Stolen cars and illegal finances
Cranford motors have been selling stolen cars illegally.
They have also been selling financial services such as warranties and finance illegally since they lost FCA authorisation in October 2023 for unpaid fees and levies.
I urge anyone having issues to contact at puffier.turmoil_0v (at) icloud.com so we can share information and help recover lost costs.
Whether that is finding their insurance provider to claim against or start a class action lawsuit.
Scam artists - avoid!
Sold my daughter a stolen car that has now been seized. Quite how the "finance company" agreed this without doing relevant checks is beyond me!
They appear closed, more like taken the cash and legged it.
Scammers pretending to be corporate.
I bought and sold more than 10 vehicles in 4 different countries. The worst company I ever came across was Cranford Motors in England. These people are thieves masquerading as a corporate structure. They bought my car through exchange and did not pay me for 7 months. Enforcement officers and police do what is necessary, but it takes time. Do your research and buy the vehicle. They do not hesitate to commit crimes and lie. Never buy or sell a vehicle from them.
Would highly recommend this dealership
Would highly recommend this dealership. I bought a 2 series BMW convertible which was in very good condition and sold to me for a very reasonable price. They are very friendly and helpful. Great that they service their cars before you buy them too.

The car I brought soon started going wrong. They didn't want to know. Cost me an extra £3000. I would never recommend this place!!
Bought another car from them this year…
Bought another car from them this year and the service was just as it was with the last car very friendly staff and as helpfull as they could be well pleased will come back again
Excellent service
Just purchased a lovely B Class from Ed, Had a battery issue, it was ordered and delivered and fitted within the hour. Excellent customer service
Really awful customer service and…
Really awful customer service and didn't do what they said they would until it was too late. I bought a car from them in August and as they didn't get the paperwork when the car was traded I have only just got the car. This was after they had told me it would be fine and all sorted in 6 weeks. They were supposed to get a new bonnet latch fitted for when I collected the car in August but have only just got it done after multiple times of chasing. These guys typify the old school used car sales. I have also lost count of the unanswered phone calls and emails that I made to get everything sorted.
I saw a Mini Countryman in February…
I saw a Mini Countryman in February 2023 that needed some bits done before I collected it. I didn’t collect it until 9 March. The bonnet had 3 small circles of paint missing that they said they would fix. When I collected the car these had been done but within a couple of weeks had returned. Tried calling and left messages but no response. I had the bonnet resprayed at a cost of £300 as rust was starting on the paint work and I didn’t want it to spread. A couple of weeks later a local mechanic told me my timing chain needs looking at. I took it to an independent mini specialist who told me it needed replacing. I contacted Cranford Motors who said it wasn’t like it when it was sold however the specialist said it would have been like that for sometime. I was quoted £1500 to £2000. Cranford Motors are not willing to reimburse me for the bonnet nor are they willing to accept that the timing chain was knackered when I bought it. Well now it’s snapped and the damage could cost more than I paid for the car. I wish I’d never had any dealings with Cranford Motors. Beware before buying from them especially if you are female.
Just beware and ask questions.
I have been seriously ill and had major surgery and on a cancer pathway. I needed a car to go back n forth to hospital. Purchase a car and within weeks in was back with them. Purchased end of July 2023 and they have had it back and still have it.
They made an appointment for the car to be looked at by a main dealership but delayed paying the dealerships bill so made me wait for two days. Dealership wouldn’t give me back the car until Cranford paid their invoice.
Lent me two loan cars one had an engine management light on within a day of borrowing it. I took it back to them as I had to go to appointment to see my hospital consultant so needed my car back dare not drive that loan car that far. Asked for refund they reeled out a second loan car it was out of service by 18 months and had suspension issues I ended up having to purchase a new tyre for their car! (Both these loan cars on their forecourt for sale)
Finally told to go to meet the owner and Ross salesman today. Turned up and neither of them there. Ross told me to come to garage today knowing it was his day off. Got a taxis to take me home at my cost.
However, they have finally offered an exceptible exchange vehicle and given it an MOT. Just should have offered it earlier and not delayed an alternative.
Just do your home work, check MOT records and service history ask them questions about the vehicle first.
Shame on you treating a customer so badly, especially one so unwell. Leaving it until last minute to offer a solution.
Great service from the new team
Great service from the new team. New mechanics easygoing happy to look at any issues
Great service and very easy to deal…
Great service and very easy to deal with! Brought me second car from them
And both been Fantastic! I live local and looked at cars within a hour radius of where we live and this garage was by far the best
Purchased two cars from them on the…
Purchased two cars from them on the same day, had problems with one of them since the day we got it. Kept getting told it was fine etc, year later and trying to get rid of the car have now found out there is a mileage discrepancy even though this wasn’t mentioned when purchasing and website states HPI clear.
I’ve been trying to contact them for a couple of days now, left voicemails and no one is answering or returning my call.
Recommend doing a check on the car if purchasing from this garage!
Excellent customer service. Superb attention to detail.
I first bought the car from Cranfield in 2021 at a reasonable price when I didn't really know what I wanted.
After trawling the web I saw this Mercedes which had some flaws but just tyres and body blemishes.
I took this back in a few days ago with the new manager advising me to see Carl at the body shop.
The car I received today looked as it came straight out of the factory and polished with Ostrich feathers.
Amazing job Carl. Thank-you.
It's rare for me to write a review other than a bad experience but the 5 stars are more than deserved.
Business has re vamped!
We saw a car we liked here but we were concerned about the reviews. After a conversation with the Manager we were immediately reassured as changes had happened including previous staff. We received excellent service, firstly we viewed the car alone, so no sales pitch. After a couple of issues we saw, they were rectified immediately without any hassle. When the car was ready, it was checked and fully valeted. We bought the car on finance which was sorted out at a very low intetest and they helped us with queries we had about the payments etc. They also sorted the road tax online, which we we paid for on the day of collection.
Please don't be put off by previous comments, small businesses deserve a second chance. Would definitely buy another car from them now as they have proved their reputation to be very good.
Do not buy
Brought a car they had it 2 months in the first 4 months and when came back full of dents and scratches
Avoid
Avoid! Dodgy salesmen. Don't give a s*** after they've got your money.
Awful dealer
Awful dealer, full of the typical car sales pitch. Found out after purchasing none of it was correct. Promised full service history receipts, still waiting for them. Full valet also promised, it never happened car smelt of dogs and was still dirty when we picked it up. Was put through an MOT came back with no advisories, but it need new brake pads, air intake was not even attached. We were told that they had checked it over before we picked it up. They picked it up to get things corrected, but it sat at the garage they had dropped it off at because they owed them money. Spoke to the people they purchased it from and it was a private sale not a trade in as told in the sales speech. When we rang the garage to find out what was happening Jaime told us Pat had spoken to them, but Pat had told us Jaime was on the phone to them when we rang. Spoke to the garage they had taken the car too and neither of them had called. AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS.
