I ordered two dog costumes 10/2023, here it is a year later and I got a notice that costumes were ready to ship. Multiple emails and calls ( no live person) and still not shipped. No return email or calls. A year really? Do not do it!
DESPITE PROMISES, WILL NOT DELIVER ON TIME.
Ordered costumes for Halloween in September. Costume failed to ship in a timely manner. I contacted the company with the concern that the costumes would not arrive in time for my children on Halloween, and the company assured me that they would. The website, at this point in time, guaranteed shipment for Halloween for customers still ordering! In the end, the costumes didn't arrive until LATE NOVEMBER, and the company would not respond to requests to return the costumes I had purchased and were unable to use. I had to spend additional funds to purchase new Halloween costumes the night before halloween.

Don't do it. They take your money and don't actually fulfill your order OR return your money. The girl "Michelle" will threaten you to stop the dispute with your credit company because the credit card company will take the merchant's word (is what she said).

Never got my costume I emailed them and asked for a refund. They responded and said it would take up to 48 hours and a month later still no refund. This place is a huge scam do not order and waste your time or money!
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. Never received the two costumes I ordered. I placed a dispute with my credit card company and their “customer service” got back to me immediately asking me to cancel dispute and they would refund me my money. I don’t know why I believed them… NEVER PAID ME BACK. Will not respond to my emails. This is a fraudulent company and DO NOT order anything from them. If you do, dispute credit card and do not cancel like me.
They ghosted me
They ghosted me. Ordered 3-4 weeks before Halloween. Website guarantees shipment within 7 business days. Emailed them after that time and they assured me it would arrive by Halloween. Waited another 7 and cancelled my order. No response. A week AFTER Halloween the package shows up on my door. I contact them again about the order having been cancelled and no response. Waste of money.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM COSTUMEPLACE! I ordered from this company and they gave me a delivery date. The product never came in time. I got stuck with trying to make my own and spending more money to make it work. The Cost for the costume was more expensive than other sites. You would think that since its more expense they would send the product on time.
Never buy a mask from these people
Ordered a mask asked for a refund before it shipped. They shipped it anyway. Took 2 weeks to get approval to return at my cost for postage and a month later I still don't have a refund and no one will answer the phone or my emails.
Stay away from this place they are thieves.

Heard nothing from the company after my order confirmation email and then charging my CC.
Decided I needed to call them, couldn’t get through. I emailed them on October 10th to inquire. I received the following response:
“Hello Tiffany,
We have checked with the Shipping Department and we've had a few delays on a good amount of our orders from this vendor. It could take an additional 1-2 weeks for your order to ship. It could be sooner than that, but we wanted to give you a rough estimate. We typically ship within 3-7 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Right now, we are running a little slower than usual. But you will get your order before Halloween. We thank you so much for your patience with us. We will send you a tracking number once your order is being prepared for shipping.

By now my son did not have his costume for a Halloween party on 10/14, but I thought for sure he would get it by Halloween.
4 business days before Halloween I still had not received the costumer so I emailed Costume Place again. I said if you cannot guarantee delivery by 10/30/23 to just process my refund now.
I’m writing this review on BBB on 11/05/2023 because I have NOT received the costume, an email reply or update, and no refund. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will be calling my bank tomorrow morning and reporting a scam. Buyer beware, RUN! You will not get your costume and your child will be disappointed. This business needs to shut down and rethink their customer service.
My favorite part of Anthony’s email is when he says “But you will get your order before Halloween.” Maybe he was talking about 2024 Halloween???

Do not order from them. Placed order on Oct 11. Reached out multiple times for shipping and then to cancel with no response. Then got notice on 10/31 that my order is being shipped. Obviously being received after Halloween. Can not get a hold of anyone for return and refund me. Worst company ever.
Well, they didn’t lie…
The website stated all Halloween orders must be received by 10/17 in order to be received by Halloween. I ordered my item on October 13th and it arrived at 4pm on 10/31. Other than the nail biter delivery and the extreme lack of communication through email or multiple phone calls, I’m just very glad we received our order. If you’re ordering from this company and need it in a hurry, I wouldn’t recommend the stress that comes along with wondering if your purchase will actually make it in time. Give yourself plenty of time and don’t expect any responses from their customer service. Otherwise, 3 stars

I ordered a costume on September 23rd, 2023. The costume never shipped. I contacted the company multiple times, asking for updates. At first I was told October 27th would be the latest the costume would arrive. It never shipped. I contacted them two more times and was finally contacted this morning, on Halloween, at 12:20am, asking if I wanted to cancel my order, as it would not arrive until after Halloween (no sh.t Sherlock).
To say I'm disappointed and slightly outraged is an understatement. 5 weeks to ship a costume when the website says 7 days to ship is, well, ridiculous.
If you don't have it in stock, don't advertise it.
I hope these reviews are read by more people before they order from Costume Place. I wish I had read reviews first.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered the costumes on 8/30 and their website said the orders are shipped out in 5 days. I tried multiple times to contact them because I had not received the order and needed them by 9/23. I received no response, so finally I ordered the costumes somewhere else because my 9/20 I had gotten one email in return stating my order was being shipped soon… but received no shipping email or number. I made requests via email on 9/12, 9/15, 9/18, 9/21, 9/24 and 9/27 for them to cancel the order and refund me. No response. I have now requested to be refunded another 5 times and NO RESPONSE. These people are crooks. Do not order from them.
