Beware of so called till issues in cafe
Visited this week and ordered a snack in the cafe. Staff stated card had not gone through their till, yet it was not showing declined . Paid again by cash, though I found it concerning . Yep as I thought card had been accepted and payment had been made now twice .
Had to waste time and petrol returning for a refund. This is the 2nd time there have been issues. Won't be using again . Customer service is atrocious

Placed an order for an item which was advertised as available for online delivery. The item price was held as a pending transaction on my account. Then another transaction was also held for the item price plus £5.99 delivery. I then received an email stating the item is no longer available. Still advertised online. They have re-credited the item price of £78.41 (5-7 days for the credit to arrive) the delivery charge has not been returned + I still have a random £84.40 + a second £78.41 pending. So right now they have £162.81 plus the original purchase amount of £78.41 (still pending) of my money, no item to send and I have nothing but the hassle of correcting the repayment issue. Both the retailer and PayPal are blaming each other. Awful experience!

I have put a some battery operated lights in and it looks stunning. Have also tried an artificial cathedral candle in it and looks perfect. Delighted with my purchase. Thank you

ive been a customer for over 25 years, and have received the worst customer service from country baskets , it saddens me to leave such a negative review , but im honestly gob smacked at the poor service and attitude, i think they prefer the general public popping in for a few bits rather than the florists who buy in bulk taking up there time .... so sad : ( and im quite upset about the whole experience

Awful customer service. I ordered 6 vases and 2 were completely smashed. It looked like they'd been badly packaged. 7 emails and two weeks later and the issue has only been partly resolved. They don't answer emails or keep asking for the same photos repeatedly. Its experiences like this that keep people using Amazon.
Terrible poor goods
Terrible poor goods! I spent almost £100 on artificial plants which only lasted a few months and they fell apart. Emailed them but they said there is nothing they can do and no refunds. You expect Artificial plants to last longer than real ones. Very dissapointed and wont buy again.

Went to country baskets Glasgow for the first time yesterday and went to the toilets I was shocked by the state they were in. Toilet rolls spread over the floor and excrement all up pan, shocking sight to see first thing in the morning

Awful attitude of staff
Awful attitude of staff, at the Astley store. The manager was just as bad! Beyond rude. When I complained to the manager about how rude a member of staff was, she stated ‘I find that hard to believe’ followed by ‘what do you want me to do about it’ not the response or attitude a manager should give. I’ll never go back which is a shame as they have lovely products. I suggest you all take a course on people skills, not to mention put items in the right places so customers know the price of items before getting a shock at the till!!
No refunds or exchanges even on faulty goods
Firstly it's worth saying there's good stuff on sale here. So 2 stars. Sadly that's where the good bit ends. Once you've bought something this place doesn't care one iota about the goods you've purchased. This company will not accept returns of ANY kind - damaged, faulty, unwanted etc. - outside 14 days. I'm unsure how this sits with retail law but Country Baskets operate like no other retailer I know.
We bought a unit which was faulty. We didn't realise this until we tried to get it working just over 2 weeks after we bought it. When we went back the staff told us there are no returns possible - no matter what the circumstances are - and there is no guarantee or warranty on any goods from Country Baskets unless you return them within 14 days. After that, no matter what the issue is, Country Baskets will not accept it. I asked if I spent several thousand pounds and found on day 15 the goods all stopped working could I bring them back. 'No' was the simple response. This means unless you intend to use your purchase fully in the first 14 days you're on your own. How many shops have this sort of policy?
What I once considered a great place to shop is one I'll now be avoiding.

I have recently opened a salon (within walking distance) & in the last month, have spent a lot of money to help furnish the salon & aimed to use them for seasonal decorations, too.
I tried to return some products today (or exchange or get a credit note) 6/1/24 that were not ‘fit for purpose’ and with a receipt & was told that they don’t do returns & there was nothing more they could do for me. I have now been left with over £100 pounds worth of a product that is no use to me. The man that greeted me in store was rather passive aggressive with his chest puffed out & the response from head office was rather disappointing, also. Considering their website states a 14day return policy is suffice. Very sad.

I was shopping for Christmas lights. She went to get batteries so I could see the different colours. She spent time discussing the options. I was very impressed at the service! I'll be back again! 👍

Visited for the very last time: Sick and tired of having to experience staff who do not seem happy to be working there and it shows! How is this the customers fault? No enthusiasm always the same responses with a stock query of 'no we don't', constant conversations about other staff members whilst you are waiting at the till such and such has had an extra 5 mins for a break or whatever than them..e.t.c...it is too depressing to shop there any longer...have internal issues that need to be resolved and quick...too late for me sadly I have had enough.
Lack of Mr&Mr and Mr&Mrs stock
Hi there. I got married to my husband back on 2016 and became a member to buy items for my wedding and when I got there I was so disappointed and also embarrassed at what little wedding stock yous had with MR&MR and MRS&MRS. I’ve since returned a few weeks ago to find that absolutely nothing has changed in this department. There’s is a demand for it so i just don’t understand why you don’t supply more. All my friends have to go online to find items.
But can I also say how helpful and nice all your staff are.my friend and I have a huge range of MR&MR MRS&MRS and MR&MR products mainly stunning candles for wedding. If you would like to meet and have a look at what we have we would be more that happy to do so.

Absolutely disgusted at the way we were treated,
I got charged for an item i didn’t have so i asked the member of staff who served me to check this, after checking she said i will ring for a refund, then went on her break, i had to go and explain to another member of staff who had no interest at all, i asked to speak to the manager who definitely needs to take a Management Course, not interested didn’t really want to know and walked off pushing a trolley.
I gave all the goods back got a full refund, and will never shop there again.
This Store needs Staff Training and definitely Management Training.
