I have been trying to receive my refund…

I have been trying to receive my refund from this company since August.
I had been working with them to create a website, when my husband became gravely ill. I had spent thousands of dollars and was never satisfied at which point I had to abandon the project completely.
I have medical bills piling up and was promised a substantial refund back in August which never showed up!!!
Please they are guilty of elder abuse. They think I will just give up because I’m 69, well. Think again. This review is here to stay until I receive my refund.

Hired this company over 1 1/2 years ago…

Hired this company over 1 1/2 years ago to make me a website that they said they could do. All they did was show me some stuff to make it look like they new what they were doing, and started to ask for more money, over and over again. I tried to get a hold of them, they don't respond or have disappeared.

CodersAvenue (CA) falsely advertises ...

CodersAvenue (CA) falsely told me that they could update my website and provide an animated graphic for the intro to my website. After I paid CA for the services, I was then told CA cannot update my website unless I pay more to host it with CA. I was also informed after I paid CA for the animated graphic that CA cannot implement the animated graphic into my website. In both cases CA said they could deliver on my requirements, then once paid, changed course and said they cannot deliver. I am 150% NOT satisfied and would highly recommend you do not do business with this company. It has been over 4 months, multiple unannounced changes in project manager, lack of communication (sometimes weeks go by with no contact), uncomfortable sales pressure to purchase additional products and services, and I still don't have a functioning website or usable animated graphic. Add to this, that the changes being attempted by CA are being done to my production website at the moment which is customer facing. I have requested a full refund, however given the other customer complaints I'm not certain if CA will keep to their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. I had to contract with another competent agency to complete my website update.

This Company is a "Factory to making websites". Individuals who have unique products should NOT engage them to create a website. There are various stages leading to the final procedure. My project started on Sept 23rd 2021. This was to update and old site that I had, that was not secured, 1 - Contact at the website. This person is engaged in procuring your order. He provides you with a "Package" The package is not detailed and misleading to a new comer. The package is say $600 2 - You are now forwarded to a project manager. This Person now explains to you the bells and whistles. His job is to sign you up for the further costs . Photos, Number of Pages , Word content etc. His total is $120 per page so for a 12 Page website add $1200. He talks to you on various aspects, Security, SML. ****** PL and others and says that it is all inclusive. You spend hours on the phone telling him what you want on the website he says "YES" to everything you talk with him. A Mock site is presented to you, you ask for corrections and he agrees to that. We had decided not to use the old website but get a NEW Domain and Hosting *************, Additional cost $250. He said Hosting gives a free SSL certificate so there is no cost but did not put it in writing. On checking Hosting websites it clearly states FREE SSL CERTIFICATES. with hosting plans. He disappears after two week. 3- A second Project manager is on line with you. The same procedure with him. You are nor frustrated that you have to explain your project over again. He over the phone appologizes and again promises that all will be well. Another week passed and no communication. So I call the office no answer. I call the chat person on Website and he says the Supervisor will call me. Now another two- three weeks have gone. The Second Project Manager disappears 4- Supervisor comes on line and says he is going to straighten everything out. He puts me in touch of the "Developer" . Now I find out that The Project Manager conveys what I tell him to the Developer and some NON Conformity to communicate between Myself - Project Manager and Developer. The supervisor decided that he cannot handle this project and hands it over to another Project Manager. Another two weeks have gone. 5- 3rd Project Manager and the same procedure to familiarize him. My fault was that I did not ask the second Manager to put all his promises in writing and the 3rd Manager was going by the BOOK. I asked him when the project will be completed and he said another 15 days. I confronted him and said this was to be completed in 15 - 21 days from Sept 23rd. He asked me to wait and when he returned on the phone asked for $750 to expedite this project. I was furious. The delay was not on my part. It was agreed to continue at no extra cost. I had sent THREE Project Managers a detailed WORD Document as to what the Categories were and what the items in each category were. They were all mixed up and it took tens of e mails and as many phone calls to explain to the Project manager to straighten this matter. Now we are in the First week of Dec 2021. The project manger tells me that to secure the website there is an extra cost and that the agreed ************* domain is not available and *********.*** is, no written confirmation only on the phone. I Google hosting websites and find that ************* is available and that the hosting is about $3 - $6 per month and all of the packages include SSL. I ask the project manager this and he insists that i did not pay for it. Surely $250 payment for one year hosting Is OUT OF THE WORLD plus they all include a secure site. I feel that this Company has over charged me in all aspects and not provided what I need and asked for. Either they complete the Project with a secured website or return my money. In Summary, ONLY Deal with this Company if you have an understanding of a website

Terrible ethics and no focus on…

Terrible ethics and no focus on sticking to a deal. They continue to not provide the finished product. They got paid and then won't hand over the work. Richard their boss even rings to see if everything is OK - I complain and he says he will fix and then crickets. I am going to keep bagging them until they provide what I paid for and its up and working!

