Ordered a hobby tool

Ordered a hobby tool that is hard to find in Europe (Godhand spn-120).

Their site looks slightly dodgy and there isn't a lot of info on this company but no major red flags so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Good communication about my order, it did however take them about 5 business days to ship with FedEx. Once shipped the item arrived from Japan to the Netherlands in 3 business days which is impressive.

Keep in mind that you still need to pay customs fees. I also had to pay an extra FedEx fee for them prepaying the customs fees which is ridiculous but that's obviously not Daitool's fault.

All in all this wasn't a cheap gig but I got the tool I wanted which would otherwise have taken months to be in stock at any local retailer if at all.

I'd recommend them!

Was a bit nervous, but overall VERY positive :)

I was a bit nervous after I ordered from them, as there were so few reviews online about daitool.com. It's definitely a Japanese shop (Expandy), so dont worry if you think its a chinese shop masquerading as a japanese one. They sent my order with Fedex all the way to Norway, and it arrived in good time. Everything was packaged well and undamaged. Price was much cheaper than buying the same stuff in Norway locally!

So I am very happy and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Bait & Switch @ checkout; zero customer svc

I was about to order $130.81 worth of items, which would have qualified me for free shipping.
While shopping, I was also promised 15% discount at checkout.
However, after inputting my information and the discount code which I received in the email (WELCOME15H4W92LX4), I was informed I'd be paying $12 standard shipping after all (not free shipping).
The price of merchandise had suddenly changed to $165 and the 15% discount was applied to THIS amount for an order summary of 142.81, not the actual $130.81 I saw at checkout.
We call this "bait and switch"--when promises made earlier in a transaction are not kept in the end.
In other words, Daitool negated the free shipping after applying the 15% discount.
I was not informed that I was to CHOOSE EITHER "free shipping" OR "15% discount."
The discount should NOT be computed AFTER shipping is calculated bc shipping is not merchandise and is not a cost that's up to me.
I have reached out to them four times.
It's been three business days. I have yet to receive a response from Daitool.

Good online retailer based in Japan

Daitool.com (Japanese company) offers items for sale priced in GBP. This may vary on a daily basis based on Yen/GBP exchange rate.
While price of my order was 10% cheaper than UK retailer, buyers should be aware, UK import tax may be applied to the item in addition to initial cost.
There was an issue with a two week delay in receiving my order upon arrival in UK, but solely caused by FedEx losing my parcel, hence reason for 4 star review.
Daitool support was very helpful and the issue was ultimately resolved after a two week wait.
I'm happy with the goods and service.
