I paid the full amount

I paid the full amount, but after the payment it turned out that 0.000099 USDT was missing.
I tried to resolve this issue with support, but they told me that I had to wait 1–2 hours for it to be resolved.

As a result, I had to send another 0.0001 USDT and spend about 3 USDT on the transaction fee.

I do not recommend dealing with them.

Watch out for out-of-proportion-dormant-fee

I would like to share my experience regarding CoinPayments’ dormant account fee policy.

Both my account and my wife’s account were deemed “dormant” after 12 months of inactivity. As a result, a 5.5% annual inactivity fee was applied on our BTC holdings.

Concretely:
– 0.2 BTC was held per account
– 5.5% equals 0.011 BTC per year
– One fee was applied to my account
– Two fees were applied to my wife’s account

In total, approx 0.033 BTC was deducted.

The fee is clearly described in their User Agreement. However, no individualized prior warning was sent before the deductions were applied.

While CoinPayments maintains that the fee is contractually valid and commercially justified, I find a recurring 5.5% annual deduction on digital assets to be extremely high for what is described as an administrative inactivity charge.

After correspondence with their Legal Department, reimbursement was refused.

I have since withdrawn all remaining assets to self-custody.

I encourage users to carefully review the dormant account policy before leaving assets inactive on the platform.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback.

The dormant account fee you mentioned is outlined in our User Agreement and applies after 12 consecutive months of account inactivity, with the fee calculated as 5.5% of the assets held in the dormant account per year. Activity is defined as conducting a transaction such as a deposit, withdrawal, or conversion, and simply logging in does not reset the inactivity period.

While the fee structure is contractually disclosed in the agreement accepted when using the platform, we understand that policies like this can feel frustrating, especially when they impact long-held assets. Your feedback regarding the level of the fee and the lack of individualized reminders has been noted and shared internally for review.

We appreciate you highlighting this for other users and encourage anyone using the platform to review the applicable terms and maintain account activity or withdraw assets to avoid dormant account fees in the future.

If you have any remaining questions or concerns, you’re welcome to contact our support team directly so we can review your case further.

WARNING: Coinpayments is questionable company

Coinpayments is questionable company. Unfortunately I made a payment through this company as a third party payment method.
The payment I provided was sent through a wrong network by the company and the recipient is not able to access it.
I reached out to coinpayments for reversal of the transaction as the company is not able to access it.
I have had more than 15 back and forth so far with only message "our Devs are looking in to this" and has been several days with no refund/reversal of my payment.

This is the experience of many and I am one of them - is this company looking for a ClassAction ? I expect resoultion in the form of reversal of the transaction, which otherwise confirms my suspicion of the company's practice.

Update 02/22/2026
I have received a response from their support team but still no action taken after 15 back and forth

Update 02/23/2026
The company claims it will resolve the issue - but no refund of transaction or resolution is provided todate.

The transaction in question was initiated using the Base network (ETH.BASE) and sent to a standard Ethereum (ERC-20) address. Currently, CoinPayments does not support the Base network. Because blockchain transactions are irreversible and networks are not interchangeable, sending funds via an unsupported network can unfortunately result in access issues.

That said, we understand how frustrating this situation is. Although this was not caused by a system error on our side, our team has been actively exploring whether a manual recovery is technically possible. These cases require developer-level review and are not immediate, nor can recovery be guaranteed.

We want to emphasize that we are not ignoring this matter, it is under active review. Blockchain reversals are not something any provider can simply process on demand, as transactions are immutable once confirmed.

We will continue to communicate directly with you via your support ticket as soon as we have a definitive update.

dont use them at all fraud company

My experience with CoinPayments has been beyond frustrating.

I deposited my funds and followed every single instruction they gave me. KYC completed. Proof of wallet ownership provided. Source of funds documented. Every time I complied, they came back with a new excuse. It never ends.

First I was told to verify my identity to process the withdrawal. I did that. Then suddenly I’m told the account “belongs to someone else.” That was never mentioned before I deposited anything. If that was the case, why ask me for full verification and documentation in the first place?

At this point, it honestly feels like scamming tactics. Constant delays. Changing explanations. No real solution. Just policy language while my money remains locked.

When a company verifies your identity, confirms the source of funds, and still refuses to release or return the assets — what is that supposed to look like? From my perspective, it feels fraudulent and like my funds are being held hostage.

I’ve now seen other reviews describing similar situations, which makes this even more concerning. If you are considering using this platform, understand the risk: if there’s any complication, getting your money back may turn into a nightmare.

I never thought I’d use words like this, but the entire experience feels deceptive and unfair. for coinpayment, my ticket is 843352. I will not stop until i get my money back !!!!!

When there is a mismatch between the verified account holder and the person requesting access or withdrawal, we are legally required to restrict access until proper verification is completed. This is a compliance and security safeguard designed to protect account owners and prevent unauthorized access.

All funds remain secure while this matter is under review. We encourage the verified account holder to contact us directly so our compliance team can resolve this as quickly as possible.

Got up and running within a week

Got up and running within a week, sent in the application their support and compliance team helped us throughout the entire process and ensure they didn't go on assumptions and asked for clarification on anything they were unsure about. This allows us as a business to be confident in their ability to support our scale and operations going forward. If you're a business looking for a partner to handle crypto processing and off-ramp services look no further, CoinPayments has you sorted.

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback.

Some features available in V1 are still being rolled out for V2, including the mobile app. Development is actively in progress, and restoring feature parity is a top priority for our team. We appreciate your patience while this work continues.

Regarding the dashboard details and support experience, this isn’t the level of service we aim to provide. To make sure everything is properly addressed, we’ll have a member of our team reach out to you directly to walk through a V2 demo, clarify current functionality, and discuss what’s coming next.

We’re committed to improving both the platform and our communication, and we appreciate you flagging these concerns.
