Disappointed:(
Would normally have nothing but positive things to say about Costa but a recent experience left me very disappointed. Went to the branch at King’s Cross station and asked for a drink to be made with dietary requirements- they didn’t listen and made a regular drink as I watched them make it - I did try asking them to stop before finishing but they didn’t hear me. I told them it wasn’t correct and could they make it again- they were very unimpressed and then tried to charge me the extra money for the alternate milk again even tho they already charged me extra the first time. They clearly decided they didn’t like me since the drink they did make was only 3/4 full! I am a regular with Costa and often ask for gift cards for my birthday but I don’t think I will be going to this branch again. They were very rude and didn’t treat my allergy with the proper concern - they didn’t wash out the equipment before making it a second time either! As someone who works in a kitchen and deals with allergens regularly, I understand the importance of them and understand it may take extra time to make them, but regardless we must give them the proper time and attention they deserve so everyone can stay happy and healthy :)
A very disappointing visit
A very disappointing visit.
This Costa (Watford Arches drive thru & cafe )had a refresh recently so I was expecting to be ‘wowed ‘ when I went in to the shop. It was exactly the same, the tables and chairs were not clean, the ice machine was broken, the air conditioning was not working and it was very warm in there . It was so warm that myself & my daughter left without finishing our coffee, my daughter felt faint and getting too warm isn’t good for my health ( I have M.S.) . I had to use the toilet, it was dirty and smelt, the sanitary & nappy bins were broken & emitting a nasty smell.
I will certainly think twice about using Costa
Beans expired??????
It's taken me along time to collect 5 beans. As don't go in Costa often. Now they've removed them as they've expired. Surely I spent money for those they should just stay on my account . Rediculas.
Very clean store
Very clean store, welcoming atmosphere. If I hadn’t been in my way to meet someone, I would have sat indoors to enjoy my coffee, as the site was excellent and inviting.
I was assisted by Lasya at Castleford Bridge Street; a smiley, and efficient member of your team. Good eye contact and listed to my request/query about my coffee order.
Thank,you.

Took my 2 adult sons to Costa in Vale Park Aylesbury today. The coffee was awful, it was not drinkable. I just hope I remember never to go back again for a coffee
Staff not friendly
At Queen Victoria hospital in kirkaldy and noticed all the cake and biscuit labels were all in the wrong place nothing matched so told a member of staff who looked and said she sorted them earlier! All in the wrong place labels didn't match the items. She wasn't pleasant at all. Tried filling in contact form and it didn't accept Queen Victoria hospital as a site!
Also someone asked for decaff and was told there wasn't any
I will no longer visit.
We used to pop into stores occasionally, particularly when travelling to grab a quick toasty and a drink. Started to increasingly notice that the hygiene was just getting worse in most stores that were visited. From dirty tables to huge amounts of flies either visibly dead or constantly buzzing around and then landing on drinks cups. I then unfortunately had one incredibly horrific experience which has put me off going ever again and their response to the matter was absolutely disgusting. We went in to store for a meeting. All had hot drinks the drinks were not good at all. I then would also watch the staff very unhygienically handle things. I was then incredibly poorly reasonably quickly, I do have a system which will reject things reasonably quickly if something is wrong and I'm incredibly thankful for that in most circumstances. I was in the bathroom within a very short space of time being incredibly unwell. Unfortunately it didn't stop there and I ended up being horrifically poorly and unfortunately with how violently poorly I was without going into too much detail. This ended up causing third degree burns. With another few days and nights of being horrifically unwell. I ended up in a&e with horrific wounds and having to be cleaned and dressed. We were then told by the a&e department that burns had gone. Deep enough they damage the nerves. Thank goodness I had family who I could go and stay with whilst I was unable to look after myself. Because of this one incident. I was told by medical teams that I was incredibly lucky that my system had rejected it. When it did. I was also told that I was incredibly lucky that we weren't looking at skin grafts. Despite the horrific pain and damage, I'd actually got off quite lightly. I was in dressings for over 6 weeks was still in significance amount of pain 2 months on. After coming out of dressings it over 2 years before the nerves fully repaired, I was incredibly lucky that that had also happened. I took this as it being a freak experience and just bad luck. And then unfortunately I heard that a very similar thing had happened to a friend's child exactly the same reaction incredibly quickly. They We're lucky and there was no damage. I then reported this to Costa on the first go round. I was completely ignored. I then tried again sent reams of evidence of my experience. Also reporting that it happened to somebody else and so it wasn't just a one-off freak thing. I was met with. We take hygiene very seriously. This can't have possibly happened. It's too late for us to really investigate in any detail now, and there's nothing in our records that show these findings or any reports. Previously the things have happened to others. Basically just an outright rejection and denial that anything had gone wrong. Then they refused to investigate further and their way of closing. The conversation was to offer a £5 voucher. Please be very careful, particularly with children. I have not been in to one of their stores since.
Visited store at Wheatley Hall Shopping…
Visited store at Wheatley Hall Shopping Park today. I have never visited a store as untidy. We wiped the table on sitting down with wet wipes as remnants of food on table and then my partner saw a brush and pan and proceeded to sweep under our table as littered with paper napkins and food, which we had to kick to one side just to sit down. The woman who served at the til was cold and lacked any customer service skills. The prices are not cheap at these places and the service received was not what you would expect from such a recognised establishment. This is not me being picky.....a lady at the next table commented that it appears to be the norm thesedays that on sitting, you have to wipe your own table down as no one bothers to clean them.
Worst customer service in the world
Brought a e-gift card but no working. Sent details to Costa through the Contact Us in the Costa App. Received automatic mail acknowledgment from Costa but no more response after that. The e-gift card still not usable, still nobody get in touch of me, can’t find the way to talk to responsible person, I was just being totally ignored.