FRAUDS!! STAY AWAY!!

Frauds! Criminals! If you scroll through some the other frustrated customers' reviews and see "Mary N's" (I don't know her) it is as if her review could have come out of my own mouth - her complaints match my exact experience with these fakes! They take your money and tell you they will research your industry and come up with something perfect. They didn't even read the content and descriptions of my industry standard requirements I provided for them. Literally one supposed designer said to me "I skimmed it" when I asked him if he looked at the stuff I sent them. They can't even spell my name correctly (and they charged me an additional $550 in addition to the original $550 for "content writing" - really?!) They are lying to AMEX because I've started a dispute. They promise 100% Customer Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee, but are not honoring it. I have been at this since late August, and now it's December, and it has been nothing but a waste of time and money and no product to speak of. And to Mary's point, how can you speak with a heavy Indian accent and have names like: "John Smith"; "Samuel Martin"; Alex Ross"?? I have a number of lovely friends from India and their names are "Priya"; "Arjun"; etc. How I fell into this trap, I will never know. I'm so upset with myself for my own stupidity. There is something very funky going on with this company, and they need to be investigated!!! Stay away!

All you get is a WP skin

I paid $599CAD to redo some css work on my original already published website. I am a C++ programmer and the css and html layout was not looking professional at all.
On the evaluation chat I was assured that is a job for 2 weeks and it would look professional. My web back-end is all php and json in json out, and all I would need was a good looking front end. It was stated that I would hook the back end once the pages and navigation would be done. After many back and forwards designs that came as jpeg's we agreed on a pretty nice look, no comments. After a month an a half I was presented to download the web, and my surprise was that all I got was a word-press customized skin. I fired back and I was silenced that in the presented SOW there was a statement that the design would target a major CMS framework. Long story short, noting from initial promises that my web would be tailored was done. All they did was designing a word-press skin and they trow it to me.
I ended up using some images which I was assured they wont have copyright issues.
The word-press was shipped with all the database links and css hard-coded links pointing to their test servers. I had to go and tweak all the wp database and css's. I wont recommend these guys.
Don't forget, they would give you a word-press skin for 599$.

***AVOID THEM LIKE THEM PLAGUE**** This…

***AVOID THEM LIKE THEM PLAGUE AND REACH OUT TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, BBB, AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS!**** This place is most definitely a SCAM! Their reviews are absolutely FAKE as well. They upsell you on everything from the moment you happen upon their site. Hard sell on everything and they pressure you to the point where you want to block them. I asked for an invoice with everything that is included and it took them a month to give it to me after MUTIPLE REQUESTS. You have to keep repeating yourself when emailing them what you want on your site because they do not read or comprehend anything you tell them in emails. When you ask for a refund it falls upon deaf ears! When you talk with one of their "account managers" their English is atrocious and when you email them, it is like you are talking to multiple people with fake names. I dealt with an account manager named "Alex" and another sales agent named "David McMillian." They have very, very, heavy Indian accents so I have a very difficult time believing either of them were actually born with those names. It takes them forever to do anything and what they say they are going to do is only half explained. Multiple times they tried to scam me out of more money for my site when these items should come with the package they offer. From an $299 for an SSL certificate, to SEO, and other things and their prices are outrageous! The simple website I wanted from them could have been completed within a week if I had of did it myself on Wix! Their design team is pathetic so don't bother getting any logos from them or anything else. It is like they are sourcing out their work on Fiverr or Upwork and using the lowest of the low novice designers. I started a project with them in June 2021 and to date (it is now Nov 2021) still barely any progress! Avoid them like the plague!! The customer service is non-existent and they will treat you like you scammed them, when you tell them that they are doing things incorrectly, if you get an answer at all. Why didn't I see the reviews on this place before spending my hard earned money?! I thought this place was an honest professional website design company but boy was I wrong. They then tried to tell me after I disputed charges on my card that they were going to hire a lawyer and take me to court because I was scamming them!!! These clowns haven't even finished my site, wasted my valuable time, and money and say that I am scamming them??!! THEY ARE CRAZY!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

This agency is for sure just a scam. AVOID!

This agency is for sure just a scam. AVOID! They upsell you when the website is not even done. They never get in touch with you on a timely manner. After three months they've made zero progress on revision. And they just keep wasting your time by calling you, waiting for you to give up on them. I can tell that's their strategy. I guess those communicators are the only investment they put into this business and no real work is ever done. Wish I has read the reviews here before I signed up the contract. It's a shame this agency exists and Google is ranking them on Page 1.

SCAM! STAY AWAY!

