Took slightly more than the standard 3 months (due to shipping delays) but definitely well worth the wait.
David was very knowledgeable and really helpful, so glad I took his advice and went with Cool Shutters. Quiet a price reduction compared to a well-known supplier.
I had 6 shutters installed (which included a large bay window, waterproof café style shutter in the bathroom) and they’re all very smart / clean looking; definitely makes the room. Already noticing road noise reduction.
Matt who did the installation was polite and pleasant, cleaned up after himself, no issues caused to the paintwork. All in all, took just over 5 hours to install – well impressed
The only slight negativity that I would say is that I was chased more than a couple of times for the remainder of the payment before the installation even took place (I paid the balance when the installation was nearly completed)

waited a little while due to shipping issues although really please with service overall from start to finish. Shutters look amazing and fitter went above and beyond ensuring I was pleased explaining clearly how to clean etc even removed my old blinds. Would definitely use again.

Overall we are delighted with our choice to go with CoolShutters. Great care was taken to measure up and describe every detail (although there were a few misunderstandings... which ironed out comfortably on completion). The quality of the product and the care that our tradesman took to fit and finish off was outstanding... again delighted.
We had 2 bays, 1 wide flat and 2 flat square windows fitted, (25 boxes) and it took one whole day for one tradesman. John was prompt and worked flat out to get finished and cleaned up as soon as he could. I’ve not had any problems or noticed anything that I need to call CoolShutters about. The shutters have been in for a week and have transformed the house. We find they make the rooms warmer and a lot quieter. There is no bar to open and close the slats (not a problem as it’s quite enjoyable setting them all at the right angles haha) however, they appear quite robust but I am still a bit nervous when opening the shutter to get at the windows ... family are a bit heavy handed and under strict instructions).
I was advised that the lead time was going to be approx 12wks and wasn’t surprised (nor bothered) that they took a little longer.
I would definitely recommend CoolShutters and will be returning to complete the house when we get the kitchen sorted.

I hope my experience of dealing with cool shutters will deter anyone from doing business with them in the future. Their after sale service is virtually non-existent. I have been waiting for more than 5 months to have a damaged slat replaced, a simple enough request. Anytime I phone them I’m told that they can only call to me if they have work nearby, which is a ridiculous attitude for a so called responsible firm to take. David, who sold me the shutters is of course unavailable to come to the phone whenever I ask to speak to him personally. I might add that the person I do get to speak to is both rude and arrogant. So my advice to any potential customers is to stay clear of cool shutters and find a decent ethical firm.

We decided to use Coolshutters once again as we were very pleased with the shutters they installed about 5 years ago. David from Coolshutters visited us to measure up & give us a price, he was pleasant & we felt no pressure to buy. The new shutters were installed the beginning of Dec (2019) by John who was polite & friendly, he completed our installation with pride & was very courteous & professional. We are very pleased with the new shutters, they look FAB!!!

We changed the spec after ordering which was no problem to Cool Shutters.
Also a colour sample before ordering enabled us to match our paintwork perfectly to the shutters.

Had lots of companies over and David was the most thorough, he was also recommended by my sister who has had shutters from him too. The installation men John and Ben was so professional and friendly and got the job done perfectly. So glad we went with cool shutters.

Ordered April its November now and still no shutters. Had 4 emails from them and none since July. Paid 50% deposit. They take no responsibility and are very hostile on the phone. They blame China as the factory is there. The Chinese don't let customers down. This is happening a lot with this company.
They are now threatening court, although not sure why. However, we will get our deposit back as the Sale of Goods Act over rides the cool shutters terms as they cover no delivery, late delivery and damaged on arrival. Go with Hillarys

I have never written a poor review on Trustpilot before but I feel compelled to write about the awful service we have had from Cool Shutters, we placed our order in July with a 50% deposit of £1500 and told we would have our shutters by September, we were then informed it would be November, and have now been informed it’s December. I can appreciate things can be delayed due to operations in China, where they are manufactured but we are not able to cancel our order or get a refund which is appalling when Cool Shutters have £1500 of our money. Very very dissatisfied with the attitude of the sales teams, who haven’t even bothered to call us about it! Would never recommend or use again, which is a shame as I was recommended to use them.

Love my shutters! Had my whole house fitted over the past year, a mixture of white and grey shutters. The service I received has been 5 star from initial ordering with David to the fitting by Ben & John. No pushy sales and no mess when they were fitted, will be recommending Cool Shutters to all my friends!

After looking at various suppliers of shutters we decided to use Cool Shutters mainly because of the quality of the product but also the professionalism of the company and its personnel. Hello Cool Shutters! Thanks for the lovely shutters you fitted in our house last week. The fitter John did a great job, never stopped. He tidied up after himself and it was really nice to see a workman who was interested in what he was doing. He explained everything to me and my partner before he left. The shutters are so much nicer than the office blinds we had and have transformed our house. My sister in law has seen them and wants them. Yes, we waited but I’m not complaining about that at all. We were kept informed and they turned up on the day they said they would be here. A nice mention to Caleb, thanks very much. We will be back for more when we save up.

I would be wary of dealing with this company. If the installation goes according to plan then you will be satisfied. But if there is a problem then the service is in my experience abysmal. I ordered a full set of shutters from this company and when they arrived at my house one of them was damaged. It was pointed out to me by the fitter and reported to cool shutters. They said they would replace the damaged shutter but have not been in touch with me to do this and it is now more than six months since installation took place. The company require you to pay in advance so you have no leverage in relation to retaining part payment until you receive satisfactory service. I’ve given them an opportunity to resolve this problem but cool shutters have shown no interest in doing so. I would therefore advise you to seriously consider using another company.

I ordered plantation shutters for my kitchen and guest room windows on 28 February 2019 and they still have not been fitted. i expected them in June and so removed existing blinds and painted the window frames in readiness. I paid half the total cost with my order and feel very disappointed with the service.

I was told by Cool Shutters that the delay is due to Chinese New Year...........I have my daughter and her baby coming to stay and have to put them in a bedroom with no privacy and no shield from daylight.

Just wondering how I stand re cancelling my order? I am not an unreasonable person but this wait is becoming nothing less than ridiculous.

Poor communication and service. I ordered in Jan paying a deposit of 50% and shutters were finally fitted end of June. Initially told 12wks lead time, then 14 as they are made in China and order coincided with Chinese New Year, closer to 20 weeks when fitted. Also discussion over paying remaining 50% prior to fitting, apparently this was stated in a contract that I never received, was beginning to wonder if this was a real firm or a scam. Did come to arrangement where I paid a proportion on arrival of fitter. He said it would take 2-3 hours but 4.5 hours later he finished and the solid wooden shutters purchased to give good black out conditions in a bedroom were less effective than blinds and curtains they replaced. There is light leak from all the joins and has not fulfilled the purpose for which they were bought. I wrote to the director of the company, who did our initial measurements,as was unclear if they had any solution but over a week later I have had no reply. I would not recommend this company for either their product or their service.

I’m really happy with my new shutters (they will look even better when I get the property renovations finished!).
Ben & John done an excellent job fitting the shutters – they were very professional, friendly and cleaned up after they had finished.

I would recommend your shutters to any one interested in having them installed.
