Companion Watch Reviews 

After extensive research of available options, I have settled with a Sand Gold Companion Watch which, amongst other things, includes a fall detector alarm.

One of the deciding factors for this is the fact that I am able to set up the necessary emergency contacts drawing from my own family and friends, as opposed to the more usual practice of a support team based 'somewhere else', with nobody that I am familiar with. I find this particularly reassuring.

A dedicated Companion advisor is provided, and Mark has been consistently supportive, without any pressure to buy, and it is reassuring to know that he is always available going forward. Responses to my questions and comments have been swift, and clear in their content; nothing seems to be too much trouble.

My initial concerns about wearing a fall alarm soon dissipated, and I am delighted with my watch which, whilst larger than a standard size timepiece, is surprisingly light in weight (to the point of not realising I am wearing it) as well as looking good!

I have found this company extremely helpful pre- and post-sale, in relation to both the high standard of customer service and the product itself. I would highly recommend them.

I ordered a new watch for my Mum who is almost 91 and becoming unsteady on her feet. As she lives alone I wanted peace of mind in knowing that should she fall, I would be notified.
The watch arrived promptly.
Unfortunately my Mum could not adjust to wearing it as she had an experience when the watch reacted to a sudden movement from her. It did its job in notifying us but she then panicked that every sudden movement would result in a telephone call. We tried to reassure her that this was not the case but unfortunately she then refused to wear it.
Mark very kindly sent details of how to return it to Companion and a full refund was issued immediately after they received it back

I purchased a Companion Watch for my Brother-in-Law who sadly is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. My Brother-in-Law had wondered from home on several occasions over the past year when my Sister-in-Law had briefly popped out to the shops or to run other errands. We wanted a product which would allow her to do this safe in the knowledge that she could leave him for short periods and that if my Brother-in-Law was to take himself off for a wander, my Sister-in-Law would be immediately alerted and could track him and go and find him.

The Companion Watch is stylish and light to wear and has a docking station that doubles as a charger and a home beacon. It is also possible to purchase a locking watch strap from Companion so that the wearer cannot remove it. Using the Companion App, responsible persons can be set up and if the wearer leaves the range of the beacon or goes outside a preset safe zone, it immediately alerts the responsible person with a phone call and allows them to then track the watch wearer by means of the watches built in GPS so they can see exactly where the wearer is. My brother in law usually returned home by himself but on one occasion my brother in law wondered off for over 2 hours, didn't return home and my sister in law had to call the police. He was eventually found 8 miles away! If he had been wearing the Companion Watch at that stage, my sister in law would have been immediately alerted and by using the Companion App could have seen where he was and gone and picked him up.

The watch performed this function extremely well. The support you get from Companion is excellent. Mark Thomas at Companion patiently explained the functions of the watch to me and set up the safe zone. He answered all my phone calls and emails and was pleasant and understanding to deal with.

We bought a Companion Watch for my mum after scouring the internet for stroke alarm options that she would use and feel comfortable wearing. The watch is fashionable and discreet and provides a host of useful functions. It's simple to set up, monitor and the customer service has been excellent. Would highly recommend!

A nice looking watch which works very efficiently. Great support by the team to enable the set up. The app works well and the watch battery life is excellent.
The fact you can choose your own watch design, meant my Dad was able to feel part of the decision rather than having to wear something that he didn't like the look or feel of.

So pleased we found Companion Watch. We've been thinking about something like this for a while for mum who is in her 90s and still living independently. Knowing she was not keen on an 'elderly alarm' button or pendant we purchased this as it looks like a nice watch. The 30 day trial period really convinced us as we knew if she didn't like it we could return. By day 2 mum was proudly showing her new watch to everyone who visited! Mark was incredibly helpful with setting up the watch, sending extra sizes of strap so we could get the correct fit and getting the watch dispatched very promptly. The follow-up Zoom call was also really useful and it is reassuring that Mark is there if we have any questions in future. The whole process has been so easy and stress-free which makes a refreshing change when there often seem to be many barriers to navigate when caring for an older person.

Companion Watch is fantastic.
My Father loves wearing it. No one would know it's an alert device. It is easy to use and easy to setup. It offers peace of mind for everyone. My Dad knows by pushing the SOS button, help is just minutes away. My Dad lives on his own and my brothers & I have been very concerned about him falling with no one knowing. The watch is also a mobile phone, so we can call him to make sure he is OK. Mark from Companion Watch has been really helpful from purchase through to setting up and how-to videos. I have been recommending the watch to everyone!!

Switched from a pendant alarm to a companion watch which apart from giving more flexability with contacts allows you to view your heart health record on a daily basis via the accompanying app.
Should you accidently trigger the alarm you can quickly cancel by pressing the bezzel button on the watch rim.

The watch is great - mum loves wearing it. The functions are useful; configurable alerts with a good app to support. The customer service is first class - Mark has been great, setting up training sessions, and responding to questions and queries.

We’ve had an excellent experience so far with Companion Technology. After purchase, we had 1 on 1 training via Zoom to get to grips with the features of the watch.

The software and website that back it up is a little complex, but clearly being worked on and improved on a regular basis.

Highly recommended to anyone who has a person the need to monitor for falls or who may get lost outside.

Dad has got a watch and only had a few weeks but already given us full peace of mind for falls etc. The custom service is brilliant. Just had our zoom lesson ,really helpfull and answered all our quesions. This is going to make a huge difference for all the family. Thank you so much.

It is a comfort to know that if anything happened friends and family will be alerted. It is an added bonus that people can be contacted even when I am out and about, not just in the home.

I bought a companion watch for my aunt who has dementia and goes walking, but sometimes manages to leave without telling anyone. It’s reassuring to know that if she does get too confused to find her way back the watch will enable her to be found quickly. She’s a very active women, but I can see, if she does develop balance issues the falls alert will be really helpful. She’s happy to wear it and likes the fact that it’s big, but she’d like to numbers to be much bigger as her eye sight isn’t brilliant any longer. I was looking for something that my aunt would happily wear and could detect where she was for her safety and this watch filled both those criteria, so I’d highly recommend, it’s given me peace of mind.

I have been wearing my companion watch for several months now. The watch gives me peace of mind regarding my heart rate and the ability to monitor it after medication changes. It is comfortable to wear and is easy to read. I also find the portal really helpful.

Mum wears her companion watch day and night. She can show her GP heart rate activity from before, during and after a health condition episode. Sharing her health metrics data means the GP can see the impact of medication changes.

I'm comforted by the fact that my family are alerted whenever my granddad falls. He can also raise an alarm if necessary, by pressing the SOS button on the watch. I would very much recommend this device to others, as it has definitely allowed the family to intervene rather than Granddad using 111 and 999.

Mum lives alone and is still really active. Her companion watch provides both of us with the reassurance that if something goes wrong she can press the SOS button on the side of the watch to alert me and we can have a conversation via the watch if needed.
Also like the capability where it alerts me she has left her property.
