The dumbest game in the whole world

The dumbest game in the whole world. The dice algorithm is so unbalanced and I can't believe the developers has made it in such way. I play 10 games in which I am in winning condition and the dumb algorithm makes me lose everytime. The game's UI is 1/10 as well. I advice everyone not to play this game. The creators of this games are the ****** people in the world.

Rogue Bots

The interface is great but here's the issue with playing this game online - when playing against humans, expect to move in 10 secs or be ready to be trolled. When playing against bots expect skewed dice rolls and rogue bot plays. I had a pretty great win rate 80%+ but of late the bot games are a joke. There were 2 games where one of the bots won with just 2 cities and 1 settlement - stolen road and stolen army in the last 2 moves. This is virtually IMPOSSIBLE in a real time setting and only possible mathematically. In another game I had all bots target me i:) Agreed, i had the upper hand but the game play was non-sensical - I had all cards taken away by knights or at random and when it was my turn - you guessed it 7s. As pointed out below you can guess the 7 tolls 90% of the time - either you have amassed more cards but bots have 4/5 cards (does not happen when bots have 7+ cards) or when you're just about to build something and 100% when you're just about to win.

Dodgy algorihms

I have played this game far too many times. It seems virtually impossible to beat players from US or Israel. I have lost too many times with far better starting postions. There is something very fishy about their algorithms....

Dice are far from random

Dice are far from random. For starters they make it nearly impossible for human to get brick. You're about to buy a city? 90% chance you'll roll a 7. You'll NEVER get a brick when you rob a bot. After a few games you can easily predict when it will roll a 7. Getting ahead? Here comes 7 after 7 after 7 until everyone catches up. I was aborting my games due to dice cheating than I was playing. I documented over 30 cheating chunks of code in the game. Their response? Banned me. No ethics with this questionable mob.

Terrible App

I’m going to keep posting bad reviews for this app and the developers until they stop targeting me. Worst game ever in terms of the dice rolls, letting people win who have no business winning and basically favouring one player over another

Rigged system

I recently got into Catan and found the game very interesting. So I made an online account on colonist. Honestly a big mistake. I played for hours, learning the game fully and creating a strategy. If only I'd known it would be pointless. The dice rolls are rigged. Literally, I'm not even saying that because I lose. I see other constantly flooding in resources while I barely get any. No matter what number I pick and if I do get resources. A 7 lands and I have to discard. I have never played a game where the dice are so heavily against me. The game wants to you to lose so you keep playing. Don't waste your time like I did.

the random dice algorithm is genuinely…

the random dice algorithm is genuinely insane and makes the entire catan strategy of placing based on pips useless. I'll have critical early game development periods where a 3 out rolls a 6 by a large margin and at that point the other player is too ahead in production. The dice variance is generally just terrible for something that's a knock off of the actual franchise.

Completely tilted 1v1 games

Completely tilted games. If you are winning too many 1v1 games in a row you'll lose as many in a row as you just won no matter how good your placements are and the games won't even be close. Take away the favoring dice and it would be a great game.

This game is clearly rigged

This game is clearly rigged.

The pattern of 7 is clearly not random. It is rigged in specific way, that i can almost predict when 7 is about to fall. This is not only from me, but lot of people said this.

I give it one star because I can play…

I give it one star because I can play it with friends and it's fun. However, if I tried to play online with other players or in a ranking, I would take that one star away. What the game sometimes shows with the dice is complete nonsense. The opponent rolls a 7, puts a robber on my 4, and then immediately rolls a 4 twice in a row. And I could find many more nonsensical examples in the game. Some players rolled 7 7 times in a game, and I only rolled a 7 once in that game. And as I read somewhere, the creators of this game absolutely do not tolerate criticism and opinions that criticize something about the game. I conclude that Colonist is far from an online replacement for Catan. It is just a poor imitation of Catan

2 star for allowing game play

2 star for allowing game play, especially with friends but making it obviously skewed and frustrating with the dice rolls in the online play with others
They explain their dice rolling algorithm in some blog post in hopes of sounding fair, but the charts and numbers are just nonsense and you can quite obviously understand after a while that the rolls favor or unfavor you depending on how much you have won or lost. I have had games where the person who has not a single settlement on an 8 or 6 has won in a 2 player game with a HEAVY margin. Even have screenshots for that. Just because I won a few games before and it was now this other player's turn to win.
