What a great experience with country fincas. Ian was exceptional was very a helpful person in finding all the necessary information such a darling. Much recommended.
I had the pleasure of looking for and buying a house with Ian, the sales manager at Country Fincas and my experience was completely positive. Ian is punctual, professional and highly knowledgeable about property sales in Spain. He treats both buyers and sellers with respect, clearly explains the process, and answers questions thoroughly.
Throughout our interactions. Ian was patient, approachable, and transparent with all the necessary documents, making the experience smooth and straightforward. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring a fair and transparent process is impressive. I highly recommend Ian to anyone looking to buy or sell property through Country Fincas. Thank you so much Ian!
As a buyer I’ve found Ian, the sales manager at Country Fincas, to be at first very chatty, friendly and charming. However after a while he became disrespectful of both the owners of the property and the buyers. He was tardy, arriving over 20 minutes late to the viewing leaving the poor sellers who couldn’t speak English to try as best they could to show us round their house. He often ignored the sellers or spoke over them when they were trying to tell us something about the house or trees in the garden, preferring to waffle on about the beautiful views. He was evasive when asked about the documents to the property, blaming the sellers for not providing them, when they obviously had (I speak a little Spanish but understand a lot more than I can speak and understood exactly the conversation with them, and their shocked faces when they heard Ian hadn’t got their house papers, which they had given him last summer)
Then he changed tactics and started saying he had to get authorization from owners on a special form, which of course he didn’t have with him, before he could send us copies of the document.
Then he started being condescending towards us and our knowledge of conveyancing and house sales in Spain.
All together an unprofessional and uncomfortable encounter for both the sellers and the buyers.
I don’t know what the rest of the team is like at country fincas, but if you get allocated to Ian run a mile!
He’s an arrogant, condescending, incompetent, disrespectful, little man who does not deserve the commission he gets paid by the sellers. The way he was speaking about them to us, in English so they couldn’t understand, was disrespectful and down right nasty.
Ian has been super helpful right from our initial contact with Country Fincas where others haven't even acknowledged our contact with them. He has driven us around to view properties, given us advice and information on various areas and legal procedures and has put no pressure on us to buy through them. The accomodation provided by Country Fincas is excellent. Would recommend 100%.
Very bad experience with Ian of Country Fincas in Pinoso. Selling a new build house in Pinoso as a resale and pushing customers to pay money next to the official contract. So broker helping the builder with illegal activities. Very aggresive guy. Beware of this scum!!!
Very polite people helped us all the way from the UK!!
We were looking for a property in Pinoso this year and had some dealings with this agency. They said they'd do this and do that and at first we thought they were helpful and friendly. Turns out the promises were just hot air. We weren't too impressed with the service and have since bought from another local agent as a result. They may be good with some people but we didn't have a positive experience and in the end our time was wasted.
Country Fincas, like other estate agents, make their money through taxation upon you the buyer or you the seller. They make their money by answering the phone or sending an email (or buying up property they come across cheap and then selling it for a profit), not from producing anything with their own labour. In that respect, the least they can do is be of real service to people and justify the money they charge simply from bringing buyer and seller together and taking a few photos.
