Response from company was fast and apologetic to my concerns. As I mentioned in my original complaint, the socks are great! Darn Tough satisfactorily addressing the warranty process brings me back to a five star product rating.

In general, great socks!
However, after 3 years, 3 pair wore through on the top by the ankle crease. Having not used their warranty in the EU I thought I would give it a try.
Hassles, multiple pictures required to be taken, I'm told to cut up my socks but when I do, it's not the way they think they should be cut even though it is not explained in the warranty email. More cuts and pictures to be taken.
Not worth the hassle so it makes me question the seriousness of their "lifetime" warranty or the value of their socks.

I had an issue with my order. They were slow to respond at first but handled the matter very well.

Absolutely brilliant socks ,simply won’t buy another other brand, people say expensive,I say you get what you pay for!!

I own 4 pairs of steely darn tough socks for work which are extremely comfortable. I have had them over 18 months and wear them hard. The reason for writing this review is one pair developed a hole in the heel. I filled out the form amd got a new pair for free on their warranty. And I can do this for life. I am now only buying darn tough socks.

I had been holding off on buying these because I thought the price was a bit too high. When I got my socks and put them on I wondered why I didn’t start buying these years ago. Absolutely the most comfortable socks I own (no show with tab) the cushion is really nice and the top of the foot is nice and thin and keeps my feet cool.

I run between 1500 and 2000 miles a year and have never had a blister since using Darn Tough socks.

I finally got holes in one pair and was wondering if the warranty process would be a hassle and it was very smooth. Customer service was great. I got my promo code for new socks in a couple weeks and added more socks to my warranty claim because so far everything has been excellent.

Worth every penny!

I sincerely do not know how all the reviews are not 5/5. People complaining about expensive socks?
I have recieved replacements for 5 pairs of socks already without ANY problems whatsoever. Easy process.
Name me one other Brand that makes Merino socks this sturdy, which you will get refunded when they are damaged.
I go hiking ALOT and these are by far the best socks I have ever owned, period!

I’ve been trying to return a pair of socks for 9 days now! Their computer system states that I’ve returned them but I haven’t and they agree with that however, they say they have to produce a manual returns label for me to return them and guess what …. I’m still waiting for it. Absolutely shocking customer service. Take days to respond to emails with nothing effective in any response. I will never ever purchase anything from them ever again and I will be advising many of my friends and shop owners not to stock them because of the awful customer service I’ve experienced. I’ve been an online shopper for 25 years and never once experienced such awful customer service!

Absolutely dreadful customer service! Not what you’d expect when you are purchasing premium products. Firstly no phone number. What kind of business doesn’t have a phone? I ordered some socks last Thursday 20/02/2025 evening at £27 a pack. About an hour later I decided to actually check how many came in a pack. I was horrified to find it was for a pack of 1 pair! I immediately emailed them to cancel the order, I received an automated response. No one got back to me and it’s now Tuesday and I have 2 pairs of socks I don’t want and a whole lot of inconvenience. I have emailed them again today and yet another automated response.

These socks feel horrible on your feet - sliding in your shoes. I am used to all cotton. They felt so uncomfortable it made me question what they are made of. Oh it's Nylon. One of the worst materials for micro plastic pollution.

They make such a great product. My go to sock brand, from running to hiking.

Socks are good. Unfortunately, I was only delivered four and a half pairs (when I ordered five pairs). They were very slow to respond to my emails about the problem; however, I did order over Black Friday weekend (which might well have produced a glut of customer service enquiries, I suppose).

Anyway, I did receive a replacement pair today, so I ended up basically happy... even though the slow initial response concerned me a bit 🙂👍🏻

I bought a pair of Darn Tough heavy weight tactical socks a few months ago just to see if they were really any better than ordinary wool socks, and I couldn't be more pleased. I only wear high quality wool socks, so that's my comparison point. These socks are as comfortable as any other pair of socks I own, and MUCH warmer. Additionally, being solid brown, they are attractive, and there's nothing in the appearance of these socks that would be out of place with a business suit. I plan to buy another pair in black, which I will wear in place of dress socks, and no one will be any the wiser - but I'll be a lot more comfortable.
For anyone with circulation issues or diabetes, anyone working in cold conditions, or anyone who simply likes the feel of warm feet in well-cushioned socks, these are for you.

Incedible customer service

Socks only last around 3 months before getting holes. The warrant process is drawm out. You have to fill a form, get approval, then send photos of cut up pair of socks (even of only one has hole in). On the second time I did this I was made to feel like I was being dishonest. They even suggested I tried a thicker sock!
Then when I've tried to redeem the refund points it says my payment cannot be verified. In my opinion you're much better off buying cheaper socks that will last just as long.

I had been toying with the idea of ordering a pair of socks from Darn Tough for a while and I finally made the decision and ordered a pair of Micro Crew Midweight Hiking Socks. Their lifetime warranty definitely swayed me, as I was originally wary of paying a higher price for just one pair of socks. The shipping was faster than I expected coming from outside the UK and when the socks arrived they were great quality. I will be buying another pair and hopefully that will be all I need for life. I definitely think it's more cost effective than re-buying cheaper pairs every few years. I can't wait to test these out travelling in the Winter

Up until today, I have been an loyal buyer of Darn Tough. I have many pairs of Darn Tough's and no issues up until today. I went to put my no show on, and my finger went through the back, they are just over a year old, worn once a week at most, as I rotate my socks. So I used the Darn Tough Lifetime Warranty and will be getting my new socks soon, but in order to get this, you HAVE TO CUT YOUR SOCKS that have the hole in them. What UTTER waste of a pair of socks. Shameful.

Bought a pair of the “Cool Max” no show socks. Within 10 mins of wearing them my foot were overheating and sweaty. Will definitely not be buying anymore pairs.

Well more than two weeks and 12 messages after I placed my order, I still don't have the right socks or any clue when I will get them. They did send the wrong product, in the wrong size, fairly quickly, but they seem pretty clueless as to what to do next.
