After compared my energy bill I have contacted COVA U. I had a great conversation with AU..... Actually he is such a nice gentleman and help me to sort out all of my questions. Shambles of a company
Shambles of a company. Sent me an estimated bill that was way above what could be possible and then wanted to charge me to come and do an actual meter read to correct it. Wasted over an hour on the phone trying to rectify. Their customer service is abysmal. I’ve left them now and will not return even if they have the cheapest rates.

Beware if you have any solar…
Beware.....If you have any solar credits, this company will NOT pay you the accrued amount. Instead of paying out at the end of a billing cycle, they will hold on to it all until you have actually used enough regular power for it to cover the bill. If you want to leave the company, they will keep any and all amounts that you should have been credited. Take care. This information (9.7 on page 51.) is basically hidden in their massively long retail booklet, which is 62 pages long. Absolute rip-off.
N.B. further to this, we have just received an email stating that they will be doing ZERO solar feed in tariffs... so if you have solar, bad luck.

I've just found out that on page 51, Section 9.7 of the Market-Retail-Booklet_2024_V8.pdf document that CovaU will not transfer or refund any credits for your feed in either at the end of a billing period or at the end of the agreement if we swap to another retailer.
In my view, this locks you into a contract with them until you can offset the credits against energy you buy from them.
This is the section in full:
Solar Credits have no value other than as prescribed in the Agreement, Solar Credits are not transferable and we are not obliged under any circumstances to pay you any amount of money under the terms of the Agreement in respect of Solar Credits.
Any Solar Credits that have been accrued as of the end date of this Agreement terminates, that have not been off set against amounts payable by you under your Market Retail Agreement of Standing Retail Agreement will be extinguished without compensation to you effective upon the termination of this Agreement.

Today I called CovaU with a question regarding my bill. I spoke with Aush. He was very helpful, and thorough. I then asked him about a possible better option for me. He had a quick look and confirmed that there was another plan, with the same rates, but where I would get a slightly higher discount. He then switched it over for me (at my request). The whole call took less than 10mins. Very satisied!

After difficulties signing up on the website I called and the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and made sure all the t's were crossed and i's dotted, unlike my previous supplier who didn't apply my concession discount to the bills, despite having my details.
