I was looking for a bespoke bar for our new summerhouse. Like most folk, I researched LOTS of places, but i kept coming back to the custom wood company. Their stuff just looked so different and so well made!! I read ALL their views and was a wee bit apprehensive about ordering from a company so far away (we are in sunny Glasgow !!) So I emailed and received a reassuring response from Summa, the owner! This was the start of the best communication I've had with any company! I emailed Summa a total of 33 emails!!! Regarding the shape of the bar,the size if i could have the bar customised with personal items. Summa answered every query with honesty and good humour!! I on occasion did not receive a answer immediately !! BUT that's to be expected with a busy company, I never once felt ignored!!
My wait time from 1st email to delivery was 7 weeks.
Delivery was delayed by one week but I was informed of this before hand.
NOW THE BAR,we are so happy with this bespoke GLASGOW RANGERS BAR, it is just what I ordered!! My better half absolutely loves it!!! We will definitely use THE CUSTOM WOOD COMPANY again and 100% recommend this company .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Placed an order for a bar and optics on the June the 1st 2023. Waiting until end of July and chased the order (delivery states 28 days). Was advised it would be despatched the following week. No order received or tracking given. Chased after a week and advised they would investigate. No response. Advised again it would be delivered and then was ghosted for a couple of weeks.

Advised in September it would be delivered on a certain date and had a family member on standby to go and take in the delivery. No delivery and no explanation as to why. Was then advised that they could not get a hold of the courier company and that they had my order. I asked for a refund and they said it was processed. Now 3 weeks down the line and still £385 down. Have now been blocked off of their Facebook after I wrote a comment on one of their posts. Ridiculous company and looks like many others have experienced the same!!!!

I would avoid this company unless you want to be told a bunch of lies and be out of pocket!!!!!!!!

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!!!

A very meaningful resin piece was made for our daughters grave. From start to end the service was second to none. We got to pick every detail, from the colours, to the glitter, to the flowers and the company went to measure the size themselves to make sure it was accurate. It's absolutely perfect. It was everything we wanted and more. Thank you so much.

Great company made me a bespoke Aviary exactly how I asked for it.
The chaps that fitted it were brilliant. Definitely recommend to others.

So pleased with this company, ordered a bespoke bar and its here within 3 weeks, sent the drawing in via email with great communication from the admin team. The bar is great quality and fits perfect and the driver was absolutely lovely, he called 1 hour prior delivery which was great, I would definately reccomend this company.

I ordered a bar and barrel bundle. The company couldn’t do enough for me with all my questions and my order was delivered and I couldn’t be more pleased. Fits perfect !! Love

Ordered a wine barrel and 2 stools in good faith, which failed to arrive when I was told they would. There is no quick reply from this company as no phone number and they take days to reply to messages. They stated my item was out for delivery when it very clearly never was and then advised they could not give me a new delivery date. I requested refund which am still outstanding a month later. Read reviews of their previous company name Sawdust, wish I had never bothered with them.

Absolutely the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. To a point it’s almost laughable. Ordered through FB marketplace and paid. Was sent a delivery date for 2 weeks time. The date arrived..nothing. I sent numerous messages and phoned millions of times before eventually being told I was given the wrong date and it was for the following week. Fine, mistakes happen. Following week comes..nothing. Another bombardment of messages and a threat to contact the police and I get a reply. The barrels haven’t even been delivered to them although I was promised delivery that day..they had no barrels. Again, no communication from Summa or the company it had to come from me constantly pesting to get an answer. Then I’m told two more days and I’ll have them..I didn’t. Finally after 3 weeks of waiting they arrive..only to not have the custom logo scorched onto the tables that we specifically paid for and the reason we went with this company..now I have had no reply about a refund for the logo payment and am left just utterly shocked at how disgusting her customer service is. The only good experience I had was from the delivery driver Kieron. What a gent. No one wants to explain anything to anyone, you get replied to when convenient (which isn’t often) you get fed lies and kept waiting with no communication or explanation unless you keep on texting or calling or emailing..absolutely shocking. I was offered a refund for delivery..not had that either. Shocking doesn’t even begin to cover it. Would be a fantastic company if she bothered explaining and contacting her customers..and actually delivering the right product after treating them so terribly. Awful. Worst company out there. I’m honestly dumbfounded by the whole thing how this company is still going. I agree with the other review about contacting trading standards. Someone needs to do something. Just contact your customers and keep them in the loop, heard of communication? This company hasn’t.

