So far, so very promising…

The plants will tell how effective Dad's Farm's products are. But going by their website information, and the smell and nice dark colour of the Wood Vinegar, I am very hopeful, and have just purchased a larger container.
So glad this is available in the UK.
Let's plant more woodlands and hedges to make more wood vinegar! Thanks Dad's Farm team.

Dad's Farm recommends a 1:50 dilution, some research I am aware is more in the 1:200-500 range. I like to go a bit easier on the concentration.

New build on industrial brownland.…

Firstly we have built a house on brown industrial
Agricultural land on sandstone next to the sea ( 1km) in land. Pretty much it has never grown trees due to concrete. I have inoculated different soils for many years using deciduous mycorrhizal fungi. This product will provide a fresh base in the soil combined with my own compost which is twigs leaves and worm casts. Patience will give you the results you want in your own soil This product will help you in that endeavour.

Great quality inoculated biochar

Great quality inoculated biochar, bought a small bag to try on my living soil mix, need to cook up a batch soon and had been wanting to try it for a while, glad i came across this great product from a family run uk business.
I always try to source my organic inputs as locally as possible.

Delighted with Dad’s Farm

I’ve now tried several products and can cofirm that I’m well pleased. The Inoculated Biochar produced excellent well flavoured strawberries from a planter under a plastic cover. I learnt by trial an error that straight Biochar needs to be activated or it can rob the soil of nitrogen, but after the addition of homemade compost and worm juice from my wormery plants are now catching up fast. I use Wood Vinegar regularly once every three weeks at 1:50 dilution as a coarse spray and it has cleared up an early powdery mildew attack on cordon apples and a recurrence of woolly aphid. It seems to produce healthier foliage all round; fruit developing well.
Now I’ve added Wormcast Compost, and more Inoculated Biochar in my latest order and looking forward to a much healthier organic garden

Arrived quickly and the team were really helpful when I had queries about the product before I ordered. I have just fed all the plants so hopefully the like it :) If the packaging could be non-plastic it would be even better!

I was recommended the use of Wood Vinegar by my son, who lives in Thailand, so this is a first for me. He and my daughter-in-law highly recommend it.Having seen Googled it and found Dads Farm website I was impressed by the information provided and also importantly the price. Delivery was super quick and the vendors communication first-class. I'll certainly keep their info handy for future use.

Prompt efficient service

Very impressed by the service and the ethos. Not received the biochar yet but looking forward to it! Our only source of biochar on the Isle of Wight was closed down by neighbors who complained about the smoke.
