We hired Hibu to handle our marketing, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish.
They made several promises during the sales process that were never delivered on. Once we signed up, communication completely dropped off—our rep, Drew, was extremely difficult to get ahold of and provided little to no follow-up.
When we decided to cancel due to the lack of results and support, it took nearly 3 months just to get in contact with someone who could actually help us cancel the service. Even more frustrating, we were then told we would still be charged for an additional month after cancellation.
Overall, the lack of communication, unmet expectations, and difficulty canceling made this a very poor experience. I would not recommend Hibu to other business owners looking for reliable marketing support.

Hibu on the front end positioned themselves as a marketing company. We were sold on a package where a majority of the monthly charge was for adspend. Over the entire course of four months working with this company, we were unable to see any of the ads that we were reportedly paying to have posted, and generated not a single new lead. Throughout the time they claimed several of our own natural calls from our outside sales team as “leads“ however, these people said that they were calling in from flyers or direct conversations with our sales people. Throughout the entire time, they were extremely difficult to get a hold of, did very little of what they said they would, did not produce a single lead, created a lot of stress and additional damage and the way their software integrated with ours, even after saying they would not do certain things. Within the company, communication was poor and several times guarantees on one end would be unheard by the rest of the company. The account manager who is supposed to be talking with us multiple times a week was completely ghosted throughout the time as things got more and more stressful. I talked to several other companies who said they thought they were having a good experience and had them look a little bit closer and they found the same thing. Terrible company. They do not market or bring in clients.

My experience working with Hibu was extremely disappointing and ultimately a waste of my time, money, and effort. I was initially contacted and encouraged to switch from my existing website to one they would provide, which was presented to me as a free, optimized solution that would improve my business visibility. However, after signing, I later learned from another representative that I was actually being charged for the website in addition to the marketing service all along.
Throughout our agreement, I raised repeated concerns that my business was being advertised in the wrong city. Despite paying monthly, my concerns went unanswered, and when leads did come in, potential customers believed my business was located in the incorrect location listed in the ads. As a result, I did not gain any new clients from the service I was paying for.
After four months, I requested to end the agreement. Although multiple representatives acknowledged that the ads were running in the wrong area, each person passed responsibility to someone else and claimed they didn’t understand how the mistake happened. I was told the issue would be escalated and corrected, but it never was. Instead, billing continued and payment was still demanded, with little interest shown in actually resolving the problem or providing satisfactory service.
Even my sales representative, James W., contacted me stating he would help resolve the situation, but after that conversation I received no follow-up or assistance.
Overall, my experience was frustrating, misleading, and unproductive.

Absolutely terrible experience with Hibu.
Our rep completely stopped responding — we’ve called, texted, and emailed with no reply. They failed to transfer our website in time, which left our business without a website for several days. That is unacceptable for a company that charges what they charge. They are way too expensive for this level of service.
It gets worse. When we called corporate to cancel due to the lack of communication and failed service, they claimed they don’t even have access to their manager’s phone number. While we were ON THE PHONE with them trying to cancel, they ran our card anyway.
Unprofessional, disorganized, and zero accountability. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.

For me, they built a site that I explicitly said "I do not want" and ran that site, essentially competing with my actual website! Tell me who does that when they are trying to build your business.
All this company exists for is to lock you in a contract and then wipe their hands and say, sorry we tried. This is their business model.
They did to me. Don't let them do it to you.

HIBU abandoned and destroyed a roofing company in Kentucky. A small company that once produced over 7M with a pristine reputation was reduced to ashes in less than 4 months. Avoid HIBU like they were the plague. HIBU took over their Google Business Profile, added 2 unqualified people from India as OWNERS of the GBP who linked the wrong URL to another website promoting ANOTHER COMPETITOR, and published a non-working phone number unbeknownst to the business owner. HIBU invoiced thousands of dollars, then disappeared without notice. It wasn't until I found a link on the domain HIBU designed (garbage) that was also abandoned that I found a link to a non-functional contact form on a 3rd party site. How F'd up is that?

Ranking tanked after being with them the 1st month then they dissapeared for help...
I am documenting this publicly because repeated private attempts to resolve it have gone nowhere.
After onboarding, communication dropped off completely. My assigned account manager left the company without notice. No replacement was assigned. No proactive outreach occurred. I had to initiate contact myself just to find out what happened.
More importantly, the service itself is not being delivered:
The company does not have access to my website.
The company does not have access to my Google Business Profile.
No one has requested access or performed work.
No updates, optimizations, reporting, or strategy discussions have taken place.
Despite this, billing continues.
When I requested cancellation due to lack of service, the only response was a generic reference to the contract. That response ignores the core issue: a contract requires performance on both sides. Billing without providing the service is not honoring the agreement.
During this period of inactivity and absence of management, my rankings declined.
I am asking for a clean separation and an end to billing. If this is resolved promptly, I am happy to update or remove this review to reflect the outcome.
If not, I will continue to document the experience accurately for others to see.
Please explain how Hibu can lawfully bill for services that cannot be performed because Hibu does not have access to the accounts required to deliver them. They do not have access to my website.

That is a material failure to perform.Hibu keeps referencing the contract, but the contract presumes service delivery. At this point, Hibu does not have access to my website, my Google Business Profile, or my accounts, and has not been performing the services outlined in the agreement.
Billing without the ability or intent to deliver the contracted services constitutes a failure to perform and a material breach. Continuing to invoice under these circumstances is not enforceable, regardless of contract term length.
I am requesting immediate termination with no further billing and written confirmation that my accounts and listings are released. If this is not resolved, I will proceed with formal disputes and public documentation of the failure to provide services.
Proceed accordingly.

I thought it was cancelled until my ex-partner said he was still getting billed all these months but thought he was paying for something else. The Website primarily attracts solicitors trying to sell me their services. It has been a total waste of money and time. $603 per month is a total ripoff !!!

I have been a customer for years and never had an issue of Customer Service and responding to any problem I had. My rep Patrick Hebert was always helpful and wanted me to get the most of what Hibu offered. He was attentive and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again

It has been a pleasure working with Kimberly and Hibu. They were very helpful in setting up my website. Listened to every detail I wanted and needed and made sure it was exactly the way I wanted before it went live. HIBU in my opinion was completely incompetent. I paid them $15,000 for SEO services and got 2 calls that might be considered legitimate and around 400 SPAM calls that were a waste of time and money. SPAM calls were computer generated and nobody was on the line when we answered the call and when I called the number back it was a disconnected number or a recording saying it was a nonworking number.
