Very poor customer experience

I contacted Damp Pro (Head Office Colwyn Bay) to do a damp survey on a property I own, agreed a price and was invoiced in advance. So far, so good.
On receipt on their invoice, the invoice format was wrong and so, as they had the Property Care Association (PCA) logo on their website, I rang PCA to confirm whether the company was genuine?

The staff member at PCA informed me they had no record of Damp Pro on their system and so based on this information, I cancelled the survey appointment with Damp Pro and informed then of the reason I was cancelling .

Many emails then followed between Damp Pro and myself, which included a membership certificate for a Daniel Thomas (an independent damp surveyor) with PCA dated 2024.

As membership certificates are annual, I contacted PCA again and found that while Damp Pro as a company was not registered with them, Daniel Thomas still was.

Whether this gives Damp Pro as a company, the right to display a PCA membership logo when it is one of their independent surveyors who is registered with PCA I can't say. What I can say is that Damp Pro refused by business based on this confusion and consequently, I can't recommend them.
