Bought the 1000psi pump in 2020 and it stopped working this summer of 2025. I feel 5 years is not bad but would be nice to have it last longer. However we are in Tucson AZ and the water is pretty hard. We have two filters on it and it always performed. I kinda think it was the heat that messed up the pump when not in use. In Tucson it’s so hot that gaskets dry up if not in use. So who knows? But I contacted them to get just the pump this time and they included basically the whole kit. Wow that’s super cool now I have extra nozzles and hoses and new filter. Not complaining about that as it was super cool

I found Cool-Off on the internet. I gave them a call and David was super helpful. Very knowledgeable and shipping was super prompt. Th system was easy to install and with our extreme heat in the Las Vegas area, the system performs extremely well. It makes our back patio bearable and we have begun using it a lot. Dave and his team were very helpful!

I live in SC and I purchased a high pressure misting system for my back porch. It did not work and all it did was make everything soaking wet. This is after I was told that it would work in high humidity. I tried smaller nozzles and that did not work. So Cool-Off said if I would purchase a misting fan they would give me a second for free and that will surely fix it. Well it doesn't work well, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Great product and excellent customer service. Installation was easy and the mister system cools down our patio making it very enjoyable to sit outside now.

The people at Cool-Off are great to deal with, very responsive and helpful. I've had my system for a few years now and it continues to perform well. I do have to buy misting nozzles once in a while when I forget and leave them out through winter - the nozzles will crack.

These systems simply will go bad, and naturally will be out of warranty. Bought the top package, spent over $1200 on a system that is now useless. Pump got to 600hrs and then died, spent 4 months trying to get the issues resolved with owner David “the excuse” machine- never got the China made garbage to run again- he did offer a “discount “ on a new pump. Why would I spend more money on more garbage? Makes zero sense. Look bottom line is avoid this company- zero support, and the reality is faulty equipment that can never be fixed.

Do NOT purchase from this company! They are a complete scam! I’ve attempted to contact them for the past two months about equipment we purchased from them that never worked. When I finally got in contact with the owner, David Shanks, he hung up on me.

Pros:
- The sales team does a great job of explaining how to get set up, what’s needed, etc.
- The pumps work pretty well and are fairly quiet. Like misting systems in general, they’re the best option for outdoor cooling.

Cons:
- Cool Off ignored my repeated emails and voice messages requesting help with pump problems. It was a complete disappearing act.
- After Googling the label on the pump, "FG Machine," I discovered the hardware is actually from the Taizhou Fog Machine CO (fog-mist.com), just with Cool Off labels slapped on.
- The marketing on the Cool-Off site is deceptive, with this direct quote: “When the engineers at Cool-Off put their name behind a product you can be no shortcut are even taken.” Two issues there: 1) the typo and 2) the engineers aren’t at Cool-Off at all, but in Zhejiang Province, China. Cool-Off is simply importing, rebranding, and up-charging.

FOR ANYONE HAVING PUMP ISSUES: Go to fog-mist.com and use their contact us page to get technical support. They're the ones who actually built the product. They are incredibly helpful and responsive, and had no problems sorting out my issue - I'm up and running once again.

At one point this may have been a great company with reliable, made-in-America products. The first misting system I purchased from them many years ago gave me over 10 years of reliable, trouble free misting action, with great customer service. Since then, I feel obligated to report that both the product and the customer service have gone abysmally downhill.

When the original unit I bought stopped functioning one year ago, I bought a replacement high pressure system that turned out to be a total lemon. It never worked from the start, and after several months of complaints with the owner, I was sent a new 1000 psi pressure unit that was billed as the “ultimate misting system.” It worked great initially with indeed a very nice mist. But after 50 hours, this unit also stopped working. I was able to reach technical support and they give me a few suggestions for trouble shooting. When I looked inside the unit, I was surprised to see that the circuit board was completely corroded. I called the support line over a dozen times but no one ever returned my phone calls. Multiple emails to their support line also went unreturned. Now I am stuck with a corroded, completely useless piece of junk. And the company simply just does not care.

In researching this product further, I learned that it is actually made in China. It sells on Alibaba.com (the Chinese equivalent of Amazon) for about $200. I was further surprised to hear that the my model is not waterproof. Only the most recent model is. So if you bought one of these misting systems last year, be prepared for having a problem similar to mine. And while I can accept the fact that mechanical systems sometimes fail, what is unacceptable to me is that a company can care so little about its customers, that they repeatedly ignore their request for service and help. Cool-off’s new business model is just to sell us some cheap Chinese trash, and with the markup they charge, what does it matter if they lose customers along the way?

Well, they have certainly lost me. I will never buy a product from them again, and I would urge anyone considering to do so to be very careful.

Terrible communication and the slowest shipping I've ever experienced. I purchased a fan over a month ago. David (I think the owner) gave me an excuse that they use a third-party shipper...doesn't everyone? I still haven't seen my fan. They don't answer the phone and they stopped answering email. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! You will regret it.
