I'm glad I only bought the small…

I'm glad I only bought the small bottles. The bottle is so cheaply made and there is not wrap of any type to seal during shipment. The gel was all inside the shipping envelope. Will not buy again for that reason. I've made that decision before even trying the product.

I think their products are good

I think their products are good, once you figure out what works for your hair. My recent experience with their customer service was very poor. For some reason, a recent order for four products were shipped to my old address. I do not know if it reverted to my old address or what. I contacted them immediately and went through their poor AI response program before I was told someone would contact me. That occurred the next day. Long story short, they essentially told me I could get in touch with the people who live at my old address to arrange getting the shipment. When I told them this was not possible, they essentially said I was out of luck and I spent $87.00 for nothing. They offered me a 15% off to replace all of the products, but this was less than the 25% I purchased them for. Their response was so different from my experience with other companies the few times I have had problems that I can only conclude that they could care less that they would lose a customer of five years that purchases products directly from them of through Ulta. Therefore, am going to purchase other quality brands that have customer service and want to keep their customers.

Horrible horrible horrible!

If I could give -10 stars I would! After using the shampoo and conditioner my hair started coming out in clumps!!:( 2-3 hands full of hair per wash. It came to a point where I have barely any hair left and I now have to use olaplex to somehow restore what is left. My curls are gone too. The hair looks lifeless and dull. It’s so horrible I can’t believe how many good reviews are here. I bought bond curl rehab salve, shampoo and conditioner, volumizing lotion and bouncy volume foam. Now all that and hundreds of $ spent are going into the trash. More importantly: what kind of poisonous chemicals do they use in this stuff to cause hair fall in clumps?? Shocking!

Only purchased once and never again.

I only ever purchased their products once and I can honestly say they were not better than my Sukin hair care range from Holland&Barrett. I had the fragrance free shampoo and conditioner and gel and for the price that I paid I was expecting amazing results, they failed to deliver.

I wouldn't expect a reputable brand to use fragrance in their products especially as if they've added natural oils and butters in there too, surely fragrance is not good for your hair nor skin?

I am not fond of using a multitude of products either i like to keep my haircare simple and minimal.

The overall condition of my hair didn't improve with Curlsmith. I prefer to use fragrance free products and they don't have an large enough range for my liking.

My First Curlsmith Experience

I recently placed an order at Curlsmith.com. I received a tracking link the next day. However, tracking continued to show that USPS had not received the package from the shipper. After a week, I contacted Curlsmith and was told I have to wait at least15 days in order to report a package lost. Turns out, I received my package soon after. The tracking link they initially gave me was incorrect. But, that's not all...

The package invoice said it contained one bottle of Effortless Waves and one bottle of Fragrance Free Gel. But, the package itself contained the bottle of Effortless Waves and a bottle of Fragrance Free Leave in. I had ordered both, but my order was missing the Fragrance Free Gel. The invoice was incorrect regarding the items shipped to me. Through extensive customer service "back and forth" I found out that the Fragrance Free Gel was out of stock. But, I wasn't notified of this. My credit card was charged for all three items, regardless. I also found it extremely frustrating dealing with customer service. Every time I emailed, I received a reply from a different customer service rep. This made it confusing for everyone because I had to repeat what was going on, as I had first a tracking problem and then, a missing item.
Because of this frustration, I asked for a refund for the Fragrance Free Gel instead of waiting for it to go back to being in-stock, just to avoid a disorganized hassle later on down the road. Customer service processed my refund right away, which was a plus.
I did try the Effortless Waves. The smell was intense. And, it wouldn't go away. It lasted overnight! I couldn't sleep because of that awful smell, which was a very weird, chemical odor. I don't think I can bring myself to try it again. I will have to rehome it.
Afterwards, I placed an order at Amazon.com for the Fragrance Free Strong Hold Gel. At least, I can count on Amazon. The price was the same as at Curlsmith.com.
So, that's my first impression of Curlsmith.com and one of its products.
I did learn never to purchase anything at Curlsmith.com. And, I learned that I'm the sensitive sort who has to stick to fragrance free products.

I spent a lot of money on this brand not worth it

I spent a lot of money on this brand, I’m pretty unhappy that the bottles are literally the lowest quality you could imagine. Consider considering this is meant to be a premium brand and they charge a heck of a lot per bottle, I expect a bottle where I don’t have to break my hand to get the product out. I don’t know anyone who would use such a dry crunchy plastic bottle to store incredibly thick conditioner inside. Overall, I don’t find that products work massively well and certainly don’t justify the price point. They do feel a little to exploit to him and I think they should do a lot to bring their price down and their quality up.

