While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. We recognise we may not catch everything, and you can flag anything you think we may have missed. Read more

Written by the company

Cruise Star is a social cruise app built for people who love cruising. Cruisers use it to rate and review cruise ships, keep a log of their sailings, and meet the people they will actually be sailing with. Inside the app you can join a roll call chat for your exact sailing, browse ship ratings and reviews from real passengers, and follow cruise deals with a full daily price history shown before you book, so you can see whether a fare is actually a good price. The Cruise Star website adds a daily cruise news journal and free planning tools, including a drink package calculator, a packing checklist, a port day planner, and a cruise price calculator. Cruise Star started as an indie project by a young Canadian cruiser who wanted one home for a cruise community that was scattered across dozens of Facebook groups and forums. It is free to use on iOS, Android, and the web, and new features are shaped by what cruisers ask for inside the app. We read the feedback shared here and use it to decide what to build next. If you have rated a ship, joined a roll call, followed a deal, or used one of the free tools, we would love to hear how it went, so we can keep making Cruise Star better for the next cruiser.
