As close to a scam as it gets (and still getting what you purchased)
I ordered two sets of tires from Daek-Guru because they claimed to have them in stock at a reasonable price. That was a costly mistake.
Let's pretend for a moment that their terrible web shop is acceptable in 2026. I powered through their horrific UX and punched in my credit card details anyway, purely because online reviews said the site was legit.
Then the absurdities started:
* After the purchase I got an unappealing confirmation email (sender “no.reply at daek-guru.dk” we’ll see why this matters later). Days later, I discovered a tiny text link buried below the fold to actually process the payment. Why ask for my credit card details at checkout if you aren't going to process the payment?!
* To days later I received two different order numbers and two different invoices for two different orders. Why? I only placed one. Why should a customer have to decipher your mess of a fulfillment process? And why are you sending tracking emails for unpaid goods?
* The good part is that I received my two sets of tires, and assumed that having received the invoices and the goods, I was a happy buyer… not for long
* Having received the items, a generic email with “no-reply” as an address was received. Naturally, an email like that gets missed in a busy inbox. Later, I discovered that it said that my payment was overdue
Imagine my surprise when, days after receiving the tires, a letter from a debt collection agency arrived at my e-Boks threatening to flag me as a bad payer.
I tried calling Daek-Guru’s customer support multiple times (which is based in Germany, despite them using a Danish domain). After navigating German phone number formats from Denmark, I was rewarded with endless waiting on hold, only for the calls to automatically drop. No answer. Zero support.
I ended up overpaying with collection fees just to avoid a drawn-out legal headache caused entirely by their atrocious e-commerce practices. (The collection agency’s predatory tactics are a story for another day, though at least they actually answer the phone).
N-E-V-E-R again with Daek-Guru or any of their affiliate sites. Consider yourself warned.
