I recently purchased a used car from…

I recently purchased a used car from Completly Motoring, near Cheltenham.
I wanted to say what a pleasure it was dealing with George Ayland and his team.

He insisted that the car went out with a fresh MOT and a full service, and also went above the requirement by adding new breaks tyres and a whole host of extra components.

They also offered a fair deal on my part exchange.

If you're looking for a polite and professional garage with reasonable priced cars, then this garage is well worth a look.

Great Experience from the team at Completely Motoring Staverton. Have had a number of vehicles of these guys and nothing has ever been too much trouble. Highly recommend!

Good job I don’t have to pay train travel….…

Went to this car site yesterday travelling from Kent by train so quire a trip.was assured by the manager Steve I won’t be disappointed by what I see, well this was the worst example I’ve seen while looking for a scirocco.why do salesman always say ..well it’s a 7 year old car , I own 2 mercy’s 24 & 32 years old and both are fine examples and a GTC which is the same age as the sicrocco perhaps I’m the only person that gives a proper description. Also when you get to view the car it’s always the same this will be done and that will it will be like new, well if you paid and when you pick it up are disappointed what do you do, I know I should have read the reviews about this place beware AVOD THIS PLACE.

Wouldn’t waste your money here!!

Disappointing. Bought a car from them a few weeks ago, only to receive it 1 week ago ( was getting work done to it due to engine light ) lack of communication throughout the whole sale ( had to constantly ask for updates / pick up date ) only reason I didn’t pull out of sale was because they gave me a good price for my Audi. Received the car and still a couple problems, idles low / cuts out. Texted George to see if could sort the problem, shock, no reply. Other people have other opinions but I got unlucky. Soon as they have gotten your money from you, they don't want to know you! Was going to sell my dad’s car to them but we have both decided to stay away.

Sales team are great, after sales is horrendous! Steer clear!

I bought a 2013 Ford kuga back in July 23. Sales team were great, very friendly.
I contacted after sales to book the car in under its warranty as the hand break was loose (car rolled off the drive), the front parking sensors weren't working correctly and there was a vibration in the accelerator pedal.
My suspicion should have flared up when I dropped the car off, without knowing what the problem with the sensors or vibration was, the chap on the desk was adamant all of the work would be finished that day.
I came back to collect the car the next day. They said the hand break had been tightened, I would have to bring the car back for the sensors to be changed and the vibration wasn't strong enough to be able to diagnose the problem (but they agreed there was a vibration), could I bring it back as and when it gets worse. I agreed providing it would still be covered under the warranty, the chap on the desk said yes, of course we will still honour the warranty. When I asked for this in writing, he seemed less keen and fobbed me off with saying it will be in the report once it's written up. He emailed me the next day to confirm what they had done (or not done is probably more accurate) and to confirm when the sensors would be changed. I asked again for confirmation that all of the work would be covered by the warranty (including the vibration), he replied saying he would check and let me know.
I took the car back to have the sensors changed, one of the mechanics took the opportunity to drive the car with me to identify the vibration issue. He agreed there was a vibration and also a knocking noise, he thought he knew what the problem was.
Later that day I recieved a phone call to say there was nothing wrong with the sensors (the chap on the desk checked them apparantly, I could be wrong but I'd guess he's not a mechanic or vehicle electrician), they were just dirty. I asked about the vibration and knocking noise and again, I was told its too faint to diagnose. When I collected the car I again asked to confirm it will be carried out under the warranty, the chap on the desk tried phoning the manager to check but couldn't get an answer so he said he would email me.
I drove the car home, parked on my drive and the front sensors were still not working!
I waited two weeks for an email to confirm they would fix the vibration and knocking under the warranty but no email as promised. I emailed stating that the sensors were still not working correctly and I was still waiting for confirmation that the other work would be honoured under the warranty. That was on the 20th October (now 23rd Nov) and they have chosen to ignore my email.
Clearly they had no plans to fix the car even though they agreed there were issues with the vibration and front sensors, I'm cautious about the hand break as I wouldnt be surprised if it hasn't been fixed.
Tempted to contact trading standards to see what they say.
Definitely stay well away!

Completely motoring … more like…

Completely motoring … more like completely spineless ! Firstly after being a loyal customer you’d expect some sort of give and take however it’s all take with this dealership, always saying how much of a good deal they are giving you and how much they are “looking after you”
DONT BE FOOLED ! with everything in house there are obviously some dodgy shortcuts they take! Hand overs are NEVER on time and you get some absolute crap lie why they are late on handover and it can’t be picked up ! (This hasn’t just happened to me on multiple occasions, this has happened to everyone when I mention this dealerships name to anyone who has purchased off them ) I physically can not be asked to even get into the bit that nearly ruined my finances and credit score because of this company but the hell I had to go through to square things away with a finance lender because of this dealerships mistakes and hasty ness to sell me a car and take the ownership of my current vehicle away before the deal was actually done ! This is just the first layer of the onion with the cowboy business that seems to look legit but Is far far from it ! so i honestly think you’d be stupid to even walk on their forecourt, if we weren’t in the year 2023 a five letter word would just sum up these guys it starts with C and rhymes with punts !

