They don't care
Everything is wrong with this company and Texas healthcare system. They don't communicate at all. My medication was delivered last week which I've been trying to get approved for since April and I'm still waiting for a nurse to call and schedule an appointment and mind you it is now August. The nurse I was assigned to called today and said sorry but I'll be out next week so they're going to assign you a new nurse. They should contact you by end of day and I'm sure they won't so I'll be calling next week. At this point I'm tempted to just start it on my on and pray for the best because at this point I may be dead before I get a nurse appointment. Avoid this pharmacy if at all possible.
CVS pharmacy customer service is so…
CVS pharmacy customer service is so terrible I feel it's literally dangerous to patients.
I have dealt with CVS specialties…
I have dealt with CVS specialties pharmacy for 2 years now. They fill my prescription then they bill Spravato with me using the wrong codes so my discount company rejects it and I get charged $100 instead of my $20. They bill for more than they should be in a 24 day time so it gets kicked back to me for $100. CVS is horrible, it’s not rocket science but they are NO HELP! They were supposed to rebuild discount company so I would get a credit for the $100 I was charged.
ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE......MEDS…
ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE......MEDS DELAYED.....BLAMES ME FOR WHAT THEY TOLD ME TO DO.....NOT RECOMMENDED
Tried to pay my husband's 4k bill
Tried to pay my husband's 4k bill. They told me my husband just needs to call and give me authorization to speak on his account. He called and gave authorization. I called them back and they said that we both on to be on the phone at the same time due to HIPPA concerns. What is the freaking purpose of that?! Why would he need to call and authorize if he has to be on the phone. The whole point want to make this easier on my husband, since he travels for work. And what random person is going to call and pay 4k on someone else's bill just for the heck of it!? Make it make sense. Literally hung up on that lady. Because clearly they dont care to get paid.
CVS Specialty can't ship on time
CVS Specialty repeatedly repeatedly ships my overnight medicine on a Friday, but they don't get the package to UPS until after 6pm, so then it isn't delivered on Saturday as promised which means it doesn't come until Monday -- leading me to miss a dose. This has happened MULTIPLE times. They "create a label" earlier in the day, but transfer the package until it's too late. The medicine needs to be refrigerated, I hope UPS is doing that while it sits around all weekend ... I only use CVS Specialty because I am forced to; my employer only offers CVS Caremark as a choice for our prescription insurance benefit, and Caremark dictates that we use CVS Specialty for any "specialty" prescriptions ... and here I thought monopolies were illegal?
Can CVS and CVS Specialty please talk to each other!!
I recently received a refill on a prescription that was previously refilled by CVS health retail pharmacy; however, with the most recent refill the prescription was sent to CVS Specialty pharmacy. The refill order was first listed on my CVS Health app and sat there for a day saying "the pharmacy is working on the order" and then disappears and now I found out it was sent to CVS specialty. I'm not sure why this changed. But, because the refill was going back and forth and NOT filled by anyone (because CVS specialty requires you to call them to initiate the refill sent by your physician) so this is the second day that I am without this medication. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my insurance company or not; but the fact that CVS retail pharmacy and CVS specialty pharmacy don't talk to each other and don't communicate with consumers is VERY frustrating for the consumer (oh and their AI chats are the worst!). How can a company with BILLIONS in profits create a customer experience that is so awful? Communicating with consumers when CVS retail pharmacy isn't going to refill the prescription and that one needs to reach out to CVS specialty when a prescription is transferred to even just explain what is happening would be MUCH appreciated and good customer service.
The constant changing of covered…
The constant changing of covered formulated medication has left me with out my teraparatide for over a month while seeking prior authorization. They have denied it, although I have been taking it for a year, now it is being apealed, which take them two weeks to complete. Why? They say they are changing the drug coverage to pass along the savings to their customers. Really? They took Stelara off their covered list and now are pushing Yesintek, which has a horrible co pay plan, capped at $2000 a year/$900 per order. So, this will cost me an additional $3000+ a year. Thank you CVS Speciatly Pahrmacy for looking out for your customers. Your plan sucks, your customer service sucks and so do your policies. If I could switch my prescription coverage today, I would. CVS SP is not looking out for their customers that need life saving drugs, they are only looking at what is best for them. If you have to use CVS SP, I am sorry for you, if you have a choice run away as fast as possible.
I do not get my medication literally half the time
This pharmacy is the near sole reason I do not receive the bare minimum doses of medications for two out of four weeks a month. Any holiday nearly guarantees I will not have medication for the whole following week.
While they have worked with me time to time to have medication filled, it requires hours of escalation with no guarantee. Truly awful. This is the only speciality pharmacy my insurance allows as well. Do not use them if you have any other option.
Absolute worst company experience ever
Absolute worst company experience ever. Their leadership knows we have ZERO choice but to jump through the myriad of hoops until they deem themselves ready to fill our rx or we walk away from the whole thing. Being Specialty, these are drugs we NEED to sustain life or give us a semblance of normality. I have been two weeks without mine through no fault of mine (husband’s company was bought out and we had to start a new plan and pay new, increased deductibles and out of pocket (13.5k.) I have been on the phone with them multiple times (over 30 minutes each) a day for two weeks. My doctor has sent rx after rx for a drug I’ve already been taking when all along they just needed to call Optum to transfer it. Finally had a pharmacist take pity on me yesterday and call Optum (ty Juan!) Now they won’t fill because of some billing issue with the copay assistance. Was supposed to get it yesterday, then today, now next week. Not one person gives the same answer but they are all SO happy you called CVS Specialty (did I have a choice?) Three weeks, no medicine now. Had to get 5 cortisone shots yesterday just to use my hands. These practices should be illegal! Three years til Medicare. Let’s hope I make it.
