My plans for after finishing college were to take the year out to travel and not worry about finding a job. Once I realised this was no longer an option, I found myself struggling with every aspect of job hunting. I was unsure as to which sectors I should start to consider, or which job would be best suited to me. I then decided to begin the application process with Covid Interns and within the same week, they had found a job they thought was best suited to my experience and set up an interview. I have now been working as a finance intern at Sprout for nearly a month and have loved my experience so far. Not only am I expanding my knowledge in finance, but due to the size and culture of the business, I am collaborating with other departments and gaining valuable insights into all aspects of the business. I couldn’t recommend Covid Interns enough for anyone that is currently seeking a new job opportunity.

COVID interns was an absolutely incredible service. As a start-up, we were in need of a digital marketing intern who could help create our online brand and grow it’s presence on both a B2B & B2C side. Thanks to the team at COVID Interns, we were matched up almost instantly with an amazing candidate who we have since offered a full contract after her internship. I couldn’t recommend them anymore, as the hiring process can be so difficult for a growing company, and who you hire is one of the biggest drivers for success in any company.

Paddy was very helpful putting me in touch with Padraic Hayes who ran MyBev. After a quick call with him we set up a meeting where he showed me one of his machines in operation and explained the role and responsibilities expected of me and how he would help me along the way.

Throughout my time as a sales rep for MyBev I had contact with CovidInterns and Padraic to check up on how I was getting on with the job. I really enjoyed my experience as an intern, it was challenging but pushed me out of my comfort zone. I got first hand sales experience and learned how to conduct business with many hotel owners.

Although only in the role for a few months, I was very grateful for the opportunity to have a working experience during the lockdown restrictions and remain on good terms with Padraic and the team at Covid Interns.

During a time of uncertainty, covid interns gave me the opportunity to get some key experience and kick start my career. As a recent graduate the amount positions available were very limited and almost impossible to come by. With the help of covid interns I was put in touch with a software company who were thriving during covid and looking for new young blood.
