I am a builder and have recently use Conservatory Base Company(CBC) for the first time to purchase an Edwardian conservatory for one of my clients. I had concerns before ordering, as I had recently read some of the previous negative comments. I spoke to the owner of CBC and was happy with what he had to say, I proceeded with the order, and I’m happy to report that I never had a single issue with them. From the time of placing the order, all staff were more than happy to help with any of my questions. There was a slight problem with the gutter, in relation to where the outlet was positioned. I emailed CBC, and without any hesitation, I was contacted within hrs, and the issue was rectified and replacement part sent to me, without hesitation.

Anna The ACCIDENTAL breakage of an internal pane of roof glass after 4 years would not be covered by any conservatory supply company.
As we can see from your published photos the toughened safety glass did its job and broke similar to a car window screen after any impact or stress. We did offer to get you a piece of roof glass at cost price to assist you, however you refused and took to repeated scathing reviews instead.
Repeated reviews by your family members, people who have never purchased anything from us, have obviously showed up a flaw in Google's review system. I am sorry we cannot meet your high expectation levels, however would you contact your car company if your windscreen was accidentally broken? No I guess you would contact your insurers which is now our best suggestion. We welcome fair reviews that reflect our company but with hundreds of fits since yours, you can see that our many happy customers just dont need to.

Google have been notified to take down this incorrect review due to it coming from an unverified account source we have chosen to reply until it is removed. I am sorry but we believe that you have reviewed the wrong company, we have checked our order books for the past 6 years and we have no order under your name, Ed Andersson. Furthermore, we have every faith in our staff and products and should anyone need to contact us we are always available and our customer services department are always polite, respectful and helpful. Might I suggest that you contact the appropriate company and discuss with them the issues you are unhappy with.

The company seem ok on the surface and all went ok untill the installers arrived on site.From the start they clearly didnt want to be there to do the job. The workmanship was poor and the time it took to install the conservatory on a durabase was ridiculous.
Any problems you have with the installation you are supposed to sort out yourself with the installers. The companys attitude changes once you have paid them for materials.
The main man from the install company who wasnt on site during our job attended several times to attempt to rectify issues,which he failed to do. Due to the stress and worry caused by this we suggested a small reduction in his fee for this. His attitude then changed and he threatened to take the conservatory down and remove it from our property.He then reluctantly accepted a slightly smaller reduced amount.
We have now been left with a conservatory we are not happy with.
The conservatory base company keep offering to send them back to rectify the issues, but the install team are clearly not capable of anything but trying to bodge up their own substandard work.
At the time of writing this we are still in dispute with the company regarding the best way to proceed.

I had nothing but problems with this company and the quality of the service and goods supplied, from day 1. My conservatory had to be sent back because it was sub standard before if was even put up. Then the real issues started. It has leaked from day one and continues to do so quite spectaculary on certain days. I've tried everything. The company are rude and dishonest to deal with. I gave up trying to get anywhere with them over the leaks. The original fitters (awful) went out of business and it was their fault apparently, so...tough. Even though it was sold with a 10 year Guarantee. Don't be fooled. Their Guarantees are worthless. BUT most recently a whole panel of glass from the ceiling shattered into thousands of pieces and fell down onto my dining table. It could have caused severe injury to anyone under it. I called to ask for some help and the manner in which I was dealt with was appalling. Guess what? The manufacturer of MY conservatory has ALSO gone out of business and any guarantee I had was with them so....tough. We are in the process of taking this to Trading Standards. PLEASE PLEASE don't get involved here if you value your health.

Had a conservatory and base kit from them. Very friendly and helpful and easy to talk to. Products are excellent quality and much higher than I expected for a kit. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy one.

We purchased a conservatory from this company which also advertises as diy conservatories. We paid extra for the people to come to our property to measure up and also paid extra for them to erect the conservatory as it was large and would have been difficult for my husband and I to do so. All went relatively well during the ordering phase but it was at this stage that we found that diy conservatory were also conservatory Base Company which led to a bit of confusion. It is also possible they may be the same as K2 conservatories.We paid for the units and a date was arranged for delivery and erection over 2 days. We ensured all base work was prepared as requested and all went to schedule. The 2 fitters worked hard and fast, perhaps to fast, and completed the job. First issues we found was that one of the doors did not closed properly and also we had mis-matched trim. We tried to resolve these issues with the company but to no avail and eventually repaired/replaced ourselves.
However in September approx 1 year after the conservatory was built whilst we were sitting in it one of the glazed units exploded and shattered. There was absolutely no indication of anything hitting it and if you were to see the location of the conservatory also understand why this would be unlikely. We contacted conservatory base company who immediately said they would refer it to the glass manufacturers. They came back saying it was caused by something striking it and was therefore not covered and we would have to pay. Regardless of what we said and pointed to the photos as well as researching into this and found that windows can indeed shatter they would not move so we eventually replaced it ourselves.
Fast forward to 9/1/19 and we noticed a crack running from the corner of another unit. We again supplied photos and was given exactly the same runaround with the reason given that it was caused by impact. In fact it would appear that they did not even bother to look at the photos or read the description of the location correctly as they gave the excuse for one of the small opening windows which apparently are not toughened even though I had stated that it was a large unit.
I would suggest that anyone looking to use this company would thing hard before doing so as it would appear that if anything goes wrong there is a culture of denying liability and passing the buck for someone else to do exactly the same.
