatories are in fact linked to Coastal, and also “Glass Works Group Ltd”. Glass Works are on companies house with this gentleman listed as a director, in addition to his wife, (who, incidentally, is very prominent on social media - both Instagram and Facebook).

I have spoken to two individuals who have been scammed by these companies (taking money, not completing promised work) that the man who visited us was the same man fronting these companies.

Please BEWARE and do not use these companies!

A thoroughly professional company. A pleasure to work with them.

This company is prepared to do a huge amount of work to give you the conservatory you want. From Day One Gary, who liaised with us over the design, went to great pains to ensure that our requests were met. The teams of builders who came out were friendly, polite and were careful of our property. They were replacing a worn out conservatory and took care to protect our existing tiled floor and walls. We are delighted with the finished product which looks good and is of a high standard.

Get your money back and stop them

Get your money back and stop them
For all those that have used the following,

Precision Glass Group (PGG limited) find them on Companies house. You will also find other addresses for the man involved who isn’t allowed to be named individually on here.
Aj1 build conservatories and orangaries
Aj1build.co.uk
Coastalconservatories
AJ conservatories
Fourseasons conservatories
Or any other company linked to these people and those that came to take your money.

Call your bank if you paid by debit card and use debit card dispute.
Raise a fraud claim
Ask for a charge back

With credit card raise a section 75.

Send copies of all paperwork provided and all emails or text messages send as much evidence as possible.

Call your CAB and register the fraud and also register with the police. Both will refer to local area fraud office. Also inform trading standards.

Reported also to BBC watchdog. The more that push this way the more chance of them being exposed on national television.

Don’t listen to his nonsense on the calls, you have rights and I suggest you exercise them.

The more of you that do this the better the chance of them being stopped and taken to task.

Let’s ensure these people can no longer do this to others.

Keep your money safe and do as much due diligence as possible when looking for builders and windows. My advice, don’t get taken in by fancy websites or reviews. Go check, visit the company and see the work. Check any business registration numbers on company house and ensure they match up. Ask for VAT registrations and again make sure they match up. More importantly don’t do business with any of the companies above or those that are linked to them.

BIG THANKS to previous Reviewers

A big and grateful thank you to everyone that has written reviews highlighting the evil scams carried out by Peter Noble / Phil Hall /Coastal Conservatories.
Thank you also to my daughter, who spotted your reviews and warned me in time to stop the deposit payment I had made.
My good news is that I subsequently placed an order with an established local company with offices and a showroom. Importantly, they were also able to let me visit and talk to their satisfied customers that had completed projects. I'm now very happy with my WarmerRoof installation. Incidentally WarmerRoof had never heard of or supplied their product to Coastal Conservatories.

We had a lucky escape with this…

We had a lucky escape with this company. Everything looked above board and decent quote but then alarm bells rang.

The salesman Phil looked annoyed we left the deposit by credit card and no money was taken from the card. After a few weeks we were asked to send a large some of money to a company called Glassworks (not Coastal Conservatories) and then told to send £10 if that's received then send the rest. It just didn't feel right and luckily it was above the amount we could send in one go.

The more I started to look into them the more I was convinced it was a scam, the images on the website are not their own, the vans on the website don't even look real. The address didn't check out, no social media presence or genuine reviews. They used a name very similar to a reputable local company and the reviews initially looked like theirs.

We backed out, Phil did contact us and we explained our concerns, he did send a good reply and offered for us to view a conservatory in the area once it was completed. We never heard another word.

We did report this experience, it is a shame it's not been investigated and people have fallen victim of this scam.

I was taken in by the false website

I was taken in by the false website and the following expansive glossy proposal. I wish that I had known about Trustpilot before, but discovered it too late. After 6 months of misery of dealing with Coastal Conservatories, I now have a conservatory that leaks worse than the the one it was supposed to replace. The workmanship is appalling.

Please avoid this company.

Like you all, we have had a horrific experience at the hands of Peter Noble. I won't use the expletives that I'd like to use. We were conned by Noble acting under the guise of All Aspects Conservatories which has recently been closed down. It is vitally important that you contact Trading Standards and lodge a report, it is also important that contact you bank's fraud department. Trading Standards know all about Noble and your report will not fall on deaf ears. If you are a victim of this *******'s criminal actions and are out of pocket, get on to your bank and keep on the case. It has worked for us after months of anguish. It goes without saying, AVOID this and any other NOBLE infected company at all costs.

Poor quality, poor experience, conmen, AVOID.

This company is a complete scam and quite evidently criminal. We paid a lot of money for a conservatory so we expected something of the same standard. Originally we were told it would take 2 months, 5 months later still not finished. Builders didn’t turn up on time once, spent half the day smoking and would then leave and pass responsibility onto someone else. The best part was they installed a toilet that didn’t have any drainage meaning one week after completion, the toilet was blocked and we had to arrange another builder to sort it out for us. After excessive attempts at communication (probably over 30), ‘Phil Hall’ attended to speak with us. This is the same man who then denied being Phil Hall and stated that someone had been using his identity, which we later found out was wrong. Seeing this reviews has made me feel angered and upset. This company are a real con and I hope they don’t get away with this any further.

Do not even consider…

I have to agree with all of the experiences so far.
I agreed to have the work started on my conservatory on the 29th November, they started 1 week late after me chasing them up, this was after being promised the would be completed by Christmas. I did say at the time I would be happy as long as it was finished by the end of January.
After a lot of chasing we are still waiting for building regulation work to be completed. After all this time they now do not any letters e-mails or phone calls.

I have to concur with so many of these…

I have to concur with so many of these reviews. I drove to Southampton and told they’d never been seen there. They refused to meet any member of staff. After taking payment Peter Noble never answered his phone and I was refused a meeting with him. We cancelled the roof a couple of weeks prior to delivery but they still delivered. That was three months ago and no one from any of the companies involved has contacted us. We are now trying to get money back from credit card company and bank. I’ve given one star as there is no option for none!

Avoid

Had to cancel due to a stroke.
CC refused to return more than £700 from a £1,700 deposit.
Lousy ethical standards, beware.

Do not use - rubbish customer service

Again, sales man said great things, we went ahead. Never siad you pay different contractors to do the work. Took loads longer than they said Problems since it was done. My 81 year old Mum has not been able to lock her door. The lock broke within a week or so. I have been emailing for 2 months now and still not fixed. Underfloor heating has never worked, still waiting for it to be fixed. Never reply, still not come round to sort.

Dissatisfied with this company

This company did an orangery for us end of February 2023. The salesman told us it would be completed in one week but it took almost 3 weeks. Now works completed we have had many issues with the work, gutter leaking, plasterboard popping, doors not closing properly, & a lantern cover clip that’s keeps coming off causing slight leak. After sending many emails, messages on Phil Hall’s mobile they have now completely ignored us ! Phil Hall did answer one email saying they would be in touch to come & rectify these problems but that was 2 weeks ago & still no contact from him.

Update to my Previous review

Since writing my first review, I have been contacted by Hampshire Trading Standards. They have said that anyone who has found themselves in a similar situation as myself should contact the Citizens Advice Bureau who will pass on the details to Hampshire Trading Standards.
Please let's stop these people hurting others.
This also applies to Glass Works Group and All Aspects Conservatories.