I am on a biologic response modifier or…
I am on a biologic response modifier or MAB. Like Insulin, these drugs must be REFRIGERATED until use, to remain effective. If a refrigerated temperature is not maintained the active proteins in the therapy denature and the drug becomes literal water.
I ordered a refill of my Simponi from CVS Specialty Pharmacy on the 3th for June via the app. I know to order it at least two weeks before I need the injection.
Last week I checked on the medication in store. I was told it was "in transit". Yesterday I checked on both in store and online. I was horrified to learn that my medication is on a UPS truck somewhere in NEVADA, and has been for over a week. UPS does NOT have air conditioned trucks, let alone refrigerated trucks. The UPS website states if you are shipping something that must remain refrigerated, you had best pack it in dry ice and ship it UPS AIR.
THERE IS NO ICE PACK OR BLOCK OF DRY ICE THAT WILL LAST TWO WEEKS IN THE DESERT. Which means if this medication shipment is eventually, if ever delivered to me, it will be worthless.
I constantly have problems with this specialty pharmacy. I hate that I am forced to use this pharmacy. I am keeping meticulous notes. If my illness flares and I suffer a 3rd heart attack due to lack of effective treatment (due to expired medication) I want my family to be capable of suing them.
Horrible company
Horrible company. We are stuck with them but have had dozens of horrible interactions where they lie and cheat and steal. Do not choose them if you have a choice.
HEALTH RISK
HEALTH RISK - avoid CVS Specialty if you actually need your meds. It routinely takes over a week for meds to be delivered, and 1 out every 3 shipments doesn't arrive at all and needs to be reordered, resulting in delays of 1-2 weeks. My son has again been without his medication for 3 days and this has happened on multiple occasions. This poses a serious public health risk for anyone who needs their meds - the government really should investigate and shut this pharmacy down for completely failing their obligation to their patients.
CVS does not care about there employees…
CVS does not care about there employees they only care about making a dollar
This Prudent RXSpeciality Pharmacy…
This Prudent RXSpeciality Pharmacy thing is is disgusting. It doesn't work. They doon't tell you there's a balance until after they ship out the meds. At that point you're on the hook for the money. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS. IT'S ALL BULLSHIT. They waited until the last minute to tell me there's a 683 dollar balance.
Rude cashier
Cashier was very rude. Plus she short changes me .95 cents I didn’t have change so I handed her a dollar I owed .05 and what she gave me was a nickel back, I checked my receipt and I was supposed to get .95 back. I went early in the morning after doctor appointment to get prescriptions but pharmacy wasn’t open yet, so I stayed and shopped not feeling well I didn’t know what was going on. I feel I was taken advantage of.
CVS Specialty—Absolute Worst Ever
I have been going back and forth with CVS Specialty for over a month now! Worst customer service I have ever seen and I am 47!! Beware! If at all possible, go somewhere else, anywhere else!!
I am trying to get Tremfya, that’s prescribed by my Rheumatologist. CVS rude employees have repeatedly said I owe $2,000 despite having 2 Employee based Medical/Pharmacy insurance policies and a Johnson &Johnson Tremfya discount card!!
My Doctor said I owed nothing. The local CVS said I shouldn’t owe anything. Yet CVS Specialty tried every way they could to make me pay $2,000 out of pocket!
Finally today I called 1-800-250-9631 and spoke with Christina. She was so sweet and efficient! Took care of my billing issue in 2 minutes! I owe $0.
My helpful advice is to clean house over there! Get rid of the many rude employees like Lonnie! Keep the 3 good ones and send the rest away! Pathetic organization!
they are charging me $100 copay for a…
they are charging me $100 copay for a biosimilar to stelera. I was paying $5 for stelara. Now they don't even carry stelara- so only carrying cheaper drugs buy charging that much more for a cheaper version that was lauded as helping people because it would be cheaper HAHAHAH. TRACE THEY MONEY. They call and threat my access to drug, saying I owed m copay- really cause I have never been late-including this time- you screwed up and threatened my well being?? I will be going elsewhere
It's a shame you can't leave 0 stars
It's a shame you can't leave 0 stars. Honestly, the worst experience I've ever had. I'm not even sure it could be worse. This company is beyond terrible. They're dealing with specialty medicines for rare and life-threatening conditions, yet I've had better customer service from restaurants and retail stores. I wonder how many people they've caused the death of. I bet a lot!
CVS Specialty Customer Care (or lack thereof)
I followed up on a CVS Specialty email by calling the number provided. The person who eventually answered the phone told me he had to transfer me to someone else. I suggested that CVS place the correct number on following emails to avoid wasted time. He said he couldn't do that. I said "it sounds like you don't give a shit what service CVS provides." He said: "I don't."
