perfect table cloths for my christmas tabel,
Great customer advise for my special shaped tabel. i will most definatly order again
My expensive tablecloth from Cottona was a bit of a disaster, I'm afraid. I ordered a bespoke, white linen, round tablecloth in August 2022. It cost Euros 253.31. At first glance, the quality didn't quite match the high price, as the weave was not as fine as I had imagined. However, the colour and size were fine, it touched the ground nicely all round and it looked OK when the table was dressed for our first dinner party. However, it came back from its first launder (at a highly-reputed launderer) terribly badly shrunk and had gone from 'round' to a very irregular 'oval'. It had lost its round shape and looked awful - as I say, after its first launder. It wasn't a regular shrinkage either, but went up and down like a rollercoaster instead of touching the floor as before. Since it was now totally unusable after one dinner party (apart from chopping it down to fit a much, much smaller table), I contacted Cottona France from whence I had bought it. I asked why it had shrunk so irregularly and why it hadn't been preshrunk before being cut to size? Despite my sending detailed photographs of the mess that was now my tablecloth, their answer was to offer me 30% off my next purchase! Who would want to spent a further large sum of money when so hugely disappointed with their first purchase? They also recommended that next time I buy a Teflon-coated tablecloth from them instead of linen to avoid laundering. This makes me wonder why they are selling linen ones in the first place?
The quality of their product was poor and their after-service, I'm sorry to say, not much better.
Don't believe the hype & glamorous photographs on their website. The reality is very different. A poor-quality, expensive product, which I greatly regret buying.
The tablecloth reduced with more than 10% (!) after 1 rinse with cold water. Cottona denies all responsibility. The customer service is not customer-centric nor honest! It is a disgrace. I will never buy from this company ever again.
Good website and clear description of how to order a custom tablecloth. The delivery was smooth, in a well-fitting box without excess packaging material.
The tablecloth for our oval table is beautifully made. The size is perfect. Beautiful fabric and color. In short, very satisfied!
You can buy their products, but they never arrive !
It’s been one month and still no news.
And absolutely no answer from them despite many emails.
How will I get my money back ??
Ordered three white cotton table cloths; two rectangular and one round. Delighted with the quality and weight of the material. Would use again.
I had a tablecloth made a bespoke size by Cottona using their online samples as my guide to colour and material. The tablecloth that arrived was nothing like the online sample it was brown not blue and thin, not the thick weave shown ( obviously I realise now that the online sample was misleadingly zoomed in). When I complained about this very expensive mistake they showed me 2 more brown material samples, even though I sent them photographs of their own online sample ( looking blue) against my actual curtains ( perfect match) and the awful brown tablecloth they actually sent next to both. This clearly demonstrated that any brown tablecloth looked totally wrong against the blue curtains I had matched to their sample. Cottona never once addressed the issue that the online sample didn’t match what I was sent and pointed instead to their small print saying I couldn’t even get a refund. Terrible product, worse customer service and very expensive. Avoid at all cost.
