I applied for a credit card

I applied for a credit card, was approved and should have received a $150 genius cash credit. I waited several months only to find out they denied it. When asked why they said they have no control over it and that it was up to the bank to decide whether the credit should be approved. Neither the bank or credit card genius gave me an explanation as to why I didn’t receive the genius cash despite meeting every single one of the terms and conditions.

Hey Kevin,

As per our Terms and Conditions, we need to receive a confirmation directly from the bank that the application for the credit card has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash. For most of our customers, we receive this confirmation from the bank automatically. When we don't, manual investigation is required, and we send the customer's information directly to the bank for a manual approval.

We have received confirmation from the bank that the reference number you provided is associated with that application that was not approved. Please check your ticket to make sure you have provided that correct application reference number.

There are various things that the bank needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time cardholder for that card, that the application was started from our site, the correct information was provided, that the application isn't linked to another affiliate partner, among other eligibility criteria. So aside from being approved for the card, there are other application eligibility requirements that the bank considers, and there’s a variety of reasons why an application may not be eligible for GeniusCash.

I didn't have high hopes using this platform, but I was pleasantly surprised. They sent me a $100 e-transfer once my credit card application was approved by Scotia Bank. Will strongly recommend.

This site made it so simple to see…

This site made it so simple to see which card actually earned me the most rewards. The GeniusCash reward was sent directly to me by e-transfer shortly after approval, which is a fantastic bonus I haven't seen elsewhere. I highly recommend creditcardGenius to anyone looking to maximize their wallet's potential with total transparency

Horrible company, do not trust!

Never received my bonus. Followed up so many times, poor communication. And not just me, but my friends too. I asked my friends and they got the EXACT same copy-and-paste email. The company is so cold and brutal. They don't care about their customers.

We strive to deliver GeniusCash to most customers within 30 days of their application date by automatically receiving confirmation from the GeniusCash partner that the application for the product has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash.

Sometimes we don't receive this confirmation from the GeniusCash partner automatically, and a manual investigation is required. To do this, we send your application details directly to the GeniusCash partner. There are various things that the GeniusCash partner and/or the affiliate network needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time card or account holder, that the application was started from our site, etc. Unfortunately, the manual investigation time does depends on the GeniusCash partner and it is outside of our control.

If you haven't received your GeniusCash once it's been 2 weeks since your application date, please make sure to head to your dashboard and create a ticket. This way, we can get your info sent directly to the GeniusCash partner for a manual investigation as soon as possible.
