Don't buy a house of these cowboys

Don't buy a house of these cowboys, countryside/vistry, had nothing but problems. The wrong bung fitted in downstairs toilet left a stale smell in the house, denied it was them and took 6 months to send someone out to see what it was, blamed it on the airflow box in the loft, which they changed, but didn't solve the issue, another 3 months before it was fixed. Leak in the bathroom, leak under the kitchen sink, smoke alarms going off constantly untill replaced, scratches on the windows, windows were murky and not fitted properly, now a leak in the pipes leading to the boiler from the mains....the list goes on. When reported we were made to feel it was our fault. The whole project has the look of an apprentice doing the work.DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYS OFF THESE COWBOYS. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE.

Don'y buy, they're awful!

badly built houses with no accountability from the developer at all. They have completely shafted all the homeowners on our development and none of us are happy. Less than 5 years in and kitchens and bathrooms are coming apart, we're discovering how badly installed things are and how many mistakes were made. It's a nightmare. They have saddled us with a dishonest money-grabbing property management. company (Firstport) who take take take and bill people whenever they feel like it and have constantly tried to raise prices on us. owners are powerless to do anything as we cannot form a governing entity for our won properties because countryside has conveniently retained that right until they finish several other nearby buildings. biggest mistake of my life buying in to this nightmare. Countryside's salespeople lied to us when we purchased too, obfuscating the fact that large parts of the development would be filled with council housing for less than desirable people.. there have been police raids, people walking dangerous looking dogs in a kids playground and leaving dog feces everywhere, cigarette butts everywhere, parking all over the pavements, fly-tipping and more.. (Countryside told different owners all sorts of different stories about who our neighbours would be, the most common story is that it was earmarked for families with kids and one about NHS staff housing too..) there are one or two families with kids, but a lot of young men, with very expensive cars, who come and go at all times of night. This stuff is the tip of the iceberg.. there is so so much wrong.

DO NOT BUY A COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTY
They lie and lie to get you to exchange then you are tied in. Then they keep moving the actually move in completion date and keep moving it and keep moving it. They con you into an early exchange and then nothing
We exchanged in June 2021 - We were meant to move in in October, then December, then March, then May and now we have only just been told that it could be July. This is 13 months since we signed for the house.
Absolutely disgraceful customer service, no apologies, no morals and just a “well we can move the completion date whenever we want to”
We have incurred considerable costs of storage, a years rent, let alone having to keep reapplying for our mortgage. This is causing both emotional and financial hardship.
It would be nice to get a reply from here. but I doubt it very much as their Customer Service and communication skills are non existence
We will be speaking to Watchdog, Property Industry Eye publication, The Consumer Code for Home Builders And The New Homes Ombudsman