I wish I had carefully read the reviews before buying their service. They will try to upsell for things you don't need and NOT deliver what they promise. Here's what happened with my purchase:
1. Sales called Lucas Scott offered me a simple web design package including hosting. $500 for a 6-page web design. $240 for hosting.

2. Submitted an extremely detailed briefing form on top of what was told to the sales.

3. Assigned an account manager called David Meyers who didn't have any idea about the scope or goal. He blamed me for not telling him what to do, despite that I have talked to the sales, provided a detailed briefing, and went through everything with him over the phone. I now think he's just legit stupid. When asked why didn't communicate with his sales, the guy pulled this out of his ass: "The sales deals with over 2000 clients per month so he doesn't have the time." Do the math, it's hilarious.

4. Came up with a basic "design" full of bugs with content copied from my older website with minor changes (i.e. new images, button style, etc.), a minor facelift to say the most. Nothing close to a "beautiful new design".

5. Fixed some of the bugs and started inner page "design".

6. Return with no layout design, only pages with old site content copied over as pure text.

7. I asked to revise and they started to drag.

8. Along the way, I have repeatedly asked David how the eCommerce capability will be realized. Kept getting deflected.

9. Did my own research and offered them a final chance: I will tell them what to do, only need them to follow instructions (get WooCommerce plugin, simple setup, and link to the new site).

10. No response since last Thursday.

I made my payment on 9/20/2021, and they are apparently trying to drag it over the 60-day dispute period so the payment is final. Just called the bank and confirmed a chargeback.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE.

Go to upwork.com, you get better service and cheaper prices.

This is a BIG BIG BIG SCAM

This is a BIG BIG BIG SCAM
Logo Design Lane, Coders Avenue and Web Design Lane are all the same company. Please do not trust them. I happened to buy two products - Website development and Customised build CRM from web design lane last year December. It's been 10months that my website and CRM wasn't completed as well as the account manager Justin had disappeared for a month. It was last Friday that I get a call from Jack who said that their company- coders avenue had acquired Web Design Lane and they had no idea all of this was happening. I requested him to not continue with the service with them and asked him for 100% refund according to the contract that I agreed back last December 2020. Also I emailed all the documents of the contract to Coders Avenue. I haven't heard from him after that. Today I get a call from Phil, from Logo Design Lane who said that he will give me the refund and it was a big lie. This is a scam

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY NO…

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT THEY TRY TO SELL YOU! Price point was what caught my eye to do business originally, so I ignored reviews and boy am I wishing I had listened. Terrible customer service, terrible communication (my project manager knew me for 8 weeks and NOT ONCE called me by my name - beyond unprofessional), never designed the website but simply copy and pasted material from our old website (seriously, I think a middle school child could have done the work their team did). We still offered to pay for the small amount of work for their troubles to be fair, but no... they wouldn't even honor that and said they were keeping it all. The fact they cannot even refund at least half for their lack of work is pathetic. If you don't do your job and steal from clients, a bad reputation is what you get.

Do not use these people!

Do not use these people! They give you some phony website to make you believe they are building something but never deliver. It has been over a month with communication once a week saying the website will be done the next day. Im sure there will be no refund either. Most of the reviews on here are fake. Of course they flag it. Just go in there and chat with someone, they all use generic names. Thats how you know they are hiding something or are a scam. Again no refund, they dont respond to anything.

Update on my last review. Becareful this company is a scam!

It has been over two weeks and I still haven't received my refund from this company.

They continue to give me the run around and have not provided me with written confirmation that my refund will be processed especially after verbally telling me that the refund would be processed within 5 to 10 business days.

Their Project Manager Ray Michael is extremely aggressive and unprofessional. He continues to call and text me with harassing messages with no resolution. He now says it will take 30 days. To process the refund. If you need proof of how unprofessional this company is I have all of the text messages from Ray Michael to prove it along with a voice recording that demonstrates his harassing tone. He said he will only give me my refund if delete my previous review. Everyone has freedom of speech and the purpose of these reviews is to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved as well as to help other potential customers.

I'm writing this as I would really hate for another customer to get scammed the way I did. I will be following up with the better business bureau to help me resolve this. It shouldn't take this long for them to process my refund especially since they did no work on my website.

Lastly, I would be careful when you read their reviews as they are using fake positive reviews. If it was a legit review the customer would share the url to their website to give you an idea of what kind of work they can do.

No refund, no website.

I paid for a website package back in August and until now nothing.
The project manager is very unprofessional he doesn't communicate any progress but will ask for money for additional packages.
I have asked for a refund nothing, when I access live chats no one wants to discuss the issue yet their info email keeps bouncing back all sent emails.
Surely someone ought to get the officials to look at the many complaints of this company.
Its a shame this company is using scam website packages to scam people of money.
I lost a good deal due to their incompetence.
