Ripped hard
Hi. Have booked a hotel for 2 nights and if states on booking.com - all charges and taxes included. A few days before arriving have been sent messages from Dan hostel asking if I wanted to pay 1000 kr for cleaning or if I did it myself then it would only cost 250 kr for them to check it. It’s insane. Booking.com is a scam site . It’s not ethical. The booking is non refundable aswell so you can see what type of business danhostel is also here. When I have made booking.com aware of it they said I should read the small print . I even say that their website says charges and taxes included and they still insisted that I read the small print. Think it’s the last time I’ll be using this site . I prefer honest people
Also danhostel is annoying enough to make me take down 3 different meter numbers- water,gas,and power- while on holiday. And of course charge me 3 times the market rate . I’d rather stay anywhere else.

I spend the weekend from friday to sunday here. It's a relatively affordable place, but thats about the only good thing about it.

So I booked a bed in the common room, where six people sleep. The bathroom sink was clogged, the water pressure from the shower head was slow to the degree of not existing, not a bar of soap to be found(this is why I always bring my own) and there were signs of mould in the shower.

When I came back saturday night around midnight, my bedding and sheets were gone. I went to the lobby to ask about this, and all I got from the person at the desk was that 'perhaps the maids have made a mistake'.

Not a good situation, coming home late, taking the elevator to the 16th floor to go to bed, having to go down again to retrieve new bedding, go back up to the 16th floor to make the bed in the middle of the night, waking up the others in the process.

The whole bedding situation might have been tolerable, if the bathroom hadn't been absolutely disgusting and dysfunctional. Or if I had received some minimal type of discount for the stay.

Copenhagen has other lowbudget places to stay, if you're in the city. Don't waste your money staying at Danhostel. I won't do this to myself again.
