Finished setting up the tag and they took £9.00 from my account which I wasn’t expecting as I thought you have an option to subscribe later. Went to cancel & they say type in a verification code to get access to the website in order to cancel. The verification code never arrives. Feels like a disingenuous site, deliberately unclear and difficult to get your money back. I’m fuming & will be trying to warn people about this scam. If they were genuine they would be clear at every step.

Great idea but not free. My tags arrived & I set up yesterday. I then received an automatic message from my bank that £12 had been deducted from my account, which wasn’t clear when setting the tags up. This is a monthly subscription fee apparently! I’ve now cancelled my subscription but feel scammed into this, as was not at all clear through the set up process that a fee would have been deducted or that they have stored my banking details!

Crumb has a lot of potential to be something great, however, after I purchased the original tag and got everything set up on the app is when I discovered That just because you purchase the tag and download the app doesn't mean that you're getting 100 percent of the benefits. If you want to be able to use all of benefits you have to pay a monthly subscription which really isn't that expensive however, it would have been nice to know all of that prior to purchasing the tag. I only say that because it would have been nice to have the option and truly know what I was getting right away instead of feeling like I got tricked into thinking I had just found the best backup for our dogs safety, only to be slapped in the face after receiving and getting everything set up on the to find out that there were so many other options but you had to pay a monthly fee in order to use them. Basically, All of the additional things that you have to pay for are things that I thought were included already with the original purchase otherwise, I probably would not have purchased the OR sent out about 1000 referrals for that matter prior to knowing what I was actually getting.

Found an offer for a free tag, seen this before so thought that it looked like a good idea. Got to the final delivery page and it said £3 postage, not free but was happy to pay it. It also mentioned that the monthly £9 fee was free for a month. Ok will try it out and make a decision later on.
Click on pay and luckily my prepayment card had £6 on it otherwise I would have had to pay £12!!! £3 postage plus paying for a “free” month upfront. That is NOT on.

Paid for the tag and when signing up, without any indication another £9 was automatically taken from my bank account for a subscription I did not agree to. They had stored my bank details and used them again without my consent… looking at other reviews this seems to be a regular complaint from quite a few people. I messaged and got an automated response emailed on Monday asking for a refund still no response. I shall calling my bank tomorrow to inform them of the activity .. deleting the app and account I don’t want anything to do with it now.

I ordered a free tag, paying only for postage, I was not aware there was a subscription attached to the service.
I notice that there are many people saying it is very underhand the way they are marketing the tag, I think it's one step away from a scam. I never take out subscriptions and if I'd have read that in the advert, I wouldn't have got one in the first place, i went to cancel and it offered me the subscription at half price when it knew i was going to cancel. There were a few things the procedure did and i had to say no to, before it said my subscription was cancelled.

Crumb is advertised as a safety network for your pets. They offer to provide up to 5 free QR code tags if the consumer pays for shipping. What they don't tell you is that your data upon sign up is NOT private, your phone number and full street address are in plain view unless you pay the subscription fee to make them private. As of 2026-06-30 there is no self-service option to delete your account and request a refund for shipping costs. This is a predatory practice that puts pet owners at risk, especially for women.

I would avoid this company and their “free tag” nothing is ever free, which you will find out when registering your tag.

Hidden charges and obviously keep your payment details from when you pay for postage for the tag.

Doesn’t give you the option to opt out of premium when you set up your tag and doesn’t say it will be charging you or that they have kept your payment details illegally as far as I’m concerned.

Our dog lost his tag. Easy process to order the replacement. Thank you Crumb.
