I would not recommend this place at all, we booked ty nofio, I’ll try and start from the beginning we pulled up between 3-3.30 as soon as we got there they were using a digger right outside the window we where shown in by the owner and was told the lock on the door don’t work so can’t lock the doors which is not right, even when told no one would come in it’s piece of mind when all your property is there and not feel safe sleeping not being able to lock the doors, we then was shown how to work the pool but it had to be reset so she done that was told we couldn’t control the heat and tbh in the heat we wanted to have it cool or colder not hot we where going to use it straight away but they where doing work right outside the glass window and we could only pull the blinds down half way so had no privacy atall and you expect that as a couple on what was supposed to be a romantic break and there was a few people outside talking I get that it’s a working farm but you still expect to be able to have privacy. So we gave that a miss so as advertised there was makings for teas and coffee so got the cups out and went to make us a cuppa and the sachets where out of date so thought I’ll have a coffee but that was even worse you couldn’t use it was all hard and stuck together so couldn’t do that so decided to go and sit out the front while walking out stood in dog poo we literally had to dodge poo everywhere, anyway went to sit on a chair and the arm of the chair was missing and felt unsafe, so we decided to go into town as was running out of things to do so we went out for a few hours on returning as soon we walked through the door the heat just hit you to the point where I felt like I couldn’t breathe from where we where not allowed to turn the hot tub off or down so we went up to sort the bed out as i shut the curtains I realised on the carpet was full of dead flies and so we had to keep shoes on there was dead flies, dead moffs, spiders you can tell without a doubt that carpet has not been hoovered in a long time in fact the cobwebs in the place where discusting, even a working farm you expect it to be clean of dead bugs and insects and cobwebs, it was so warm upstairs from the hot tub the first night we literally had a few hours sleep and was nervous as we couldn’t lock the door we decided to use the pool but the water was really warm so stayed in for around 15 mins and decided to have a shower so got in and the shower was only running boiling water and could not get it to work and after the negative stuff so far I just gave up and went up to bed but was so hot I felt like I couldn’t breathe so sat outside intill around 4-5 in the morning around that time I knew I had to try and get sleep, we where then woken at 7 with the farmers with diggers so we got up and left we had a lovely time shopping went for food and was great we went back to the cottage as soon as walked in the heat hit us straight away again I get the time we went away the weather was hot but what made it 1000 times worse was not not being able to turn the hot tub off or even down was awful i thought we would give the pool another try as payed all this money and at this point was bored of what to do was annoyed and stressed out on what was supposed to be a nice, quiet romantic break and knew I had to have a cold shower so messaged the owner to tell her about the shower and she messaged how to do it as the button wasn’t pushing in properly but we managed to get it done, but i don’t know why I bothered as soon as I got out went upstairs I was literally dripping in sweat straight away, and felt dirty and muggy it was so warm we couldn’t stay in doors so again we had to go and sit outside, we where then approached by the farmer who asked us if he could start cementing and working at 5 in the morning which we told him, can he start later which we said around 7-8 is ok, as we didn’t have no sleep the night before we where exhausted and both very stressed out, me and my partner saved up for this break and all we wanted was a quiet relaxing break to spend some nice quality time together and it was far from that, so we decided to try and make the most of it cause of how much it cost us so decided to do a fire in the fire pit so we done that and then went back into the cottage as soon as we walked back in again i instantly felt sick and headache because of the unbearable heat and at that point we had enough and decided to pack up and leave early, and that’s what we done we left there at 12.30 as literally could not take it anymore, in all honesty i wish i never went, what a waste of £310 which was supposed to be for 2 nights which we had no choice to leave early as it was literally the worse break we have ever had, it was more stressful there then our busy life at home, please please don’t bother going here this is our honest opinion our honest experience.
