Terrible service. Purchased 19 miners 4th quarter of 2021. Only 10 miners are up and hashing regularly since june of 2022. 3 miners are always down or dead. The remaining 6 miners have passed their online date for the last 6 months and were never connected at any site = no hashing. This is astounding failure on their part at the very least. Multiple attempts to contact Compass support got us nowhere. I wouldn't recommend doing any business with this company until they change.
Will definitely do an update to this review once all of my miners are found and hashing.

I purchased a 6 pack of Ant miners from Compass over a year ago. They missed all delivery promises. I only have 4 online / offline / online a year later. Still have not provided me with the 6th miner. Miner uptime is bad at best. Customer service is a black hole e-mail with auto-responses.
Others have said they must be using the missing miners to fill their own pockets. Zero accounting of processor usage and uptime directly off the system. No remote view only access to the mining nodes. Term oil with past CEO exit leaves a lot of questions unanswered. The above speculative comment is a repost from others.
Overall a bad customer service journey.

Have had a good experience with Compass even though there has been an unbelievable amount of volatility in the market over the last year. They've continued to be responsive which is much appreciated as I've continued to add miners.

Machines purchased 16 months ago still not online. Non-responsive support when problems arise. No direct communications are available other than sales.
Month after month of submitting support tickets with no action taken by Compass. Now, YOU are asking for me to reach out to YOU to discuss what the issues are?
I hope anyone reading this review can get a clear understanding of what the problems with Compass are. It seems clear that YOU don't know what is going on with your company!

I can't say compass mining doesn't have its issues like any other company; however, when I do address any concerns or hiccups they resolve the issues in a reasonable and timely manner. Jesus has been great in resolving my issues whenever anything pops up. At the end of the day, persistence and patience is key to get your needs resolved.

A few days prior to the loss of the 10 miners in Russia, the miners were still claiming to have preparations in place in the event of an emergency and refusing to let miners leave the country, despite the fact that they obviously had none. They lack the necessary tools for the service they provide. Despite the fact that they charge for everything, they accept no responsibility for anything. Well, I kept on withHickmire!!! and produced numerous pieces despite being unsuccessful at them. Take note
Delay after delay. My miner is months passed the communicated online date and has still never gone online.
Very bad communication from Compass.
There's been some difficulties and delays, but now my miner is up and running. I'm glad that Compass Mining has been willing to work with me to resolve recent problems. I believe there's some room for improvement and growth in this company.

My Miner has been offline for several months. I still get charge electrical fees as if its running. Absolute scam. Avoid.

Very good, useful service with very good support/supervision. As the mining market is currently turbulent and the demand for hosting space is high, a lot of patience is needed. And you have to be aware of the risk!
So far Compass has come through these stormy times well, respect. Keep it up!

Been mining with Compass for over a year now. Like everything else in crypto this past year, it has been a rocky experience to say the least. I will say that the people at compass have really gone out of their way to try and make the experience as fluid as possible. They continue to make the user interface better and better and you can now see exactly where each miner is located along with the miner’s information. They have been very informative and have kept me up to date even as several of the mining facilities have gone out of business. They have covered the expenses of moving miners to new locations. I hope they continue to grow as a company because you can tell that they actually care about what they are doing.

Help from Erick Smith. Took 3 days - but they are busy there. At least they respond accurately, and they usually are helpful and informative. Also the hashing power has recently been 102-103% which is darned good.

Delay delay delay for months and years. Who audit their business? Is it another FTX scam!

Compass Mining never fulfilled its end of the bargain. I bought 12 mining rigs over a year ago and some are still not online. In addition, they've unilaterally increased my hosting fees despite being mid-contract. If anyone knows of a lawyer group bringing a class action, I'd gladly join.

Originally purchased 21 BTC miners July and August 2021. Late getting online. Have in general been online for a year. Had to constantly badger them about 3-4 miners at a time underperforming or offline. Now out of 21 miners I have 11 working and 9 offline. Normal failure rate on miners is about 5% with life expectancy of 3-4 years. This is a 50 % death rate in 1 year. My sister has 100 miners. 4% failure rate. Same type, but were at different facilities. Now I have to pay for multiple hashboard repairs. Won't make up difference in cost for 6 months if I do that. I think facility they were located at had bad heat, environment of electrical fluctuation.
Miners at other facility did not have that problem.
Had 10 Z15 miners took 3 months longer to go online. Then the facility dispute were taken offline and 3 more months to go back online. Missing 1 of them as well. Customer support is terrible. Despite multiple tickets very few responses. Can't get anyone on the phone.

I would recommend to stay away. The hosting order section was removed from the dashboard. So it is impossible to see what reference number belongs to each order. I keep emailing support and not getting responses. The hosting rates are going up. Many miners still offline. Many facilities getting closed. Orders which were supposed to be live in June are still not live.
The miners are definitely overpriced but it’s worth it to know that I’m buying from a reputable company and won’t get burned. Erick Smith was very helpful in answering my questions. The guys deserves a raise with that kind of customer service.

Compass has been an ongoing pain in my life for over a year now.
First, months of delays beyond what was promised in getting miners received and online, resulting in lost income; then a facility that went offline for nearly a month; followed by a different facility having issues with its site, requiring a move; followed by a different facility deciding to no longer provide hosting for Compass customers, requiring another move, with a month of lost time.
With significant complaining and a lot of documentation, credits for hosting can get issued, but that doesn't make up for time lost hashing!
Billing isn't transparent - it took nearly four months to confirm one hosting credit - each time i enquired I was told, "I have escalated your ticket to the proper Finance team member, and we will fully review your issue as soon as possible."
Communication is slipshod at best and at worst the company actively gaslights its customers (e.g., changing outage histories on the company's site status pages).
I host most of my miners with a different company and the experience is 10X better than with Compass. I was testing Compass' hosting to see if I should move to them, and *very* happy I didn't commit more. DYOR!
Mining is challenging at best; Compass is far from best.

So far it's been a trust worthy company, which given the current conditions of the market it's a big compliment. Most employees will make a good effort to solve your problem, while few others might not put as much effort. The company is currently making some changes that will hopefully make the overall experience better, but still has some key things that could improve, for example customer service when related to billing and credits.

Mail from Compass says my miner is safe in Russia..
Should anything happen they will relocate so no worries!
A week later I didn't have a miner in Russia.