I went into Costa Lower Mall Manchester Arndale for a Latte. Nothing welcoming from the young woman serving. But i didn’t go in for the friendly atmosphere or the staff welcome. I ordered a medium Latte.
This was 6:30pm on Thursday. It arrived in a paper cup (£4.10p in a paper cup 🤦🏻♂️). I asked why they weren’t served in glass anymore. The young woman told me they’d had a busy day and everything was in the washer (their open until 8pm).
There were glass beakers behind her on a shelf (but perhaps i looked gullible). I told her Latte tastes awful in paper cups and had i known i wouldn’t have ordered. Most hot drinks do imo.
She offered a refund which i took and left her with the Latte in a paper cup. Don’t know what it is with Manchester Arndale (King Andy’s last Domain) but there’s nowhere to go and relax anymore especially late afternoon.
You can tell staff don’t want to be there. Perhaps it’s staff shortages, long hours and low pay that drags the staff down.
Maybe these huge profit fuelled outfits could employ more staff, pay better wages. That way staff and punters would be much more chirpy. But that’s not going to happen in this profit before people world (profit before staff included) we are now living in ☕️
When we arrived
When we arrived, there were many tables empty but with lots of trays with crockery on them not cleared. However Skye the young lady serving was amazing. You could clearly see that she was rushed off her feet, but her customer service skills were on point.
Well done Skye! You are a credit to Costa, Fforestfach!
Nothing short of excellent
In the Stockport Peel branch and have to say what excellent service I have received. I ducked in here because it’s raining and looked at the menu and have never tried Matcha. The staff very kindly made me two samples to try. Although it wasn’t to my taste and ended up with an Americano. My coffee was carried to my table because I had shopping and my hands were full. This is the type of service I have found rare in recent days and just wanted to shout about it and give the staff a big Thankyou. Your respect and excellent service is well received
Took family in for a bite of lunch
Took family in for a bite of lunch, in the Kilmarnock town centre. The noise was deafening. Air conditioning made the cafe very cold, giving one of my party earache.
Will give this cafe a miss in the future
COSTA computer
I was at Costa in NEXT in Cwmbran needing coffee. I saw a deal of coffee and a toastie, so decided to go for it.
First coffee machine is broken, OK that happens, so i said i would have a cold coffee, tge assustant said she could only do a Latte as cold coffee.
Then she asked me for 1
£10.99 I said tge deal is £6.95, the she informed me that that till knows that the coffee machine is broken so it wont do the deal. I then gave her £6.95 and said i do t care what her till thinks i just want a coffee and a toastie hot or cold. She then said she had to get the manager to open the till. Out walks this you boy with bucked teethe only recently out of nappies. He then repeared what tge girl had said and i said i just want a coffee and roast, hepoint blank refused to give me what i wanted, ecause the computer said i ca t have a coffee deal if the coffee machine is broken. These young people cant do anything without a machine to do it for them

Got 2 medium lattes as normal the new girl making them obviously hasn't been trained properly they short measured i could tell she hadn't put enough milk in and when she poured them she didn't make any attempt to make them to correct level when me and my partner to take a drink they were luke warm
If she's making drinks next I'll just walk out and go to greggs next door
Some of the new staff are Okay I appreciate she has to learn but the staff member training her is also new and hasn't been their long
We use this branch nearley every day and aren't impressed with some of the new staff some regulars have stopped using this costa
I know you put prices up but drinks shouldn't be cold and half measured
Costa are an absolute disgrace
Costa are an absolute disgrace. I went in this morning to get a coffee and bite to eat at Costa on sealand Road in Chester with my father. 2 years ago was last time I’d been there and last time I had the audacity to complain about the lukewarm they’d served me. Sometime after we went through their driveway and I had my disabled daughter with me who got very upset at how their manager treated me she doesn’t understand with a vulnerable adult. I warned this manager how he is upsetting my daughter but he wasn’t bothered he continued it took quite some time to calm my daughter down. After that experience I wasn’t going back to Costa. But today I did thinking Costa won’t be holding a grudge against me. I was wrong this is about 2 years later I sat down outside waiting for my dad to bring the drinks.
Whilst sat outside a female member of staff waited to say something to my father about me. So it turns out she’s the manager and her behaviour is absolutely disgraceful she involved my dad when her problem was with me. But she made sure she got the money first and told my father I’ll let it go this time. Omg who does she think she is. Talking about holding a grudge against me. Why couldn’t she do decent thing and chat to me outside directly. I decided I was having none of it. I went into Costa to complain this manager I asked to speak to. She refused to come outside she preferred to do it inside due to safety concerns I said to her what do you think I’m going to do something. I thought let’s have a calm conversation unbelievable so she embarrassed herself. Pathetic and petty narrow minded on her part. I said to her how dare you involve my father. After that debacle she told me to leave. Trust me I didn’t want to go back to Costa than be subjected to that. Message to that manager I will be making to your head office I will get you sacked you horrible woman
