I used CVMaker to create a CV for my brother. I paid €1.99 as what I understood to be a one-time fee. No subscription terms were clearly presented at the point of payment.
What followed was a mess. My brother started receiving invoices for €19.99/month — despite never having visited the site, never having registered, and never having agreed to anything. How did they get his email? They extracted it from the CV document I uploaded. They then automatically created an account in his name, complete with a system-generated password, and started billing him.
When we contacted support, they told us they "don't create accounts automatically." We have their own automated welcome email with his login credentials sitting in our inbox. So that was a lie.
They cancelled the subscription after we pushed back, but continued demanding payment for two unpaid months — and refused to delete his data unless we paid first. That's not how GDPR works. Avoid them!

It's a scam. It can't be legal to use the information (email address) from the created cv against one!! my nephew made a CV, used my PayPal to pay. They created a subscription with his email and my pay method!! Had no idea they can do it! Couldn't cancel on the web page since there was no subscription with my email there and I had no idea they used his!! My nephew didn't get a subscription confirmation e-mail but I have been charged 19,99 after 15day trial!!! Eventually I managed to cancel via their customer support but no refund. What I did? Went to my bank and contacted PayPal- I got my money back today. Took only 48 hours. CONTACT YOUR BANK FOLKS and stay away from cvmaker.hr, cvmaker.nl, cvmaker. pl... It is a scam network

Cv offer- 2,00 eur.
Then they subscribe you without asking and charge 20,00 eur without your permission, via Paypal.
When you make a complaint, they cancel subscription but don't return money.
So, in total. 24,00 eur for one CV.
Which you could have written in Word anyway.

Napišeš Cv, cijena 2,00 eur. Pretplate te bez da te pitaju i naplate 20,00 eur bez tvoje dozvole. Putem Paypala.
Kad reklamiraš, otkažu pretplatu ali novac ne vraćaju jer to nije politika njihovog poslovanja.
Znaci u totalu 24.00 eur za par rečenica koje ste mogli napisati u Wordu.

Looks like your CV is only 2 euros and then they charge you 20 euros monthly.

They are scammers with charging.
Dont use them.

If you happen to use this website for making a CV, it's not bad. It's a rather easy experience.

However, upon finalising your CV, you will be prompted to pay 1.99 eur for completion of your CV.
This by itself is fine, I'm not complaining about prices here.

What I am complaining about, is in fact, that upon realising that payment, the website will automatically create an account for you.
This means that through that account, if you weren't reading too much into it, they will be charging your card 19.99 eur monthly.
How? Because you will have an active account on their website, which means you will have paid access to all their services, along with the one CV you made, too.

So if you found yourself paying for that CV, immediately delete the account, or you will be charged 19.99 eur monthly for something you're definitely going to forget about.
