This guy does a lot for the hobby. He did me a favour with a kit I bought and went the extra mile to make sure I understood how it worked. You don't find many stores doing that kind of thing nowadays.

Finally bought a Power monitor from Ivan after a few mates have bought stuff from him.
First, the website tells you if he has any in stock.
Second, I ordered on Sat and it was shipped on the Monday.
Brilliant service and top bloke. Now us Amateurs have someone we can deal with properly instead of having to phone a bloody shop up.

Connect VK definitely came up with the goods I enquired about and ordered a week beforehand.
I was very happy with Ivan, he gave lots of useful advice on the devices I purchased. He is very pleasant, friendly and professional to talk with. I intend to look at connect VK comprehensive web site in the future if I need to Purchase more equipment.

TLDR: ConnectVK is an awesome company to deal with, Ivan offers exceptional service and great deals. Highly recommended.



Long version:
 I'm a brand new licensed ham, and I have just bought my first rig from Ivan at ConnectVK.



Ivan is a ham himself and you can tell he's interested in helping out other hams - that really showed in the excellent experience I had buying my first amateur rig.


Ivan's service has been outstanding.
 He provided useful advice, helped me to confirm that the rig I was looking at was suitable and that I had the required components.



When we worked out what I needed Ivan offered me a deal - not just a list of parts on an invoice.



After I placed my order Ivan's service continued.
 That's a big part of the "taste test" for me - does the service change after the business has your money?
ConnectVK got my money, and Ivan's excellent service continued.
“Taste test” passed.


Great communications and quick order fulfilment.


The radio was in my hands within 24 hours of the payment clearing (I live in Adelaide, the same city that ConnectVK is based in).


After I received my radio Ivan called me to make sure I knew about Icom's 2 extra years of warranty if you register on their website.



Before calling Ivan at ConnectVK, I tried two of the bigger interstate dealers.


One competitor didn't answer their phone (5 calls over three days!!!) and the other has a sales team, who didn't seem too interested in a newbie ham's first rig - they just wanted to send me an invoice and payment details ASAP - they didn't seem that keen on providing advice and to be honest didn't seem all that interested in my order.

There's just no comparison ConnectVK's personal service was heads and shoulders above that from the two major amateur radio retailers I called and Ivan offered me a great deal too.

Every business should be like Ivan and ConnectVK, but not very many are.

Service was good , but i realized i bought the wrong plugs , sent a message to them through the website and got no reply , i bought the pl259 compression plugs , but i bought them for RG58 , not 213 ,

He also cant read , I posted that I realized I made a mistake , but he states I am blaming him . Would be a easy fix , but now you are trying to blame me .. I sent a message on your website ...

What part of the first line does it state i am blaming you ?????? . There may of been a mistake on the contact you process , but i never blamed you for anything , the contact you process asked for a email and phone number on your website, i very much doubt i got both of them wrong . Why are you trying to start a fight ?????? . My point on posting this was not negative , None of it was negative , I rated service and product high , you managed to try and pull the negative from it , Why ? , NO reply comment was a statement , and that only . Want me to remove that , i am happy to . I will delete this review if you want , life is to short to argue over a PL259 plug

I found that Ivan was very responsive and helpful with any questions that I did have, and in the end I was very pleased to place an order with them. The online ordering system worked very well, and the subsequent communications about the status of my order was excellent.
