IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE… DON’T GO HERE!!!
Don’t come to CHINO VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER if you are sick, in pain, on regular prescribed medications or ever think you’ll see your doctor. Because they only will rule out obvious things but never treat what the issue is, anything you say to staff is not communicated or documented correctly, medication you bring in and have approved by pharmacy will never be given to you. Old records are not updated to current status. They don’t even ask. You never see your doctor. the wrong doctors are sent in for things that have nothing to do with your complaint. They don’t even put you chief complaint in correctly. They put whatever they assume. Don’t expect water if you are thirsty because no one comes when you page the nurse. They tell you don’t go to the restroom unless you call for assistance. what assistance?! I wobbled to the bathroom with a fall risk armband every time. Abnormal labs are not addressed. I can’t eat and I don’t why, but that’s not addressed. Medication that prevents serious problems… including seizures?..don’t count on getting those. If you call 911, ask for another hospital. Once you get stuck here with no care they won’t transfer you upon request. They say if they can take care of you then they don’t do lateral transfers. But they don’t take of you. If you get stuck here the only way to get help is to stand at the nurses station about to pass out and ask the charge nurse to call your doctor to discharge you. Then expect a long wait at the nurses station; don’t leave or they won’t follow up. Document everything. Watch them document what you say to make sure it’s there. When the dr finally responds and agrees to discharge you. Expect another long wait. While waiting ask for your personal medication, ask to have IV’s removed. And pack your belongings. The doctor will show up and pretend that everything has been cleared healthwise. But again not everything will even get addressed or looked into during your stay. So don’t forget that the doctors first visit is on discharge and they will lie about your health being cleared. Just get out. Send documentation to the medical board under their license for neglect. If you have any background in mental health treatment, even if it’s been established as misdiagnosis and resolved. They will dismiss everything you say, everything you feel. If you get frustrated and angry at their lack of care, expect them to call psych. Even if you are bleeding out they will call psych to make sure it’s not ketchup. A one time misdiagnosis will be with you forever. Once they see you as a “psych patient”, even if you’re doing well, working full time in a professional field, and have gotten past that, you still are not allowed to have emotions. Trying to explain anything to anyone there is not worth the effort because they just walk out mid sentence. If you start out being patient and polite nothing gets done. As your frustration escalates they refuse to listen at all. I was there 3days without given my medication. Telling them what you take, dosages, times…doesn’t matter. Don’t waste your breath. Just get out and go elsewhere. I had to leave 1star to write this but they don’t deserve one star. Abnormal labs indicating serious concerns about my liver and kidneys were never addressed. Of the scheduled medication they had only four were correct (only 2 were given) and one of those four was the wrong dose and not given regularly. 3 medications I gave them bottles of were never ordered or documented. 3 other medications I take I ended up not even bothering to request because I knew I wouldn’t get them either. Staff is rude and incompetent..And don’t respond when you ask a question. They just dismiss you, or lie and say they will take care of it but they don’t… just a dismissive tactic to leave. . They say they will tell the next nurse but the next nurse never get any message. “I just got here and I don’t know anything about that”, the cycle repeats. This place is a nightmare. Nurses don’t know what they are doing. I am a nurse. So I am not speaking out of ignorance. CVMC…Autogenerated responses to negative reviews mean nothing. Don’t bother.