Avoid at all costs

Would give 0 stars if it was a option!

Stay well clear of these guys they come across as a caring family buisness but this is far from the truth

Brought a x5 off them that had been sold back to them twice (did have my suspicions) but car looked OK so I brought it

From day 1 I reported a fault with the car and got no response the car then broke down with another fault (they did fix this) myself and my wife now have sciatica due to how badly worn the drivers seat is its completely not fit for purpose but these guys don't care

I've had it assessed and they have said it's faulty yet still nothing

I have a 27k car sitting on my drive gathering dust as we can't use it any more

Just be careful what your buying from these guys

Big improvement

After a terrible service on my Kia Sportage and no reply to my email I finally received some help from a new manager who resolved all the complaints in a very helpful and professional manner. I will now return with confidence.

Misleading advertisingWe were tempted to order from this…

We were tempted to order from this company by its offer of free delivery to mainland Britain. We live in Ayrshire in southern Scotland which, last time we checked was not an island, yet this company wanted to charge for delivery. If what they mean is free delivery to England and Wales then they need to make this clear in their advertising.

Amazing

Recently purchased the Suzuki vitara black. First time I have gotten a second hand car that’s 2 hours from me. George at completely motoring was absolutely amazing! Made the process swift and painless, all the pictures and videos were detailed as I couldn’t see it face to face. The queries I had George messaged me back within minutes with a detailed response. Even after I had the car in my possession I wanted to ask a question and he picked up the phone. The car was in MINT condition despite a 2 hour drive on the motorway! I will be using this company again in the future. Thank you George!!

AVOID

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!
I bought my golf from here, it had a few issues that they fixed before delivering it. Now, a few years later, all the paint is starting to peel off the bonnet. I was curious and took it to a repair shop who said its had a dodgy paint job repair.
This has been well covered up before selling it to me. Definitely cowboy sellers and will just try and get the dodgy cars off their hands ASAP. So disappointed and will cost be a bomb to try and get right now before selling it, if I can even sell it.

Fantastic service from start to finish

Fantastic service from start to finish. Needed to trade in a broken bike and ashley managed to sort everything for us. Very simple to make payment just using banking details on the paperwork. The old bike was picked up when the new bike was delivered. So straight forward from start to finish and the bike is excellent condition. Very pleased with our purchase

George and the team were a great help

George and the team were a great help, really sorted out some issues I had with my old car and got me driving away in a nice new one! The Vauxhall I bought has all the mod cons and can’t be happier. Will recommend people visit this place for a nice used car!

Don't buy anything from this company!

I am writing to warn you about this car dealership I recently reserved a vehicle from. I reserved a car using the my credit card which they said was refundable if I don't want the vehicle. They refused to provide any receipts or terms and conditions. They said it would be refunded when I asked for it, but when I asked for it, they said it's not refundable anymore. When I provided the all the proof, they said they will refund but never did it. They violate all terms of distance selling or trading standards. Please beware they are very fond of pre-delivery bank to bank transfer. Also, keep in mind, they don’t provide their terms and conditions on their websites.

When I pay full price for a car I…

When I pay full price for a car I expect it to be checked thoroughly before it is handed over. This car had a service. But whilst out driving to a appointment at the tyre fitters nearby in storm arwin, upon switching the wipers on the largest one constantly thumped into the rubber surround of the windscreen as it reached the top of its sweep. I then used the windscreen washer, that hardly worked either, upon later inspection the water reservoir was bone dry! I had a look at the tyres and found a lower section of plastic wheel arch had come adrift from its rivets. I contacted dealer, bought car back to completely motoring in the kia showroom. A few minutes later I was given the bad news about these 3 problems. It will take 2 days to fix as the whole inner wheel arch has to be replaced, along with the wiper unit and what ever wrong with the washer unit. If I had known about this I would have paid £2,500 for it. N. To. The next day it rained to and from work and the wiper is hopeless and the driving visibility poor and dangerous. And I have 2 more days to travel to work in it and then on Saturday deliver it to kia and hope it doesn't rain or worse snow I then have to walk a mile back home. Make do without the car until Tuesday. Walk to work and back again twice. I am on minimum wage and life has been a struggle as it is since my mother died a year and a half ago. I can do without this problem. I trusted the reviews and recommendations from people and I get this. Completely motoring had full price and paid cheaply for my old car. But I put up with it as I thought I was getting a full checked over car. If storm arwen had hit that part of Gloucester I was in hard I could have had a serious accident. These things should have been noticed when the car arrived there, why wasn't it picked up and resolved. And is there anything else that is in need of attention. No, I am not happy with this car. The staff are kind and helpful but this is a managers field. Give each car a basic check over before it's owner drives off in it. I just hope there isn't something else lurking around inside. I need a reliable vehicle to get me through winter and I thought this was it. The only good thing is that I wasn't on a long distance drive in bad weather and that I didn't crash

Brought my first car here with helping…

Brought my first car here with helping me get ready for my practical learning to drive and was a really good find. I test drove car which helped me decide if I wanted it, put a deposit down and a few days later picked it up! It was perfect, no hassle and George and the staff were very helpful with the whole process. Thankyou! I’m sure will be back in the future!
