We engaged Compound for the supply and installation of custom gym turf, which was paid in full upfront in October 2025.

From that point, the process was marked by significant delays, with the project extending to approximately six months without completion within a reasonable timeframe.
Throughout this period:
There was no clear or reliable delivery timeline
Communication became inconsistent
Multiple attempts were made on our end to resolve the situation professionally

When a resolution was discussed, we were offered the option to purchase additional equipment at cost price, which does not constitute compensation given the delay and impact on our business. A reasonable goodwill outcome was not agreed upon.

As a result, we were left with two options:
Accept the delayed delivery without compensation, or
Request a refund and source the product elsewhere
From a business perspective, this experience fell short in terms of:

Timeliness
Communication
Accountability in resolving delays

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering engaging Compound ensure that delivery timelines, contingencies, and remedies for delays are clearly documented upfront.

Sultan and the team at Compound Fitness made the whole process easy from start to finish. The equipment is solid, well built, and exactly what was described. Purchased some gym equipment from Compound Fitness and honestly couldn’t be happier. The gear feels solid, exactly what I was after, and the team was easy to talk to, quick to respond, and made the whole process straightforward.

We were running a solid gym, but our old equipment just didn’t match the level we were trying to operate at. It felt inconsistent. After some pretty lengthy research and back and forth we decided to make the switch to Compound and it completely elevated the space, the feedback from our members was awesome. The team weren’t pushy at all, you can tell they are genuinely invested in your vision, they worked with my budget, suggested what they thought would be great additions to the space. We paid over $30k back in early Nov and we still haven’t received our products or our $$$ back.

We were promised a refund for 4 curved treadmills that they couldn’t supply over a month ago. Still waiting after being told on multiple occasions the refund was coming.

Our Custom Turf is now delayed until mid April which was supposed to be an early
Jan delivery.

Somehow they’re posting complete gym fit outs and promoting a gym they built in Bali but I can’t get my own money back!!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!

Money is tight after investing in an expansion. We’ve explained our situation, which got us no where. We now need to take legal action.

This has had a dramatic impact on my business, my family, our personal finances and my mental health.

I bought most of my equipment from a direct supplier in China at the same time. All custom gear and had it delivered 6 weeks ago! Way cheaper, quality gear and I actually got what I paid for.

I’ll provide further updates as this situation unfolds.

These guys are absolute legends!

I have been working with compound for a few years now and im happy with the products im getting 99% of the time. That 1% is minor issues and I feel makes them shine the most because their customer support is excellent! No issue is to big and it always gets resolved.

Some of my members are big, rough and tough and when I needed customized gear to allow them to keep pushing their goals compound had me covered.

I have a couple of brands in my gym from before moving to compound and theirs takes the punishment with ease and hasn't required any outside service agent repairs.

Most brands sound amazing and promise the world until you start a business relationship, but reality often falls short. That wasn’t the case here, Compound fitness actually exceeded my expectations. You can tell the build quality is there, I haven’t seen such good value from a brand in the years I’ve been in the industry. Absolutely unreal! 100% recommended! Good job guys!

Honestly, opening my gym was bit of a nightmare with such a tight deadline and a really strict budget. I was genuinely stressing that I wouldn’t be able to fully equip the place, but the guys at compound fitness offered their commercial partnerships opp and they walked me through the whole selection process. Their communication was just spot on. It’s honestly rare to find such a good partner these days. I’m already thinking about expanding, and I’ll definitely be hitting them up for my future gear. Honestly, the service is just high quality as the gear compound fitness sells. They walked me through every single detail and gave me the guidance I really needed. Let’s face it setting up a gym is a massive challenge, especially when you don’t have a ton of experience. But with their help, the whole planning phase felt easy. They helped me figure out exactly what I needed, what types of equipment would work best, and managed the whole purchase.

Opening a gym requires planning, equipment, and apparently a surprising amount of patience training.
Earlier this year I paid a $40,000 deposit with the understanding it would be refunded if my bank finance didn’t proceed. Unfortunately the finance didn’t go through, which meant the deposit needed to be returned.
What I expected to be a straightforward process turned into a long wait. Weeks stretched into months, communication was slow, and timelines were often unclear.
At one point during a phone call I raised my concerns and the response felt dismissive, which was disappointing when trying to resolve a serious financial matter. It certainly didn’t feel like the level of professionalism you hope for when dealing with a large payment.
After seven months and the involvement of lawyers, the funds were eventually returned.
I’m relieved the situation is now resolved, but the process was stressful and time consuming. Based on my experience, I would strongly suggest making sure refund terms and timelines are very clearly documented before paying a significant deposit.

We are a small independent gym that placed a significant order with Compound Fitness late last year, including:
• Custom turf
• Four curved treadmills
• An abductor/adductor machine
• Accessory items

The order was paid according to the payment schedule requested by Compound Fitness, with most items paid in full by early November. We were originally given a 10-week timeline, that aligned with a publicly announced gym expansion and opening date with time to install.

Unfortunately, the experience since has been extremely disappointing, frustrating, and very stressful for a small business with everything invested in its growth.

Accessory Items

Some accessory items were delivered partially. This was not disclosed to us at the time of delivery and was only discovered over a month later once all boxes were opened during fit-out.

We have since been informed those items are out of stock with no confirmed replacement timeline. A refund has been offered but has not yet been delivered.

Custom Turf & Abductor Machine

The agreed timeframe for the custom turf (which also included the abductor machine) was late December / early January.

We are now being told expected delivery is “sometime in March.”

We have requested a vessel name and voyage number in order to independently confirm shipment through our customs broker. We have not received that information.

Curved Treadmills

The four curved treadmills are still outstanding now in late February.

They were still outstanding in early February when we were informed they were sourcing a new supplier. We had purchased a specific product, and being told months later that a new supplier was being sourced significantly reduced our confidence in both the product being as ordered and the delivery timeline.

We immediately requested a refund rather than accept a product from a newly sourced supplier. We were told this would be issued. We are still waiting, with no confirmed timeline.

Communication

We were eventually contacted via email addressing many of our concerns. We were offered an explanation for recent poor communication, acknowledgement of our position, confirmation that a refund would be processed, confirmation we would be provided a vessel number for the turf shipment, and confirmation that a refund would be issued for the missing accessory items.

Since that communication, multiple follow-up emails have gone unanswered. There is currently no known timeline for when refunds will be processed.

For a small studio that has reinvested heavily into expansion, delayed supply and outstanding refunds place real pressure on cash flow and day-to-day operations.

We engaged Compound Fitness in good faith and had hoped this would become a long-term supplier relationship, especially with further expansion planned. Based on our experience to date, we will not be using this company again and would strongly caution other gym owners.

We are still hopeful this matter can be resolved professionally and promptly, and if it is, we will return to provide an update on our experience.

Seems to be a common theme with these guys. Talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Took large amounts of money from our start up gym business, tens of thousands of dollars "refundable deposit" , they are not refunding it and we have nothing for it! We have lawyers involved. Do not buy from these guys. Very dodge business.
