So, in August 2022 my wife and I started looking into getting a couple of eBikes, luckily Criterion Cycles aren't a million miles away from us, so we went there to have a look not really intending to buy that day. However, the staff there were great, they took us through everything that we would need to know and showed us a couple of bikes that they thought would be a great fit for our needs. There didn't seem to be any point in going to try and look elsewhere, the team at Criterion obviously know their stuff, and you'd travel far to find better or more helpful service, in fact I don't think you actually would. So, we bought the bikes and they've been brilliant, really good fun and all the back up from Criterion has been first class. My recommendation - don't bother looking elsewhere, this is a one stop shop for all your bike needs.

Absolutely perfect - great pre-sales communication/response times (on a sunday!) and then the item was shipped quickly and really well packaged. Couldn't be happier, very happy to recommend this store, exceptional.

Ordered a new Trek road bike. I was kept fully informed immediately after ordering when the bike would be built & delivered. The bike was delivered fully built in there own custom van with even the handlebars in position. I was shown how to use the bike and seat adjusted for me. Outstanding service, many thanks!!

The customer service I've received throughout the purchase of my new E-MTB has been nothing short of perfect!

From the point of order, Richard's communication was clear, attentive and helpful; ensuring that all details were correct before arranging a 30 minute delivery slot around my working hours.

The bike arrived in showroom condition. During the delivery he took the time to fully explain the detail as well as carrying out the final setup, just as you would if you were collecting the bike from shop.

My husband and I had been looking for a couple of bikes for a while but it's been a long time since we've been on a bike (of the non engine variety) and we found trying to find info on e-bikes was a complete minefield. They cost a lot of money and we wanted to make sure we made the right choice. We'd been to several bike shops and just couldn't make up our minds. We decided to pop in to the Edinburgh branch of Criterium cycles one Saturday afternoon and to be honest, I thought it would be yet another instance of me leaving even more confused than before I went in.
We were attended to by Rose and another young lad (sorry, I can't remember the name), both were very knowledgeable and helpful. The young lad took us outside with a test bike and went through the differences and similarities between an e-bike and a standard bike and let us have a shot in a quiet area of the car park. Rose was very helpful in talking us through the features of the bikes, checking stock availability and giving us information on how we could order and there was no hard sell at all which was very refreshing.
When we left we had a look on their website and did a little more research online before placing an order later that night. The whole process was simple to follow.
We received a call three days later (bear in mind the shop was closed for two days of this) to check in and explain the bikes would be built up and then we would be contacted to arrange delivery.
Paul delivered our bikes a couple of days later and went through a very helpful handover, taking time to explain all the aspects of our new bikes to us before leaving.
All in all, I would highly recommend buying a bike from this company. Everyone was so helpful, especially Rose and Paul for their above and beyond customer service that honestly cannot be faulted. I can't wait to get out for a few runs on the bikes and look forward to continued dealings with this company in the future. I am already "window shopping" their website and creating a wish list of accessories.

Involved in service industries for over 50 years; accordingly, I know a good one when I've found one.
This company, not only know their products but they care about their customers; you're not just a number at Criterium, from Paul the boss, Keith at the desk and the Steves in the workshop. They all just go that extra mile, allowing you to do likewise trouble free.

Paul and the team provided super clear and accurate advice that made the massively complicated task of purchasing a new e-bike very simple, for a complete novice.

From the start, Paul and the team helped me with my selection and guided me through the myriad of options. It was very clear, from the start, that Criterium is not in business to sell anything to anyone, they care and help you buy the best bike that works for you, not simply to boost profits.

I would recommend Criterium to everyone, of any ability. They are helpful and care about the quality of their service.

I was initially hesitant about buying a relatively expensive bike from a dealer 250 miles away, but shouldn't have been. Unable to get the bike of my choice locally, I searched online and narrowed it down to a couple of suppliers. I picked up on the positive experience others had posted about Criterium Cycles, and noted that for bikes at a certain price point, they were hand delivered and ready assembled. I placed the order and was soon contacted by Paul to arrange a convenient delivery date which turned out to be only three days after placing the order. Communications were excellent, updating me with a time window of delivery. When Paul arrived I was given a comprehensive and knowledgeable overview of the bike with every feature explained in depth. This standard of personal service is not routinely witnessed these days, and reinforced to me that my money had been well spent.
I may not have to buy another bike for a few years, but if I do, I know where the head for and who to recommend to others who may be searching.

From the first telephone call right through to the delivery to my door by Richard... I couldn't fault these guys in terms of the communication advice and of course setting up my bike prior to delivery so that it was all ready to go.
I couldn't recommend these guys more highly if you are in the market for a new bike or for anything else.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Although in Edinburgh, this is a truly national store. Just over a week after ordering (firstly I was amazed at their stock and they had the bike I wanted), Paul delivered it to my door (in Surrey)! Warm, friendly, and genuine good and trustworthy advice. The bike isn't just 'out the box with handlebars straightened' either. It feels as though it has had a full service, everything checked and tightened, properly setup for my weight and with my choice of pedals. I wish all shops were like this, bike shops or otherwise. I highly recommend.

Having been badly let down by Evans Cycles on a Cycle to Work scheme bike purchase, I turned to Criterium to order a Trek DuoSport bike instead.

Paul and the team were brilliant with the order - making sure I ordered the correct frame size and being totally transparent about stock levels and expected delivery (it would take about 4 weeks).

I was kept notified by email on when my bike would arrive and when it did they had Covid restrictions in place to ensure that when I collected it there would be limited contact with other people.

I was given a thorough overview on the bike when I picked it up and guided to a set of videos that they had produced around caring and maintaining your bike. You also get a 6 week service to ensure everything is working okay and make any fine tweaks.

Great service and I'd definitely recommend them for a Trek bike purchase.

These guys are brilliant. I’d bought a bike online that was poorly set up and they fixed the issues and gave it an all round check to give me peace of mind. I can’t see me going elsewhere for bike servicing now.
The guys in the shop are all polite, extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.
