I had an amazing pasta class in Rome! This was my third time using Cookly and it never disappoints. The support team helped me find the perfect class for my dietary needs, which I really appreciated.... See more

The Cookly website advertises that you can cancel within 48 hours for a full refund. I requested to cancel several weeks before the scheduled date and have yet to see a refund (now going on 2 weeks).... See more

That was just an amazing experience!!

That was just an amazing experience!!
The very friendly staff spent a lot of time to explain me everything and to show me how to prepare all the ingredients...and the dish was just delicious!!! :)
You get all the recipes printed out, so you can cook all dishes again at home!
AND: I arrived at their place at a wrong date (one day early), so the stuff managed spontaniously to build up the hole show kitchen and gave me the course, even though it was my fault :) thank you very much

The Beijing Chinese Classic Cooking…

The Beijing Chinese Classic Cooking Class run by Chao Zhou and his assistant Xiao Zing was very interesting and a lot of fun. They operate out of the back of Chao's home in a nicely equipped kitchen situated in a Beijing hutong on a side road. Chao started by giving us a lesson in Chinese condiments that included soy sauces, vinegars and wines. After we walked to his local wet market to secure the fresh ingredients we needed for our lesson. We made sweet & sour pork, braised chicken with mushrooms, broccali with oyster sauce and a ginger flavored egg custard for dessert. Everything was simply delicious. Definitely enjoyed the time with Chao and Xioa.

Refusal to give promised refund or response at all to customer inquires

This website has responded to COVID-19 absolutely terribly. I booked a month before my scheduled trip to Vietnam. When it became apparent that I would no longer be able to take my trip due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, I emailed Cookly to request a refund. Cookly's standard policy, not even considering COVID circumstances, is to give a refund for a cancellation more than 48 hours before the class. I initially received an email back from a representative of Cookly called Maureen, saying that they "could surely process your cancellation request but we are hoping that you may consider to have it as a credit instead of canceling." I replied that I would prefer a refund as I don't know when I'll be able to take a class. After this email, I never heard back at all from Maureen or anyone on the Cookly team, despite sending FOUR follow-up emails over the past month. This behavior from a company that says it provides excellent experiences and customer services to travelers is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Travelers beware.

The booking was very easily done

The booking was very easily done, and the communication very clear. The cooking school with whom we booked was very good and we are happy that we booked via Cookly!

money not refunded.

Had every intention of attending class but b/c Morocco closed their borders we had to leave the country. Money not refunded—-only a later class or online class offered neither of which we wanted.

Cancellation didnt work...

I needed to cancel my booking and asked for a refund. I got a reply within one day. The cookly admin team told me that I could decide between a credit to my account or a normal refund to my credit card. I decided for the refund to my card but however didnt get any further answers or a refund since then. Although I was asking for it some more times. Seems a bit shady...

What a fun experience while in Chiang Mai! The 5 recipes we learned in class were very worthwhile. The instruction from the teacher(s) was wonderful. Simple, clear and fun instruction. We’re already making the recipes back at home! Thank you!!❤️

Sorry for the 1 star rating but we ended up canceling our trip to Japan because of Covid 19. In all the emails asking us to review our experience, there was no way to indicate we did not participate. Yet, I still get requests for a review.

Unfortunately Bali experience.

An incredible experience that is so much more than just a cooking course. It was a really amazing insight into local and traditional Balinese life through food.

Nyoman and his family are wonderful hosts, so knowledgeable about many varieties of food and it is a truly unforgettable experience and if your in Ubud, not one to miss. Can’t recommend it enough.

very poor service

I contacted you to request a refund prior to my course as travel to Morocco had been banned by the Government due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I have not even received the courtesy of a response from you.

A really fun experience

A really fun experience! Chris was punctual, nice and happy to share his knowledge on the local (food) culture and peculiarities regarding life in Cambodia.
The cooking class and visit to a local market that preceded it, were very well put together, informative and fun! The set-up for the cooking class is very nice and the chef is hilarious - and the food we made was delicious!
Would definitely recommend this!

Class experience was as described

Class experience was as described

The only suggestions I have to improve my experience are more timely responses and meetup details. My cooking class included a tour of the market. Because the school offered pickup, the assumption is that you do not meetup details. However, we had our own vehicle.