The products work very well for me!

I ordered the Vivid Tones Vibrancy Shampoo, the Glow Perfecting Conditioner and the In-Shower Style Fixer (which is a gel) during their Black Friday sale. I really like all 3 of the products. The shampoo makes my hair feel clean, I don't have to use much of the conditioner on my hair, and the gel really holds my very thick hair and gives me great curls.

This is hands down the worst product…

This is hands down the worst product for curly hair. Despite following every recommendation from the Curlsmith quiz, my curls ended up limp, dehydrated, and frizzy. I really regret falling for the hype and wasting my money.

Have been using their curl protein…

Have been using their curl protein cream for years but usually purchase from amazon. I wanted one of their microfibre hair towels that they sell on their website so wnet on there to make a purchase and also saw another product that looked interesting so I added it also (Curl Conditioning Oil In Cream) they arrived next day but I was shock to find the oil in cream was a much smaller size then there usual sized tubes.

Overpriced and missold

I did the hair type quiz and bought the products recommended. My most serious problem is low porosity hair. The shampoo I've overpaid for did not foam up on my hair & left residue just like a cheap one from a supermarket. Very disappointed as the price tag is way too high for such a cheap tacky product.

Very slow service when faster options available

Ordered products from curlsmith over 8 days ago and the tracking (which is only available with an app I didnt want to download) still says the order is 'being prepared' with the only help being through an automated email saying they will respond within 5 days. Meanwhile all the same products are available for next day delivery through amazon.
I would much prefer to order directly through curlsmith themselves, but if even their customer service takes longer to get back to you than another option to deliver the items, its just not worth it.
Products are good, curlsmith website is not - order elsewhere if you can.

Product was never shipped

I (like many other people) ordered products during Curlsmith's Black Friday sale that were never shipped. It has now been over a month and I don't even have a tracking number, I reached out to customer service multiple times and only got one reply saying "not to worry, they've reached out to the warehouse"...that was two weeks ago. I didn't get a response to any emails after that and finally disputed the charge with my credit card. It's a shame because I wanted to support a company directly by buying from them and not a 3rd party, and they completely failed to even fill an order for me. No clue what happened with them on Black Friday, but either they scammed a lot of people or just aren't a functioning business at the moment.

No product delivered no response to any contact

Ordered over three weeks ago. Products have not been delivered. Impossible to get in contact with apart from an auto response stating the order has been received. No guidance on when or if the parcel will be shipped. Unfortunately can not recommend this company at all due to their complete lack of customer service and inability to ship products from their website.

Disappointing Experience with Curl Smith's Customer Service

I recently purchased the Travel Defrizzion Dryer from Curl Smith, hoping it would improve the manageability of my hair. Unfortunately, the product did not meet my expectations, as it didn’t work effectively for my hair type.

I reached out to customer service via email, hoping to return the dryer. However, the response time was extremely slow, leading to frustrating delays in communication. When I finally received a reply, I was informed that I could not return the product because it had been used. This policy was never clearly communicated during the purchase process, which made the situation even more disappointing.

Overall, my experience with both the product and the customer service has been less than satisfactory. The lack of clear communication and delayed responses from Curl Smith has left me frustrated and unlikely to recommend their products in the future.

I am not getting anywhere with trying to trace the large order paid for over 5 weeks ago. I have used the chatbot, received and sent emails, order found. Then nothing to say when it can be delivered. Then when querying next steps, receive another email saying they do not have any information. Yet I have emails from Curlsmith with all of the order details, the email address and proof of purchase. I am about to go to my credit card provider to sort as it seems impossible. Such a shame, great product and my first multiple purchase of a few hundred pounds for a gift that was to be delivered over a month ago and now cannot be found. I have a full email thread of many emails saying found, not found, can you provide an order number with a valid order number in the title of the email. One which says 'We will let you know when it will be available' then nothing. I need the stock delivered or the refund please. hello@curlsmith has already been tried many times.

I really think that I may need to raise this with Trading Standards otherwise. I don't understand why my money, a substantial amount for me - over £200 has not been refunded? Can you assure me that this will be the case promptly? As you are unable to let me know if I will ever get the product delivered to my daughter. What poor service. No present for her.
