Total Rip off
Total Rip off!
I've been saving my coins for over a year and cashed them in yesterday. I forgot to present the voucher at the till and when I returned this morning the voucher didn't work as it was supposed to used yesterday. I see loads of other reviews stating the same problem. SO WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO COINSTAR?? I'd like to think that the money you rip off from the public goes to charity but somehow I don' think so! ABSOLUTE THIEVES - how do you sleep at night?
Went to ASDA in Livingston tonuse…
Went to ASDA in Livingston tonuse coinstar. I had saves only £4.73 worth of 1p's and 2p's and was gobsmacked when it took 95p fee off of me. Thats close to 20%. Never use these machines. I wont ever again. Next time i have a lot of 1 and 2ps ill use them directly at the self checkout ! Robbing, stealing money grabbing a holes
BUNCH OF SCAMMERS
Do not use them they rip you off!!! Better take your coins to your bank!!!!!!!!!!
You got one star because it won’t allow…
You got one star because it won’t allow zero. I cashed in a week ago on my way out of the store. I went back today and tried to use the voucher the machine gave me, it was refused because you have to use it the same day. This is printed on the ticket in tiny print right at the bottom, and so you can’t know before commencing the procedure . As the machine in my Sainsbury’s is after the checkouts you’re going to have to drop your shopping and go around again.
I wonder what happens if you’re the last customer and the tills are closed?
I suspect this feature is carefully designed with robbery in mind.
Sainsbury’s need to have a word with them.
Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful, robbing from my kids. They have been collecting coins for some time, they manage to save 100 pound in coins so they were really excited to have 50 pounds each but unfortunately did not happen because robbing tiffin coinrubbish company took over 20% fee from my kids. They had to be prosecuted they shouldn't be allowed to charge that much. Please anyone get rid of the robbing machines
They robbed me for money
They robbed me for money. I've got ticket impossible to use.
Small letters scam
Literal robbery. Exchanged over £70 of coins, the fee was huge and when I tried to redeem at Sainsbury's they didn't take it as it had to be done on the normal till and no self checkout. Then I tried to use it the next week and they have just kept my money as the voucher can only be used same day. Very scammy as os all in the small letter. Should be illegal
A total rip off!
Absolute Thieves
As other people say, the machine thieves cash from you. For clarity I don't mean the approx. 11% charges which I accept as part of the terms and conditions, I mean firstly that the machine cannot actually count your coins correctly. Secondly, when you notice that it's wrong, it's not possible to have the coins returned and decline the transaction. Thirdly, there is no way to contest the count as there is not a shred of evidence available to back up any claim that it has robbed you. I will not be using them again and strongly advise others to do the same.
They just rip off customers
They just rip off customers, thousands of dollars lost. Fortunately, I got information that I could get a refund through the company name in my profile and I got a refund.
Absolutely rip off!!!
Absolutely rip off!!!
Not registering the money as I'm putting it in!!!!.
Charged £6 from £55 that I put in ,then receipt was not recognised as I went to cash in.
It worked eventually, don't know what I would have done if it didn't.
I will never use this extaution charging service again...
Go to the bank or post office.
They are withholding my money
They are withholding my money, saying that I need to verify my account which I did when first set it up, because of them I will be late in rent and bills. They only assist through tickets and dont respond. I got an information that I can get my refund through the company name on my profile and I got my refund...
Coin change machine in supermarket
My husband went to local supermarket today and put in about £300 and was charged £35! There is no mention of any charges on the machine. What a con!
Phoned them and they said to check the terms & conditions. My husband does not have access to the internet and there is nothing on the machine re T & C'S. Even the staff in the supermarket were not aware of any charges!
He phoned them and was told there was no way of refunding him. Next step is Trading Standards.
Coinstar machine totally fraud
Coinstar machine totally fraud. They steeling money from people. guys don’t use this machine. I insert 948£ coins into machine it gave me back 648£ and charge 86£ fee. I lost more than 200£. Machine running perfectly nothing wrong with machine then where are money more than 200£ gone. I'd say minus 1 star!
Emptied over £20 into machine,it printed a ticket for £11.08 and the money was still dropping in to machine after it gave me the final amount!
It's supposed to be 11% deduction there end but it took over 40%!
Total scam!!
Never again
Never again, bag it and take to bank.really disgusted with how much they charge 😒.
Blatant theft
You have to redeem the voucher same day but no one tells you that. It's not clear on any way whatsoever.
So there was a huge queue as per usual.
Waited to cash another day. Can't cash voucher. Only same day. Again no where does it say this.
So basically they just stole 20 quid
It's downright fraud and theft
Make the change at a proper bank.
No explanation as to where or when use your receipt. Lost all my change as a result.
robbery
I went to coin in coins I had saved and they charged me £22 for transaction. I mean I understand there is costs running the machines but shouldn’t there be a sign up to inform people? I know there are terms and conditions but I stupidly coined in before pressing in cash out and when I put the money in the terms and conditions didn’t pop up in an open view and I did not see the 11%. I felt so robbed and so upset. If it was £5 ok but £22!!!! I could have just went to my bank. I am so so upset. Also the voucher is only valid for that day? This is robbery and so unfair. It should be a fixed amount charged not different amounts.
Please do not use this company
Please do not use this company
I took some coins to my local Sainsbury’s the machine broke with £56 of coins they finally open the machine after 20 mins to get my voucher as I was now running late I thought are pop in tomorrow then when I got to customer services they inform me it can’t be exchanged the next day only the day you get the voucher it does say you should redeem on the day but doesn’t say you must Sainsbury’s just say you must contact coinstar good luck with that there customer service number doesn’t even work they are basically stealing your money
