The process of uploading songs to Crucial Music is NOT user-friendly and so confusion comes into play. It shouldn't be that one has to have a ph.D in order to upload songs into the system to where Crucial Music then rejects said songs on technicalities. Now, I wouldn't know if that's the reason my songs were rejected because I called and no one answered to the phone! I'm having pattern recognition with this because in the 15 years or so I've been a member of Crucial Music, no one has ever answered their phone for customer service. I've also never had a placement by this company, so no, I wouldn't recommend them!

I submitted to originals and two covers. Waited at least three months. Both rejected. One of the originals has been played on BBC Introducing and taken on a non-exclusive basis by four publishers. But not good enough for these so-called industry experts!

I wouldn't waste your time.

It took me a while to get a song into Crucial's catalog as they are one of the most selective companies out there. But once I had a song cataloged, they pitched it to major TV networks, and used my song on a Fox TV prime-time broadcast in 2021. It was the largest payout I've ever received as a songwriter so I'm super-happy with them. Still trying for more! A+ in my book.
