Bought my carpet 4 months ago .
Layed on the Friday , the day after (Saturday) I had to go back into the shop .
Carpet was fraying in the doorway and the carpet fitter came on the following Monday to change the door plate .
4 months later (last Monday 22nd of aug) I moved the rug to do something and I noticed the carpet had come away and was shredded near the hearth.
I went to the shop straight away but the shop was shut .
I emailed the shop the same day .
I got no reply .
So I left a review on Google and a photo .
Which they responded too saying they'd sort it !
Clearing the room so another carpet could be layed I saw the shoddy way the carpet had been layed . It looked like it had been cut with an hacksaw.
It was split in many places and the carpet fitter had left the tags in the carpet.
I email cozy carpets again twice sending more photos .
All I got from cozy carpets was a bad attitude and I was told my first email they didn't get because of a problem on their website (rubbish) there was nothing about any technical issue on their website .
The website even thanked me for sending me enquiry.
Then the guy who works there emailed me saying he'd come to inspect my carpet on Wednesday the 31st of August when he was fully aware that my new carpet was being fitted on Tuesday the 30th of August.
Then he says I've done nothing to make any complaint ? Which is a lie as I found the damage less than 2 weeks ago and I reported it to cozy carpets and posted cozy carpets photos of the shoddy lay & I gave them plenty of time to come round and inspect their shoddy work .
Then I'm told the carpet " cowboy " fitter had left .
This is another shop that's your best friend when you are spending your money there .
But when there's a problem they couldn't care less.
Since when has there been a time limit to complain ?
I complained the same day I found the damage .
They took my money ' my carpet was layed rubbish ' they saw the photos ' had ample opertunities to come and inspect the carpet but they couldn't care less .
I've had to replace my carpet because of the cowboy who layed it and cozy carpets couldn't care less . I'll get no joy with them so I'll go to trading standards