Ordered 1 June - was told 21 days and its now mid August and still no bar. Did have good communication up until 2 weeks ago via Facebook live chat but now Summa is ignoring all messages and email. Her last message on 28 July offered delivery for following Tuesday, nothing arrived and has not responded to a message since.

Lesson: Never order from websites WITHOUT a phone number.

Will be reporting to Trading Standards in a few days if this last cry for attention is ignored.

UPDATE - It is now November and I have no bar OR refund. This company is a scam and should be shut down.

Love my bar great communication arrived on the day they promised can’t fault

I'm trying to load a picture of the woefully pile of firewood left after the bar collapsed after only 2 to 3 months of light use.
I was refused to return even though it was obviously not fit for purpose.
I found a local woodworker who said he would fix for £75.
I offered this choice to the supplier who eventually agreed they would pay £60 towards this.
I reluctantly agreed but the after chasing for a month now have still received no monies.
I really do wish I could post a pic of the terrible product.

Ordered Premium L shaped bar with two stools on Sunday. The items were delivered on Tuesday. Excellent service and well made products. Highly recommend

Delighted with our recently purchased bar. Communication from the company from start to finish was excellent and all my queries were answered the same day. Delivery day was provided a week in advance and delivered in time as promised.

Was expecting my bar to arrive in six weeks,it came in two,top quality quick service,very pleased with it,just in time for the football season.highly recommended.

I ordered a bar and barrel table was told it would all arrive at the same time only for my bar to arrive no table was told they had no barrels and it would be with me the following week never turned up and no confirmation or communication from the company till I emailed them when I was told were having problems getting hold of some barrels and they would contact me as soon as they got some I left it another week still no table so I contacted them again and was told the barrels would be there that week and they would once again contact me when it's ready for delivery....another week and still nothing so I contacted them again and was told it will be delivered on 24th July didn't turn up so I had the guys number that delivered the bar as he texted to say what time it would come I texted him and asked what times my table arriving to be told it won't be today as he's not working I was fuming got back hold of them through email and she said I had miss communication with the dates no I have the email infant of me clearly saying 24th July....so the next delivery date I was given was the 28th and that they were sorry for any inconvenience and I would receive a partial refund....the table did turn up on the Friday finally but as for the refund I ain't seen a penny and there ignoring all my emails ....so nope I don't recommend this company!

Great quality product at an acceptable price, transaction went through smoothly so one happy customer here, would not hesitate to recommend !

My experience was exactly the same as the other awful reviews where do I start received my order which was dreadful and not as we agreed it would be and terrible quality there is a difference between rustic and rubbish the bar seats fell off in my hand the bar stools have all different leg lengths so completely wobbly they agreed to replace but were given 2 different dates then we were offered a refund and a date to be picked up the delivery driver brought a replacement bar which wasn’t agreed and no replacement stools unbelievable now we have a bar with a bowed top wobbly bar stools which are now a different colour to the bar and with 2 different colour seats and unattached my husband has emailed the owner of the company but for some reason she never actually answers the question she is asked and takes days to reply we asked her for the number for the ombudsman and now she won’t reply at all no phone number to contact so not sure where to turn as we are exasperated with the weird reply’s we get from our emails just going round in circles seems they have our money now she just fobs us off hoping we will go away dreadful actually NO customer service avoid this company

The team was professional, efficient, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them! The cocktail bar, barrel table and chairs were manufactured to the highest standard and will certainly order from these guys again in the future.

Responses to my emails were quick.
The bar I bought is lovely and exactly what I wanted.
I recieved value for money and would use this company again and definitely reccomend them.
My only problem is that, sometimes it's helpful and reassuring to talk to people over the phone.
The delivery driver was Keiron.
He was lovely and polite.
