Slow resolution and dismissive initial response, but rectified eventually

I ordered the DJ Khaled x Crep Protect set directly from Crep Protect and paid for delivery. The product is marketed as display worthy, so I didn’t expect any issues on arrival. Unfortunately, the main box arrived damaged, with one corner badly crushed.

I contacted customer support and was initially offered only a 10% refund, which felt inadequate given that the product wasn’t in the condition advertised. Only after pushing back was I offered a replacement, which required returning the damaged set.

I sent the return the next day using their label, and Royal Mail confirmed it was delivered on 20th January. After that, nothing happened until I chased for an update, at which point I was told the replacement would finally be shipped in a few days. This was disappointing, especially after paying for delivery.

By this stage, the whole process had already taken far longer than it should have. I eventually requested a refund instead, which was processed quickly once I pushed for it. Crep Protect explained the delays were due to staff sickness, but given how fast things moved only after I escalated the issue, it’s hard not to feel that the situation could have been handled much better from the start.

I actually like Crep Protect’s products, which makes this more disappointing. But the amount of time and effort it took to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue has really damaged my confidence in the brand.

Update 27/01 - After posting this review, Crep Protect got in touch with me directly to apologise for how everything played out. I do appreciate them calling and trying to make things right. They offered to send a set free of charge and a discount voucher as a way of making it right.

I’m glad they stepped in and resolved it properly in the end. That said, it still felt like things only really moved once I pushed, which was the frustrating part of the whole experience.

I’ve updated my rating to reflect the outcome, but I’ve left the original review up because it reflects what the process was actually like.
