I very much enjoy these DGD competitions. Like any of these things, I urge people to only spend what you can afford first of all!

As far as the competitions are concerned, so far, I've won;

I've spoken with the guys on the phone, and they're genuinely lovely people. The guitars and kit they have on the site tend to be a pretty decent spread of stuff, it's hard to cater to all tastes but, in my opinion, if you throw a few quid at a ticket and win something unexpected, you can try something you wouldn't have normally purchased and potentially take your guitar/bass playing in an entirely new direction, and, should you not like it, you've got a guitar you can sell for proper money at the end of it.

It's a small group behind this guitar centered giveaway site. They promote guitar building by providing how to videos as well as developing and selling custom tools for builders.

They also review the latest offerings from guitar manufacturing companies, guitar pedal builders and amplifier builders.

Great idea well executed. As a previous winner I’m fully bought in to the draw but there is a need to maintain the high quality of guitars on offer ( ie not too many SEs and Epiphones - and why not more Crimson guitars?). Also would be good to have an update on the progress of the guitar museum that the draw was originally set up to support. What is in the museum collection? Has it been properly curated - with histories and background to each of the guitars and which it is significant enough to have a place in the museum? Is it available to view on line? Etc etc. what are the opening times etc

Great team, great prizes. The major stand-out - you know up front how many tickets are being sold for each draw, so you know upfront the odds (other sites dont give this out, you have no idea of your chances of winning)

Great competition. Over the last 18 months or so I have won 6 guitars and an effects pedal. The videos and draws are great fun to watch and the community is really friendly.

It raises £s for the planned Dorset Guitar Museum.

First off I have won three guitars in two years. I have had lung cancer during that whole time and skin cancer, it was just a great experience. Crimson has been very honest helpful in any other positive thing I can think of. I live in the USA and shipping was free right to my door in seven days. Could not believe it. Living in the USA I could not believe England did not have a guitar museum and I’m very glad Crimson is edging towards that goal and I will help him in anyway I can.

I just like the idea of having a little fling which i don’t mind losing or winning a prize ( 4 so far) because it all goes to such a good cause. I don’t gamble at all, never have done so i take each of my attempts to win as a donation to Dorset Guitar Museum lol.

Ben was inspired to start a guitar museum. So If.buying a few lottery tickets helps Ben’s vision, why not….
