Our ethnicity estimates are based on genetic matches within recent generations, and in regions with high diversity, results can sometimes appear more generalized to ensure accuracy.

The Advanced Timeline Report is a complimentary, algorithm-based analysis designed to provide insights based on the quality of your DNA sample. To ensure accuracy, the report is only generated when results meet a threshold of at least 80%. In some cases, the sample didn’t meet this threshold, so the report wasn’t generated. This can occasionally happen with certain DNA samples when the analysis is inconclusive.

We understand how much this report means to you, and while it’s inconclusive for now, we plan to update our system in the future. Once the system allows, we can attempt to generate your timeline.

Regarding Raw Data download/upload, we currently do not offer this feature to ensure your DNA information remains private and secure. Many third-party websites accepting raw DNA data may use it for data mining or share it with pharmaceutical companies without explicit consent — something we are committed to protecting our customers from.

That said, providing Raw Data access is one of our future goals. We are working on establishing a secure connection to a reliable DNA database, and once available, we would be happy to notify you. We can add your account to our mailing list so you’re among the first to know when this feature becomes available.

The FTC’s concerns were limited in scope and related to certain sales and marketing practices during our early startup phase—practices that were promptly addressed and discontinued.

Regarding DNA results, our reports provide research-grade estimates of BioGeographical Ancestry by comparing a customer’s DNA to carefully curated reference populations. Because human populations share overlapping genetic histories, results may appear broader or different from expectations, especially when compared across companies that use different databases and methodologies.

We prioritize accuracy over precision. Rather than presenting overly narrow regional labels that may be misleading, we group regions in a way that allows us to maintain an accuracy rate exceeding 90%, which is among the highest standards in the industry.

While your DNA itself does not change, different DNA testing companies use different methodologies. These differences include the algorithms used, the size and composition of reference population databases, the genotyping chip, and the specific genetic markers analyzed to generate ancestry reports. As a result, ancestry estimates may vary between companies.

We understand that it can be difficult to evaluate a service based solely on negative feedback. Like all DNA testing companies, we do receive negative reviews alongside many positive ones. It can be especially challenging when customers have specific expectations about what a DNA ancestry test should reveal.

Please know that all feedback we receive is reviewed and handled with the goal of addressing customer concerns whenever possible. However, we stand by our test results, as our ancestry reports provide research-grade BioGeographical Ancestry estimates with a confidence level exceeding 90%, which is among the highest standards in the market.

Our approach to genealogical testing is highly advanced, utilizing expert-designed patented algorithms and artificial intelligence to generate reports. While no ancestry test can be 100% accurate at all times, our methodology allows us to be highly reliable by analyzing genetic patterns, historical data, and statistical models.

Paternal haplogroups require Y-DNA data, which is only available for individuals with a Y chromosome. In some cases, the paternal haplogroup may not be reportable due to limitations in the sample data or the testing method used, and we understand that being told to test with another company after purchase can feel unfair.
