Getting a screening for a new role turned into a nightmare. They don't even know the intricacies of the process that they are handling, I had to explain to them what information they needed as they were completely unaware. It is quite concerning that a company like this is handling someone's personal information, when they have absolutely no idea of the underlining requirements of the checks, needless to say that my time has been wasted significantly.

Still going through the screening process - they are getting so many things wrong .

Used Credence to obtain my PVG through Disclosure Scotland to enable me to start my job, Credence would allow me to share my PVG with my workplace once it had came through, DS had processed my PVG in no more than 2 weeks, however, the whole process with Credence has been over 2 months with my workplace still not being able to view my PVG, lucky I had recently had a DBS done and they allowed me to start with approval from the CQC, if I hadn’t I’d still be waiting to start my job. I will not be using them again, I will apply directly to Disclosure Scotland.

I'm not sure how they can be so bad.. I've been waiting over 6 weeks now, and have been asked for the same document 4 times, this was uploaded to their portal originally and emailed across 4 times!

Seems they never respond to their emails either, instead giving a generic copy and pasted email which is totally off subject.

If I could give 0 stars, I would definitely give it. If you’re expecting a background check from this company, be aware that it could take forever. I answered every single question multiple times and for days during the research process. I don’t understand why they can’t wrap everything up in a single email instead of writing separate ones for each question, wasting people’s time. I truly don’t think they do thorough and careful research. The answers given today seem to be forgotten just moments after they are provided. All in all, it’s exhausting.

1. The agent reviewing my case didn't seem to be a fluent english speaker and almost never responded directly to emails, instead copy and pasting a boilerplate, templated email from somewhere else in response to fairly complex questions.

2. They mixed up my information with other candidates - sending me snippets of emails from other people including their past employer etc.

3. Then they repeatedly asked me for the same documents which I had already sent over weeks before.

4. Perhaps worst of all they were incredibly slow, not responding to emails at all or waiting over a week to reply! They waited right before my new job started to ask me to apply for something that would take months to arrive. I almost just pulled out of the process at that point.

This is a NIGHTMARE. The staff keeps asking for new documents, even though all the required documents are already UPLOADED in the platform. I don’t think they have proper training at all. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. A lot of details could have been asked in a single email, but instead, they chose to spam me with a dozen emails. It’s not efficient at all and a complete waste of my time to respond.

Absolutely shocking service!

They have been asking for the same information multiple times but wording it slightly differently each time, asking for copies of ID multiple times.
Desperately slow when you require information and assistance from them. They are clearly not checking back on previous email chains when sending out information requests. Asking for employment gap reasons when there was no employment gap. It's incredibly frustrating dealing with them. It honestly feels like they are looking into someone else's background and emailing the wrong person.

Secured a contract through my PSC, but needed an urgent BPSS. Sterling service from Tony Cifuentes in initial liaison, and professional and timely screening updates from the analyst Tasmina Chowdury throughout. Credence also have an intuitive dashboard that you can check the status at any time.

I am an applicant for a new job. Terribly slow to respond back to emails, seems like a lack effort on their part to find information they need from previous employments. Asking for information that no one would ever keep (9 pay slips from an employment of 3 years ago). I would suggest you train your agents to be more proactive and contact previous employers yourself as you are the ones being paid to do the background checking.

crap company everything uploaded on their protocol asking, again and again, to forward the same email with documentation slow as dead they think the candidate will do their job also surprised to know after talking with the consultant she has not checked emails crap. i moved with another opportunity they are still doing background checking ....forever.

Brilliant service. Easy to upload documents and results within 24 hours.

This is based on the first time experience. The handholding to be set up as a client was good. Support from the operations is expected to be improved. Since were new to their technology platform, at the initial stage expected better support like detailed email communication till the customer gets accustomed to the platform. Proactive communication about the increate in TAT due to public holidays etc. was missing. This is important when dealing with international clients. Am sure the client expectations & the service delivery will more or less align over a period of time as we continue to work together. All the best!

It was very easy to do and very quick to get a result back. I'm still waiting for DBS checks sent if February from our previous provider

Credence have been brilliant in setting up our employee screening. This was process was new for us but they have guided us through the process perfectly. Emails are responded to promptly and any requests are actioned almost immediately. We cannot recommend them enough!

We have only recently starting using this system so are still trying to find our way around. It is easy to use and set up requests, but the feedback from users are that lots of information is required and they as well as myself were unsure what needed to be sent to who, with mixed emails being issued. I like the notes section and the email function that is issued when additional information is required or a check has been completed. The team and account manager are pleasant and helpful. I'm sure the process will become easier with time.
