Go with someone else

Install of new furnace and heat pump in late October of 2025 took two days. No heat at all on the first day, was told the second day that the heat did work and I spent the night cold with a space heater for no reason. I let it go; everyone makes mistakes.
Was told on day two that the wiring was a "temporary fix" and that customer service would call me to schedule the fix.
When Customer service called it was to ask for feedback. I asked about the wiring they said someone would call me back. That was November. They called in December and the same thing someone would call back. January the same thing. February the same thing. I sent an email complaining about their this to them in March.
I also added that I still hadn't gotten my Duke Energy credit or the code to get my tax credit. After a few days of still not hearing back I called the service tech who had left me his card. He said he'd call me back later that day.
He didn't but I did hear from customer service to schedule the wiring after 4 months of waiting.
When that tech arrived, he had no idea why he was there so I had to explain for the fourth time what the "issue" was. He left the hole in my wall created by the other teams. And now no one is calling back again. I spent 13 grand and they don't call back and leave holes in the walls.

Not a good experience at all

I contacted Complete Comfort when our heat pump did not supply cold air for us back in April. I had poor service from the original istallation company and did not want to use them....and since Complete Comfort had good reviews, I called them. They promptly sent a tech out to check it out for us. He told me I needed an EEV board and that it would be $800. He also strongly advised that I should consider replacing the unit since it was getting old. I decided to move forward with the repair. The part was ordered and a different tech came out to install the board and that did not work. He informed me that I also needed a sensor. He also advised that I consider replacing the unit and offered to have someone out to give me a quote...which they did. Mind you, when I bought the unit I have, it was a "top of the line" Trane heat pump. It is really an over engineered piece of junk that has been nothing but problems. I got a quote (sky high) on a new Trane heat pump and decided to get a second opinion. Another independent company came out and noticed the manufacture date on the unit and informed me that it was still under Trane's warranty and that I should stick with Complete Comfort for repair. So....I called Complete Comfort back and let them know. They verified that it was still under warranty....for 4 more days....and agreed to get the parts and I would only have to pay for labor. Parts came in and original tech came out to install. Installed parts and it still didn't work. I was told they got the wrong part. New part was ordered...and it was more expensive for the labor of course. Lucky for me they were able to get the part same day and send someone back out. This new tech came out, messed around a bit and then let me know that it doesn't need any parts at all. It actually had a refrigerant leak somewhere. That leak would have to be tracked down, repaired and then refrigerant added to the system. Price....at least $2000. Told me Trane wouldn't cover any of it. At that point I politely asked him to reassemble the pile of scrap metal and I called Trane asking for support in the form of a different company to come out and honor my warranty since I tried to initiate the repair while it was still covered. Hear nothing back from Trane besides an automated email letting me know they were trying to contact a dealer. A week goes by. I call Trane for an update. They leave a message for the person handling me to give me a call back. A couple more days go by....no call. I call again and have a 45 minute conversation with someone in the call center only to find out that the person handling my claim is out of the office for another week and no one else is able to connect me with another authorized dealer. Really? What a scam. So....since the temperature is already getting close to 90 degrees, I decide to move on to Summer's in Brownsburg...the folks who were honest and came out for my second opinion and didn't charge me a dime for their time. Complete Comfort technicians don't seem to be much more than part swappers from what I can tell. At least two of them don't know how to properly diagnose an issue and I'm not sure about the third since I finally gave up. They were much more interested in getting $17000 out of me for a new heat pump than trying to fix the one I have and buy me another year or two with it until the compressor warranty expires. I realize people get busy and I was very patient with the lack of call backs and the continuous reschedules. But, the level of true customer care made me feel like they really didn't want me as a long term customer. I felt like they wanted the big sale on the new unit and strung me along until I caved. Summer's will be getting that big sale though. They were responsive and honest. When they quoted me on a new system they gave me honest options and didn't bad mouth the units that were not "top of the line" in their offerings. I'll be going with Summer's and recommend you do the same. If you are in Indianapolis, they service your area.
