CoFunders is a reward crowdfunding platform based in Lisbon, working with creators and backers across Europe. People back projects they want to see exist. In return they receive whatever reward the creator has offered, which might be the product itself, an early edition, or a credit in it. Backing a project is not an investment. There is no financial return, and we say so in the product rather than in the small print. Here is how a pledge is held. It does not go to the creator when you make it. It is held by a program on a public network until the campaign reaches its funding goal. If the deadline passes and the goal was missed, every backer is refunded in full, automatically. There is no form to fill in and no support ticket to raise, because the refund is a rule inside the program rather than a decision anybody here makes. You can also take a pledge back yourself at any point before a campaign reaches its goal. Once it does, the money is released to the creator and you receive their reward instead. Backers browse a feed of live campaigns, read one in about thirty seconds, and back it with a single tap. The smallest pledge is ten dollars. Money you have added but not pledged stays yours and can be withdrawn whenever you like, with no fee to send it. Creators run a four step wizard to publish a campaign, set reward tiers, and talk to backers directly through comments and messages. Our platform fee starts at 1.5% plus 99 cents per pledge and falls to 0.5% on the top plan. When compared to other Crowdfunding platforms, our pricing model is clearly superior, with our absolute maximum fee being 1.5%.
